TAB FIX TOOL

VAGen 3.0, 3.1, and 4.0 incorrectly allow tab characters to be saved within
VAGen parts.  This is a problem when exporting and importing the parts.
A fix is available (APAR PQ35271) which will prevent this problem.  If you
already have parts containing tab characters, this tool will repair those
parts.

The tool will fix all parts loaded in an image, by changing tab characters
to spaces.  Only parts with tabs in them will be modified.  It is recommended
that you version your classes and applications before running the tool, so you
may easily see which parts have been modified, and so you'll have a baseline
to return to if there are problems.

To run the tool:

- Download tabs.dat from
  ftp://ps.software.ibm.com/ps/products/visualagegen/info
- The .dat file contains two versions of the HptTabFixApp application --
  version 3.x and 4.0.  Import and load the version associated with the
  version of VAGen you are using.  To import the tool, from the VisualAge
  Organizer, select Applications->Import/Export->Import Applications.
- To run the tool, type "HptTabFix fix" in the System Transcript window.
  Select the text and choose Edit->Execute to execute it.
