The directories under this section of the FTP site contain Fixpacks for 
Content Manager for Multiplatforms on the AIX and Windows platforms. 

Fixpacks are issued from time to time in between the issuance of formal 
Corrective Service Disks (CSD), and are meant to be used only by customers 
who have an urgent need for one of the fixes included in the Fixpack, but 
who cannot wait until a CSD is issued.  

The major difference between a Fixpack and a CSD, is that

FIXPACKS ARE NOT TESTED AS THOROUGHLY AS CSDs!!!

Therefore, it is not recommended that customers install Fixpacks unless
instructed to by IBM Software Service, or there is an APAR fix in a
Fixpack that is clearly identified as resolving an existing problem.
