Installing the WM for iSeries(AS/400) Agent - V8 FixPack 6

This section describes how to download and install the V8 FP6 agent on your iSeries system.

Follow these steps:

• Download the file WM81FP6.EXE on your windows machine
• Double click the file to extract the file WM81FP6
• FTP the file WM81FP6 to your iSeries system in binary mode
• End the Warehouse Manager Daemon by typing ENDVWD on iSeries command line
• Delete all spool files associated with warehouse jobs
• Delete the existing V8 GA or FP1 or FP2 or FP3 or FP4 or FP5 iSeries Agent by typing DLTLICPGM LICPGM(5765F42) on iSeries command line
• Install iSeries Agent FP6 from save file using the command RSTLICPGM LICPGM(5765F42) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(xxxxxxx/WM81FP6) where xxxxxxx is the library which contains the binary save file. You should see the message licence program restored, without any error.
• Start the Warehouse manager daemon by typing STRVWD on iSeries command line.

  Important: Fixpacks are created in English only. If your iSeries system is running a primary langugae other than English, please use the language parameter on the RSTLICPGM command as below: RSTLICPGM LICPGM(5765F42) DEV(*SAVF) LNG(2924) SAVF(xxxxxxx/WM81FP6)
