My printer keeps timing out and does not print

Question

My printer keeps timing out and does not print the entire PostScript File. How do I fix this?

Answer

Review your printer documentation and determine if there is a DTR Flow
Control setting in the printer software. This handles the transmission
speed from the PC to the printer. If it is set below 5, the printer expects
a smaller file than the one you are sending and stops processing the print
steam before it is complete. Reset the DTR to 5 and the file should print.

More PostScript "helpful hints" like this are documented in the Text
  Programmer's and SCRIPT User's guides.
