                   MULTIPLE 3900S ON A SINGLE IBM POD SYSTEM
 
 The  current  IBM Print on Demand (POD) software announcement (dated 6-28-96)
 allows for the attachment of only one IBM 3900 High Resolution Duplex  Print-
 ing System models DR1/DR2 to the IBM POD Multiple Printer Controller.
 
 Operational scenarios are being defined and a customer criteria test environ-
 ment is being set up in our development lab to perform multiple printer eval-
 uations. We expect to distribute definitive data in October to help all of us
 prequalify  customer  environment(s).  Please defer any customer requests for
 multiple printer attachments until this test environment is complete and  the
