Creating a new JMS connection factory through the command line

Use this command to create a new JMS connection factory for the default messaging provider at a specific scope.

Before you begin

The command described in this topic is run using the AdminTask object of the wsadmin scripting client.

This command is only valid when run against WebSphere Application Server Version 6 application servers. Do not run it against earlier versions.

Command-line help is provided with each of the service integration technologies commands:
  • For a list of all the available service integration bus JMS commands, plus a brief description of each command, type the following command:
    wsadmin> $AdminTask help SIBJMSAdminCommands
  • For detailed help on a given command, enter the following command:
    wsadmin> $AdminTask help command_name

Purpose

This command creates a new JMS connection factoryat a specific scope.

Command name
createSIBJMSConnectionFactory
Target
Scope of the default messaging provider at which the JMS connection factory is to be created.
Result
A JMS connection factory.

To save the changes made by the command, invoke the "save" command on the AdminConfig object.

The type parameter is used to specify the type of connection factory to create. To create a queue connection factory, set this to Queue. To create a topic connection factory, set this parameter to Topic. Leave this parameter unset to create a generic connection factory.
