Use the Stop mediation primitive to stop a path in the flow, without generating an exception.
The Stop mediation primitive stops a particular path in the flow.
The Stop mediation primitive has one input terminal and no output terminals. The input terminal is wired to accept a message, which is terminated without generating any exception information.
The Stop mediation primitive is used to terminate paths through a mediation module.
You can use the Stop mediation primitive to consume exceptions silently. If another mediation primitive's fault terminal is wired to a Stop mediation primitive, then any messages that go to the fault terminal are consumed. This has the same effect as an empty catch block in Java.
You can also use the Stop mediation primitive to suppress warnings generated by WebSphere Integration Developer. If the output terminal of another mediation primitive is left unwired, then WebSphere Integration Developer generates a warning. However, if you wire the output terminal to the Stop mediation primitive then warnings are suppressed. Leaving an output terminal unwired is the same as wiring it to a Stop mediation primitive, except for the generation of a warning. Using the Stop mediation primitive also indicates, explicitly, that this is the termination of a flow path.
The Stop mediation primitive has no properties.
