       OS/400 LEVELS REQUIRED FOR PSF DIRECT (PSF/2 & PSF/6000) SUPPORT
 
 When  using  PSF/2  or PSF/6000 Direct from an AS/400 environment the minimum
 level of OS/400 varies by attachment type and printer type.    The  following
 additional information is intended to clarify precisely which level your cus-
 tomer  will  require.    Note that where "V3R1" is used, it means OS/400 V3R1
 with the PSF/400 feature!  (Prior to V3R1 PSF/400 shipped as part  of  OS/400
 all the time).  This FLASH is an update and replaces BLD FLASH 9451.
 
 
 
 
 FOR CCU AND 3130, 3160 AND 3935 AFCCU PRINTERS.

 Note:   CCU  Printers  include  3825,3827,3828,3829,3835  (Both  Models)  and
 3900-001.
 
 o   V2R3 - Cum tape C4193230 or later.  3130 and 3160 must be configured  for
     3935 emulation mode.
 
 
 o   V3R0.5 - Cum tape C4263305 or later. 3130 and 3160 must be configured for
     3935 emulation mode.
 
 o   V3R1  - 3935 emulation mode not required for 3130 and 3160.  For 3130 and
     3160, the following  PTFs  are  required:    SF23124,  SF23378,  SF23379,
     SF23382,  SF23383,  and  SF23188.   Please apply these PTF's plus any co-
     req/pre-reqs they might list.  These PTFs may have been superceded.
 
 NOTE: 3130 can be configured as 240 pel or 300 pel resolution  under  all  of
 the above OS/400 levels including when configuring the 3130 in 3935 emulation
 mode.
 
 
 
 FOR GROUP-4 OR AFCCU 3900 PRINTERS:

 Note:  Group-4  printers include 3112,3116,3912,3916,3812,3816,3930, 4028 and
 4230 IPDS models.    AFCCU  3900  printers  include  all  models  except  the
 3900-001.
 
 o   V3R1  is *REQUIRED*.  Also, the following PTF's are needed for PSF Direct
     Support: SF20877, SF21489, SF21509 and SF23188.  Please apply these PTF's
     plus any co-req/pre-reqs they might list. These PTFs may have been super-
     ceded.
 
 
 
 FOR NON-IPDS PRINTERS:
