Configuring TDS properties: Message sets

This task topic describes how to use the Message Set editor to configure the TDS physical format properties of a message set.

To configure the TDS physical format properties of a message set, do the following:

  1. Switch to the Broker Application Development perspective.
  2. In the Message Set editor, the Physical properties node of the Properties Hierarchy shows the name of each of the physical formats that have been added to the message set. If the physical format names are not in view, expand Physical properties by clicking +.
  3. Click the TDS format under Physical properties so that the properties of this format appear in the Details view of the Message Set editor.
    Tip: Physical formats can have any name but by default the TDS physical format is called TDS1.
  4. Configure the TDS properties shown in the Details view according to your requirements.
  5. Save your changes either by clicking File > Save messageSet.mset or by pressing Ctrl+S. Alternatively click File > Save All or press Ctrl+Shift+S.
