Knowing the conventions used in this book will help you to use
it more efficiently.
- The term WebSphere® MQ
is used to mean the IBM® WebSphere MQ for Windows® product.
- The term Windows is used to mean the Microsoft® Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP,
and Microsoft Windows 2003
products.
- The terms click, double-click, and right-click are used to describe item
selection with the mouse. For keyboard alternatives, refer to the Windows help.
- The term enter means type the relevant text or command, then press the
Enter key.
- Boldface type indicates the name of an item you need to select
or the name of a command.
- Italics type indicates new terms, book titles, or variable information
that must be replaced by an actual value.
- Monospace type indicates an example (such as a fictitious
path or file name) or text that is displayed on the screen.
