PLEASE NOTE: The Duo Battery Patch (1.0) has been reposted here with an updated

The Duo Battery Patch (Extension) has been developed to resolve a problem
discovered with some PowerBook Duo 210/230/250's, with Express Modems
installed, using version 1.0 of the PowerBook Duo Enabler.
 
The problem is that the PowerBook Duo battery won't recharge and the Battery DA
shows blank or empty.
 
Apple recommends that all Duo users upgrade to version 1.0 of the PowerBook Duo
Enabler.  Users of 210Õs, 230Õs, or 250Õs, with Express Modems installed,
should also install the Duo Battery Patch.  Users of 270cÕs do not need to
install this patch.
 
This patch is being rolled into future versions of Duo enablers.  When the next
version of the PowerBook Duo Enabler is released, users can feel free to remove
this patch from their system.
 
INSTALLATION
 
Follow these steps to install the extension.
 
1. Locate the System Folder of your startup disk. (Do not open the System
   Folder.)
 
2. Drag the file Duo Battery Patch on top of the System Folder.
 
3. When a message appears, click OK to install the file in the Extensions
   folder.
 
4. Restart the PowerBook Duo.
