SCA Modules collection

Lists installed Service Component Architecture (SCA) modules and their associated applications. SCA modules encapsulate services, so you can make changes to services without impacting users of the service. To use the SCA module services you start the associated application..

In the administrative console, to view this page click Applications > SCA Modules.

To browse or change the properties of a listed item, select its name in the list.

To act on one or more of the listed items, select the check boxes next to the names of the items that you want to act on, then use the buttons provided.

To change what entries are listed, or to change what information is shown for entries in the list, use the Filter settings.

The check boxes are for the application associated with each SCA module. To start an SCA module, you start the associated application.

General properties

Module
The name of the SCA module.
Application
The name of the enterprise application.
Status
Current execution state of the application.
Started Started Application is running.
Partial Start Partial Start Application is in the process of changing from a Stopped state to a Started state. Application is starting to run, but is not yet fully running.
Stopped Stopped Application is not running.
Partial Stop Partial Stop Application is in the process of changing from a Started state to a Stopped state. Application has not stopped running yet.
Unavailable Unavailable Status cannot be determined. An application with an unavailable status might be running, but have an unavailable status because the server running the administrative console cannot communicate with the server running the application.
Unknown Not applicable Application does not provide information about whether or not it is running.

Buttons

Start Click this button to start the application for the selected SCA module. This makes the services of the module available to requesters.
Stop Click this button to stop the application for the selected SCA module. This makes the services of the module unavailable to requesters.
