Administering topic roles

Use these tasks to administer the authorization permissions for topics.

By default, a role defined on a parent topic contains permissions for the parent topic itself, and also for its children, which therefore inherit the parent topic's role membership. These tasks allow you to change the default permissions by introducing or removing additional levels of permissions at the appropriate points within the hierarchy of topics in a particular topic space. You can also allow or block inheritance at the topic level, which determines whether or not a topic inherits Sender or Receiver permissions from its parent.

Note: Topics are created at run-time and then only exist as long as they are active, but you can create authorizations for a topic even though it does not exist at the moment.
