There are three different ways to add a database table to your
source mapping:
If you want to map from a database only, then the database
must be specified in the New Message Map wizard.- Create a new message map file using the New Message
Map wizard.
- Select database records as the message source.
- Select your database from the database definitions that are
in your Message Brokers Toolkit workspace.

In an existing message map, a database can be added as
a source using Select Data Source- Select the location to add a database table source to your mapping
in the Spreadsheet pane. For example, select $target.
- Click . Alternatively, right-click
in the Spreadsheet pane and click Select Data Source. The Select Database As Mapping Source wizard
opens.
- Select your database from the database definitions that are
in your Message Brokers Toolkit workspace.

- Alternatively, in an existing message map a database can be added
as a source using Add Sources and Targets.
- From the Message Mapping editor,
click . Alternatively, right-click in the Source, Target,
or Spreadsheet pane and click Add Sources and Targets. The Add Sources and Targets wizard opens.
- Select database records as the message source.
- Select databases from the database definitions that are in your Message Brokers Toolkit workspace.
When the database has been added to the source:
- The Source pane contains a $db:select entry.
- The Spreadsheet pane contains a $db:select entry.
You cannot add a database table to the Target pane of a Mapping node or an Extract
node.
