What the Getting Started wizard does
Problems running the Getting Started wizard?
Before you can run the Getting Started wizard, you must do one of
the following:
- Create the WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers security groups
using the Security Groups wizard. To run the Security Groups wizard, click
Start > Programs > IBM WebSphere Business Integration Message
Brokers > Security Wizard.
- Manually create the WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers security
groups and added your username to the groups. For more information, see Planning
for security when you install WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker
When you run the Getting Started wizard, be aware of the following issues:
- To run the Getting Started wizard your Windows user account must have the
privilege to "Act as part of the operating system". If your user
account does not have this privilege, when you run the Getting Started wizard,
a message is displayed asking you if you want to add this privilege to your
account. Click Yes and reboot the machine to permanently
add this privilege to your account.
-
The wizard accepts only local usernames in the Existing Account field.
It does not accept domain usernames.
- Before the wizard creates the databases, it checks whether the databases
already exist. If the wizard finds that the databases do exist, it displays
a message:
Tables used by the broker in this database will be re-created. Are
you sure you wish to use this database?
If you click Yes, the wizard deletes the existing tables,
including any data in them, and creates the new tables. If you click No,
the wizard displays the page where you can specify a new name for the database.
- To view errors generated by the Getting Started wizard see the Error Log:
Click Window > Show View > Other... > PDE Runtime > Error
Log. To view the details of the error, in the Error Log, double-click
the error, then in the Properties window that opens, click Status Details.
See also the Windows Event Viewer: Click Start > Settings >
Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer. In the
Event Viewer, click Application.
