This topic demonstrates how to specify the database to use as
the source for the mapping.
- From the Message Mapping editor Spreadsheet
pane, select an item. The item that you select determines the
scope of the $db:select entry that is created by the action. For
example, you can select $target, an element, an attribute, a For condition,
or another $db:select entry. The Select database
as mapping source dialog box opens.
- Right-click and click Select data source.
- From the Select Database as mapping source page,
select a database (for example, AIRLINEDB)
and click Finish. The Message Mapping editor adds
the sources of the database table (for example, the XREF table)
to the tree in the Message Mapping
editor Source pane.
You have now added the data source to the Message Mapping
editor Source pane.
