If you want to customize your Hyperion Essbase network settings, you can create a file on the client called ESSBASE.CFG. Settings specified in ESSBASE.CFG override the Hyperion Essbase defaults.
Only the settings listed in this section can be used in your ESSBASE.CFG client file.
To Create a client ESSBASE.CFG file:
Using an editing program, create a file named ESSBASE.CFG (essbase.cfg on UNIX platforms) in your ARBORPATH\BIN directory, and include one setting on each line.
For example:
NETRETRYCOUNT 100 NETDELAY 300
