The parameters and response data for z/OS commands are provided with similar PCF support to equivalent script (MQSC) command parameters. In some cases however, there are differences in the permissible values for a parameter, and differences in default values.
The maximum length of a message that you can put onto a shared queue has been increased to 100 MB. A new CFLEVEL(4) has been introduced to support this function.
If you are using queue-sharing groups and the administration structure fails, the queue managers that are active in the queue-sharing group no longer terminate. Instead, work is suspended, the structure is automatically reallocated and rebuilt, and then the work continues.
Page set expansion has been improved. A page set is expanded before it becomes full, and the expansion is performed asynchronously from the MQPUT command. The new secondary extent of the page set increases in line with the size of the page set. Users also have more control over page set expansion.
A new event queue SYSTEM.ADMIN.COMMAND.EVENT has been introduced, to which messages are written when commands are issued.
The Application Messaging Interface (AMI) is no longer part of the main WebSphere MQ for z/OS product. It is now available as the "MA0F MQSeries Application Messaging Interface" SupportPac.
Distributed queuing with CICS, also known as the CICS Mover, is no longer supported.
The Internet Gateway is no longer supported.
The IUCV and SNSTCPACCESS communications interfaces are no longer supported.
