Initial transaction

The INITIALTRANSID parameter specifies the initial transaction identifier of the transaction that is run when the terminal emulator connects to the server.

INITIALTRANSID=<name>
Description
Set the value to the name of initial transaction identifier. The name must be 1 - 128 characters long and is case-sensitive. The first four characters, or the characters before the first blank space in the string, are taken as the transaction identifier. The remaining characters are passed to the transaction when the transaction is invoked. The transaction must not require terminal input.

This parameter is in the SERVER section of the configuration file.

Default value
There is no default value for this parameter.
Configuration Tool
In the Configuration Tool, you can set the value of INITIALTRANSID in the Initial transation field in the Server connection page. This page can be accessed by selecting an existing server in the CICS Servers section of the CICS Transaction Gateway pane or by creating a server definition. To create a server definition, click Options > New Server or click the New Server icon.
