This topic describes how to delete a WebSphere MQ link from a messaging
engine on a service integration bus.
Before
you start you need to:
- Know the name of the WebSphere MQ link that
you intend to delete.
- Ensure that no application is putting messages to the foreign bus serviced
by the link.
- Check that there are no indoubt messages on the link. If an attempt is
made to delete a WebSphere MQ link while
there are persistent messages on the service integration bus associated with
a sender channel, the messages are moved to an exception destination.
- Consider informing the WebSphere MQ administrator that the WebSphere MQ link is
about to be deleted and therefore no longer paired with its WebSphere MQ gateway
queue manager or message broker in the WebSphere MQ network.
To delete a
WebSphere MQ link,
use the administrative console to complete the following steps:
- In the navigation pane, click bus_name engine_name
- Select the check box next to the WebSphere MQ link you
intend to delete.
- In the Stop mode list click on Quiesce or
Force, then click Stop. The WebSphere MQ link cannot
be deleted while it is running.
- When the WebSphere MQ link has
stopped (indicated by the status icon), click Delete.
- Save your changes to the master configuration.
- Restart the application server.
Now you have removed the WebSphere MQ link from
this messaging engine you can define it on a different messaging engine on
the same service integration bus or on another bus, if you wish.
