In addition to the following Beta known issues, also see the list of Release Notes in the draft copy of the ShowCase Analyzer 7.2 Guide, Chapter 2. After you install the product, you can access the Guide from the Information Map on the Analyzer launch page.
Installation
When you select Install Analyzer from the initial install screen, the Analyzer 7.20 - InstallShield Wizard dialog box
displays and remains throughout the installation. At the final install screen, when you click Finish, the following
error message appears:
Could not delete setup files folder C:\DOCUME~1\username\LOCALS~1\Temp\ANALYZER
where username is your Windows user name.
When you click OK, the InstallShield Wizard dialog box closes, but the setup files (80MB) remain on your PC. You must go to the
setup files folder indicated in the error message and delete these files. (25154)

Java Plug-in memory guidelines
A minimum of 64MB and a maximum of 128MB is recommended for Java Plug-in memory. Insufficient memory may result in OutofMemory errors (when you are importing a large number of reports, for example). For instructions on increasing Java Plug-in memory, see Chapter 9 of the ShowCase Analyzer 7.2 Guide.
Licensing
The Analysis Server Console uses a license. If you log onto Analysis Server Console, then log onto two Java Web Client sessions, you cannot log onto a third Java Web Client session. The Analyzer license allows only three sessions. (24406)
Licenses are not immediately released. For example, if you log onto three Analyzer sessions, log off one session, then attempt to log onto another session, the logon will fail, even if you wait as long as 10 minutes to log on. (24407)
After starting the Analyzer Server, the Tomcat log will list the Active Licensed User Count as 1 -- even before you log on to any sessions. (24416)
If only one license is available, externally authenticated users will be unable to log on. (24414)
Migration
A report group name containing forward slashes (/) in Analyzer 6.21 or 7.01 is migrated to Analyzer 7.2 as a folder with subfolders named based on the text before and after the forward slashes. For example, an Analyzer 7.01 report group named "A/B/C Group" will migrate to Analyzer 7.2 as folder "A," with subfolders "B" and "C Group." (24824)
ShowCase Data Model (SDM) reports migrated from a pre-7.2 version of Analyzer cannot be opened in Analyzer 7.2. (24681)
Database connections are not migrated to user preferences. (24941)
The migration process disables the "Change Password at Next Login" Administration Tools setting. For example, if you enable the "Change Password at Next Login" setting for a user in Analyzer 7.2, then migrate files containing that user to 7.2, the setting will be disabled. (25021)
Restoring User Groups
If you create a save file of an Analyzer 7.2 environment containing user groups with user assignments, then run the RSTANZ command to restore, user groups will be restored without user assignments. (24892)
Global database access
Analyzer users will be able to see all global databases migrated to 7.2 even if they did not have access to these databases in 6.21/7.01. However, users will not be able to create reports against global database connections unless they have valid user profiles on the server against which the connection was created. (24993)
Making changes to the repository
Changes made to the repository are not reflected in Analyzer until you refresh. For example, if you log on to Administration Tools Client, create a new user group, then log off and log onto Java Web Client, you will not see the new user group. To see the new user group, you must right-click the folder containing the user group and select Refresh from the drop-down menu. (23281)
Deleting externally authenticated users
If you set your security.authDiffAction setting in the Analyzer.properties file to DELETE, then change your security setting -- for example, from iSeries Authentication to Essbase Authentication -- externally authenticated users that are valid in the new security model will not be deleted. (24384)
Opening reports with members renamed in Essbase
If you use an Essbase Server connection to create a report with advanced member-selection options, such as "Also Select Siblings," then rename the member in Essbase, you will receive an error message the next time you attempt to open the report. (24946)
Adding columns in SQL Query Builder Wizard
When you add columns to a table in the SQL Query Builder Wizard, the Available Columns list is not updated. (24594)
Import Wizard Restore button
The Import Wizard Restore button, used to restore the original database connection exported with a report, is non-functional. (24031)
Analyzer API Client Test Console
The Analyzer API Client Test Console fails to load. On the Analyzer launch page, click Analyzer Information Map. Click API Java Docs. Under Contents, click Samples. Click Web Client Test Console. The message "Loading Java Applet Failed..." appears in the lower left corner of the browser. (24433)
Non-ASCII characters
Dimensions containing non-ASCII characters cannot be expanded using the "+" option in Cube Navigator. (24496)
Searching for dimensions containing non-ASCII characters is not supported. (24503)
