A menu is a list of related topics from which you can select an item.
Items can be optionally organized into groups. For an example of a menu see Figure 6, which shows the Web User Interface main menu. This is the default menu displayed after successfully logging on to the Web User Interface. You can get back to it by selecting Home on the navigation frame.
A menu has several components:
This is displayed at the top of the page and is the title of the menu. This area includes a link to the customizable view and menu help, if available.
This area is always present.
This area displays messages and contains a link to the explanation of the message being displayed.
This area appears automatically as required.
This area allows you to set the context and scope to be used when you navigate from the current menu.
This area appears automatically, as applicable, but the contents may be customized.
If defined, this area may contain instructions on how to use the menu and comments explaining the menu.
Group titles can be used to organize the choices in a menu into separate groups.

These are links to views of data, possibly setting specific selection criteria.
These are links to pages served by an external web server (the contents of which are displayed in a separate browser window).
