CCL4687E

Partner LU name Name is not defined

Explanation

The partner LU name specified by the 'NETNAME' parameter in the configuration file is not valid. If the value of the 'PARTNERLUALIAS' parameter is 'Y', then the partner LU name is an alias that is not valid. If the value of the 'PARTNERLUALIAS' parameter is 'N', then the fully qualified partner LU name is not valid. If 'PARTNERLUALIAS' parameter is not defined the default value varies, on UNIX and Linux systems the default is 'Y', on Windows systems the default is 'N'.

System action

The connection to the server is not started.

User response

Check that the partner LU name specified by the 'NETNAME' parameter is correct. LU names are case sensitive. If necessary update your configuration file and retry. If using a partner LU alias name, check that the partner LU alias is defined in your SNA communications product. If the configuration is correct, refer to the SNA communications product for help on resolving connectivity problems.
