<ICHILDREN

Command

The ICHILDREN command selects the specified member and all members in the level immediately below it.

Syntax

<ICHILDREN mbrName

mbrName Dimension or member name of the parent

Description

This command selects a member and its children, as defined in the Database Outline.

Example

<ICHILDREN Year

Which selects members Qtr1, Qtr2, Qtr3, Qtr4, and Year, in that order (see the Notes for this command).

<ICHILDREN Qtr1

Which selects members Jan, Feb, Mar, and Qtr1, in that order (see the Notes for this command).

Notes

If member names contain spaces (for example, Cost of Goods Sold or consist of numbers (for example, 100-10), they must be enclosed in double quotes.
ICHILDREN lists members in their defined order, according to the database outline. The parent, which is the member specified as the parameter in the ICHILDREN command, is listed last.
