Appendix B. A summary of the CICSPlex SM display commands

This appendix lists all of the CICSPlex® SM display commands. For each display command it provides the command name, a brief description of its function, and a reference to additional information.

Turns on the automatic screen update (ASU) facility for all open windows.
CLEar
Clears the contents of a window.
CLOse
Closes a window and reassigns its space to neighboring windows.
CONtext
Changes the context of a window.
DATARefresh
Updates the contents of a view in a specific window using the parameter values associated with the command that produced the view.
Down
Scrolls the data within a window toward the bottom.
END
Redisplays, in reverse order, a maximum of 10 previously issued views and a maximum of 20 alternate forms of each of those views.
Exits one level of nested help.
Reduces expanded window; redisplays last window configuration.
Closes a window and ends a CICSPlex SM session.
ENDQ
Redisplays, in reverse order, the last form of a maximum of 10 previously issued views.
HELp
Displays information about CICSPlex SM, panels, views, fields, and messages.
HSplit
Splits a window horizontally to open a new window.
LEft
Scrolls the data in a window to the left.
Locate
Locates a data string within a specified column of a view.
LOCK
Prevents the contents of a window from being updated.
MAXimize
Expands a window to fill the display area.
NEXt
Sets the next sequential window as the current window.
PARm
Updates the contents of a view in a specific window by changing the parameter values associated with the command that produced the view. Query data is refreshed.
PREVious
Sets the previous sequential window as the current window.
Quit
Closes all open windows and displays the CICSPlex System Manager entry panel.
Exits from help, regardless of the nesting levels.
RESet
Closes all open windows except window 1 and clears the contents of window 1.
RESTore
Reduces an expanded window to redisplay all open windows in their previous configuration.
RIght
Scrolls the data in a window to the right.
SAVEScr
Saves a new screen configuration, or replaces an existing screen configuration.
SCOpe
Changes the scope of a window.
SCReen
Activates a specific screen configuration.
SCREENS
Displays a view from which you can select or delete a screen configuration.
SET
Changes the context, product, server, scope, and view associated with an open window.
SETD
Sets the context, product, and scope to be associated with all subsequently opened or cleared windows.
SHOWPosi
Displays information about a view, such as the number of records it contains and the number of records currently displayed.
SOrt
Rearranges the rows within a general view (in ascending or descending order) based on the contents of a field within that view.
STATus
Displays an explanation of the window status codes.
SUM
Displays summary information about the contents of a column in a general or summary view.
UNLOck
Allows the contents of a previously locked window to be updated.
UP
Scrolls the data in a window toward the top.
VSplit
Splits a window vertically to open a new window.
Wn
Makes the window identified by n the current window.
Directs the results of the command to which it is prefixed--as in
Wn.LEFT--to the window identified by n.
