Testing line continuity on an adapter port

To test line continuity on an adapter port:

  1. In the navigation area, select Switch Management --> Switch Network Management.

  2. In the Overview pane, select End-Point View.

  3. Select the adapter port line that you want to test.

  4. From the Selected menu, select Diagnose --> Line Continuity Test.

Testing line continuity on a switch port

To test line continuity on a switch port:

  1. In the navigation area, select Switch Management --> Switch Network Management.

  2. In the Overview pane, select Switch Topology View.

  3. Select the switch port that you want to test.

  4. From the Selected menu, select Diagnose --> Line Continuity Test.

Verifying server and adapter links

To verify a server or adapter link:

  1. In the navigation area, select Switch Management --> Switch Network Management.

  2. In the Overview pane, select End-Point View.

  3. Select the server or adapter link that you want to verify.

  4. From the Selected menu, select Diagnose --> Verify Link.

Verifying chip and port links

To verify a chip or port link:

  1. In the navigation area, select Switch Management --> Switch Network Management.

  2. In the Overview pane, select Switch Topology View.

  3. Select the line for the chip or port link that you want to verify.

  4. From the Selected menu, select Diagnose --> Verify Link.

Wrap testing server and adapter links

To wrap test a server or adapter link:

  1. In the navigation area, select Switch Management --> Switch Network Management.

  2. In the Overview pane, select End-Point View.

  3. Select the line for the server or adapter link that you want to test.

  4. From the Selected menu, select Diagnose --> Wrap Test.

Wrap testing port links

To wrap test a port link:

  1. In the navigation area, select Switch Management --> Switch Network Management.

  2. In the Overview pane, select Switch Topology View.

  3. Select the line for the port link that you want to test.

  4. From the Selected menu, select Diagnose --> Wrap Test.
