Required PTF Levels
The latest available Cumulative, HIPER, and Group PTFs listed at http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/recommendedfixes need to be downloaded and applied. Apply these PTFs to your System i after JDK is installed.
V5R4 users are also required to apply PTF 5722SS1-S135038.

Release Notes
The following are the noteworthy known issues of this release and workarounds where available. The defect number follows the description of the issue.
Web Analysis Quick start Guide has a few items that are not correct. See below for updated items:
1) Installation is not required on client side.
2) Web Analysis and Workspace can be accessed through web browser on client side.
3) SmartView client can be installed via Workspace.
[ECM00121398]Migration from ShowCase Essbase 7.1 to Essbase 11.1.1 for IBM i: After migration, integrated iSeries users are not able to run reports. Workaround: After migration to 11.1.1, log in as administrator user and re-grant Integrated Security user permission to access database. For example, you can use a MaxL command as shown here:
grant read on database app1.db to 'ISTest';[ECM00110264]Migration from ShowCase Essbase 7.1 to Essbase 11.1.1 for IBM i: Some applications were corrupted after migration from one iSeries to another. Workaround: Use the EAS 11.1.1 Console to start the Migration Wizard to migrate Essbase 7.1 applications to EPM 11.1.1. Note: Only one application can be migrated at a time by using this migration wizard. [ECM00112162]
Native command OLAPICMD is not implemented. No workaround using native commands but same functionality can be performed by using the olapicmd_start command in PASE. [ECM00109375]
Native ESSCMD invokes error "Error Reading Rules File." This functionality can be performed by using interactive ESSCMD native command and then using builddim command. Same functionality can also be performed by using the ESSCMD command in PASE or using the EAS Console on a Windows PC. [ECM00112158]
Essbase server stops responding when user creates a rule file for load data for Unicode applications using relational database. No workaround for loading data in Unicode applications from a relational data source such as DB2/Oracle or SQL Server. Data load in Unicode applications can be performed using text files as data source. [ECM00112163]
Native command RUNESSCLC invokes error "Invalid character in name." This functionality can be performed by using interactive ESSCMD native command and then using RunCalc command. Same functionality can be performed by using ESSCMD command in PASE or using the EAS Console on a Windows PC. [ECM00109782]
Essbase Server terminates abnormally when Delete Database command is executed from ESSCMD. Intermittent issue with no workaround. [ECM00109426]
APS: Application throws error while launching the Drill Through Report in Smart View. Same functionality can be performed using Excel plugin. [ECM00112318]
When service is started in QShell or PASE, Essbase Analytic Server is not started and an error is displayed. Workaround: Essbase can be started from HYPERION_HOME/hyperion/products/Essbase11/EssbaseServer/bin using ./startEssbase.sh. [ECM00112409]
Essbase: Application does not refresh the copied rule files/Report Scripts list in case of ASO app with all dbs option selected. No workaround. [ECM00110509]
OLAP server: Application does not display the Copy Partition dialog box in case of copying the existing partitions. No workaround. [ECM00110508]
EAS: In business rules 'java.lang.NullPointerException' is thrown. Intermittent issue. [ECM00104843]
Shared Services: Newly created user is able to login to EAS even if we do not provision this user. No workaround. [ECM00103957]
OLAP client: Excel crashes when missing label value is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. OLAP Client issue. No workaround. [ECM00111804]
Workspace: Application invokes process error message when logged off from workspace. User needs to login again. [ECM00111899]
