Description
CCTRACK controls whether exchange rates are tracked while Hyperion Essbase calculates currency conversions.
By default, Hyperion Essbase tracks exchange rates that are applied to
data as conversions are calculated, allowing conversion to occur
at report time through the Spreadsheet Add-in or the
Report Writer.
Setting CCTRACK to FALSE turns off the tracking system
with the following results:
- A CCONV command assumes the data to be converted is always
in local currency.
- Currency report options assume that the data to be converted,
at report time, is always in local currency. This means that even if the data
has already been converted in the database, it is recoverted at report time and can yield inaccurate results.
- The restrictions on operations such as FIX or DATACOPY are
removed for conversion calculations. For example, when you have a currency partition and CCTRACK
is set to TRUE, you cannot use the CCONV calculation command outside a FIX statement.
Conversely, when you do not have a currency partition, and CCTRACK is set to TRUE,
Hyperion Essbase does not allow you to calculate without a FIX statement. Setting CCTRACK to
FALSE eliminates these restrictions.
Example
CCTRACK TRUE
