Conventions used in this book
- z/OS means any release of z/OS or OS/390(R) that supports the current version of WebSphere MQ.
- Throughout this
book, the term object refers to any WebSphere MQ queue manager,
queue, namelist, channel, storage class, process, authentication information
or CF structure.
- The examples in this book
are taken from a queue manager with a command prefix string (CPF) of +CSQ1.
The commands are shown in UPPERCASE.
- CICS(R) means both CICS Transaction Server for OS/390 (z/OS) and CICS for MVS/ESA(TM) unless otherwise stated. IMS means IMS/ESA(R) unless otherwise stated.
- Throughout this
book, the default value thlqual is used to indicate the target
library high-level qualifier for WebSphere MQ data sets in your installation.
- Throughout this book, the term distributed queuing refers to the distributed queuing feature (also known as the "non-CICS
mover").
- Only MQSC commands are mentioned in this book. The equivalent
PCF command can be used instead of an MQSC command. See WebSphere MQ Programmable Command Formats and Administration Interface for
details of PCF commands.
