1.0 About this release

IBM® WebSphere® Development Studio Client (Development Studio Client) Advanced Edition for iSeries includes all the functions of Rational Application Developer, in addition to advanced i5/OS features such as support for single signon.


Built on Eclipse 3.2.1, an extensible platform for constructing and integrating software development tools, WebSphere Development Studio Client Advanced Edition for iSeries includes Rational Application Developer and is part of the Rational Software Development Platform series of products.

WebSphere Development Studio Client Advanced Edition for iSeries, Version 7.0 contains new features and enhancements and fixes to Version 6.x releases.

3.0 Known limitations, problems, and workarounds

Updates, limitations, and known problems about WebSphere Development Studio Client Advanced Edition for iSeries, Version 7.0, are documented in the form of technotes on the IBM Support Web site http://www.ibm.com/software/awdtools/wdt400/support.

As limitations and problems are discovered and resolved, the IBM Software Support team updates the knowledge base.
