Starting or stopping the WebSphere ESB server

Before you can use WebSphere ESB, you must start the WebSphere ESB server process.

Why and when to perform this task

For a stand-alone server profile, you start that one server. For a deployment manager cell, you start the deployment manager.

You can start the WebSphere ESB server process in a variety of ways, including from the Windows Start menu and from the First steps console.
