Messages

This reference section provides additional information about WebSphere ESB messages that you might encounter while using the product. It is organized according to the identifier of the product feature that produces the message.

This topic provides only message prefix information added for the WebSphere ESB functions.

For information about other message prefixes for functions provided by WebSphere Process Server and WebSphere Application Server, see the following topics:

To see detailed reference information about the messages for WebSphere ESB, WebSphere Process Server, and WebSphere Application Server, see the list of message topics in the information center table of contents. To open the information center table of contents to the location of this message reference information, click the Show in Table of Contents button (Information center navigation synchronization feature) on the border of your information center.

Message codes for WebSphere ESB all use the prefix "CWSXM", followed by a four-digit number. The first digit of this number identifies the broad area owning the message. The following ranges are currently in use:
Message code Functional area
CWSXM0000 - CWSXM0999 Mediation Runtime
CWSXM1000 - CWSXM1999 Mediation Flow Engine
CWSXM2000 - CWSXM2999 Service message objects (SMO)
CWSXM3000 - CWSXM3999 Mediation primitive. The code range 3000-3999 for primitives is further subdivided to give a range for each primitive:
  • CWSXM3000 - CWSXM3099: Generic (for messages reused across all primitives)
  • CWSXM3100 - CWSXM3149: XSLT
  • CWSXM3150 - CWSXM3199; MessageLogger
  • CWSXM3200 - CWSXM3249: DatabaseLookup
  • CWSXM3250 - CWSXM3299: MessageFilter
  • CWSXM3300 - CWSXM3349: Fail
  • CWSXM3350 - CWSXM3399: Stop
