To install the WebSphere MQ client on a Linux(R) system, use WebSphere MQ Client CD 3, which is supplied with WebSphere MQ, and follow the instructions in WebSphere MQ for Linux, V6.0 Quick Beginnings.
If you plan to install the WebSphere MQ client and on the same machine as the WebSphere MQ server, see Installing WebSphere MQ clients on the same machine as the server.
To install the extended transactional client on Linux, you must first install the WebSphere MQ base client. As a minimum, you must install the runtime, client, and client for Java(TM) components of the WebSphere MQ base client.
