To help you get started in attaching this ASCII printer to an Infoprint iSeries (AS/400) System "printer profile", source files to create workstation customization objects (WSCST) are provided. A workstation customization object is similar in function to the printer function tables (PFT) used in workstations but are used by the Host Print Transform function in the iSeries. Two source files are provided. One is based on the IBM 2391 printer object for single byte character set applications and the second is based on the Epson ESCP printer object for double byte and GB18030 character set applications. The files have been customized with 4247 unique commands to control the selection of paper paths (Drawers 1 and 2), print qualities (Draft, Text, Letter), print densities (various pitches based on the FONT parameter), and various page sizes. LICENSE.TXT: Licensing agreement ZIBM424L.TXT: Source file for 4247 workstation customization object for single byte character set applications. ZIBMESCP.TXT: Source file for 4247 workstation customization object for double byte character set applications. See the Workstation Customization Programming manual (SC41-3605) for detailed information about Host Print Transform and the installation of these files on your system. For additional information concerning Host Print Transform and the creation of additional workstation customization objects for this printer, refer to the AS/400 Printer Device Programming manual (SC41-3713) or AS400 Workstation Customization Function Programmer's Guide (SC41-0056).
