ITCAM for SOA Event Handler for WSRR SupportPac (sa04) ------------------------------------------------------ Licensing --------- For terms and conditions of the license associated with this SupportPac, please see the license files contained in the license directory in the SupportPac download zip file. Prerequisite software ---------------------- This supportPac provides an Event Handler for events emitted from ITCAM for SOA. The Event Handler works on systems that are installed with WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR) v6.0.0.1 or WSRR v6.0.2 Please ensure you have WSRR 6.0.2 before proceeding. If installing the Event Handler onto a server without WSRR, note that the prerequisites are the same. Installation Instructions ------------------------- The Event Handler is supplied as an Enterprise Archive or EAR file and is found in sa04_v6.0.2.zip/tgz. This should be extracted to a temporary location and installed into a chosen installation of WebSphere Application Server in the usual manner. See the WebSphere Application Server InfoCenter for more details on how to do this. Configuration of the ITCAM for SOA Event Handler is performed via a web user interface. The URL for this is http://:/ITCAMWeb/admin, for example http://myserver:9080/ITCAMWeb/admin. For more details of how to do this see the sa04 Event Handler User Guide. If you are using Tivoli Enterprise Console or Netcool/OMNIbus, you should also extract the required zip file from within the downloaded sa04_v6.0.2.zip/tgz. This .zip file contains configuration files and scripts that must be installed on the event server/OMNIbus server. See the Event Handler User Guide for more details. Troubleshooting --------------- Trace can be enabled for the Event Handler's EIF adapter through the Event Handler's Web UI, see User Guide for more details. Trace of the Event Handler itself is configured through the WebSphere Application Server Web Admin Console, again more details are given in the User Guide. If security is enabled on the WSRR, ensure that the Event Handler has been given the correct URL for the Web Service endpoint (including use of https://), the correct username and password is entered and the required trust store and key store are specified. If the WSRR has security enabled, ensure appropriate certificates are available to the Event Handler.
