The message handlers are defined in an XML document, which is stored
in the HFS. The name of the file that contains the document is specified in
the CFGFILE attribute of a PIPELINE definition.
The root element of the pipeline configuration document
is the
<provider_pipeline> element. The high-level structure
of the document is shown in
Figure 1.

The following elements are
used only in the pipeline configuration for a service provider:
- <named_transport_entry>
- <terminal_handler>
Other elements are common to a service provider and a service requester.
