Use this task to stop a selected mediation at a mediation point.
Before you can operate a mediation, it must be associated with a destination.
For more information, see
Mediating a destination.
All run time operations are carried out for a specific
mediation point.
Stopping a mediation at a
mediation point prevents
messages from being delivered to the
mediation point. When
a mediated destination (a
bus destination that
has been mediated and for which a mediation point has been created) is in
this state, messages are not mediated, and are not made available to consuming
applications. Any messages sent to the destination are held on the pre-mediated
part of the destination until the mediation is restarted.
To stop a selected
mediation, use the administrative console to complete the following steps:
- Display the mediation you want to stop:
- In the navigation pane, click
- In the content pane, click
the name of the service integration bus.
- Under Additional Properties, click Messaging
Engines.
- Click the messaging engine name.
- Under Additional Properties, click Mediation
Points.
- In the content pane, select
the mediation name.
- Click Stop.
The mediation is stopped at the mediation point.
Messages arriving at the mediation point are
not processed by the mediation. The messages are stored at the mediation point until
the mediation is restarted.
