With the ESSBASE.CFG
configuration file (essbase.cfg
on UNIX platforms), you can customize your Hyperion Essbase configuration. Settings specified in the ESSBASE.CFG
file apply to an entire Hyperion Essbase server. These settings override the Hyperion Essbase defaults and apply to all databases within
all applications on the server.
If Java is automatically installed during the Hyperion Essbase installation,
the ESSBASE.CFG
file is created with the JVMMODULELOCATION setting specifying
the path and filename of a Java Virtual Machine library to be used by Hyperion
Essbase. If Java is not automatically installed during the Hyperion Essbase
installation, the ESSBASE.CFG
file does not exist until an Hyperion Essbase
administrator creates it.
There are two types of ESSBASE.CFG
files, one at the server level and one at the client level; each file accepts different settings.
