An orderly shutdown of the connection lets each CICS(R) transaction terminate before thread subtasks are detached. When you use this method, there should be no in-doubt units of work when you reconnect CICS. An orderly termination occurs in each of the following situations:
CEMT PERFORM SHUTDOWN

+CSQ1 STOP QMGR MODE(QUIESCE)
This stops the queue manager, allows the currently identified tasks to continue normal processing, and does not allow new tasks to identify themselves to the queue manager. CICS remains active.
