The Infoprint 4247 Windows driver files are all in Zip
format and must be downloaded and extracted to a known
location for installation using the following procedure.

From the Infoprint 4247 Model-xxx web page: 

1.  Select "FTP" next to the appropriate operating system
    driver you wish to download.
2.  Select "Save" from the File Download window. Select a
    location where the files can easily be found and hit
    "Save" in the Save As window.
3.  A Download Complete window will open when the file has
    finished downloading. Select "Open" to view the downloaded
    files.

    *NOTE* Selecting "Open" will attempt to open the file in
           it's Zip format. A file compression tool is
           required.

4.  When the file compression tool opens, extract the files to
    a known location where they can easily be found.

5.  Add the desired printer to your system using the 
    appropriate documentation for your operating 
    system.

    For Windows 7 select: 

	START --> Devices and Printers --> Add a printer
   
    For Windows XP select: 

	START --> Printers and Faxes --> Add a printer

6.  The Add Printer Wizard will now open. Select "Next".
7.  Select "Local printer attached to this computer".
8.  Select "Use the following port" and select the 
    correct port for your connection type from the drop down 
    menu. Hit "Next" to continue.
9.  Select "Have Disk ..." from the Install Printer 
    Software window.
10. Browse to the location where the driver files were
    unzipped in Step 4 above.
11. Highlight the .INF file and select "Open".
12. Select 'OK" from the "Install from Disk" window.
13. Select "Next" from the Add Printer Wizard" window.
14. Select "Next" for the remaining prompts until the 
    Add Printer Wizard closes.
15. The printer is now installed and should be visible
    in your operating systems printer list.
