Creating a message map file from a Mapping node

You can use a Mapping node to create a message map with messages and databases as both sources and targets.

Before creating a message map file, ensure you do the following:
  1. Create a message flow project
  2. Create a message flow
  3. Define message flow content that includes a Mapping node

To create a message map (.msgmap) file from a Mapping node:

  1. Open your message flow from the Broker Application Development perspective.
  2. Right-click your Mapping node and click Open Map. The New Message Map for Mapping Node wizard opens.
  3. Select the combination of Messages, Data Sources or both that you want to use as sources for your map from Select map sources and select the combination of Messages, Data Targets or both that you want to use as targets for your map from Select map targets.

If you cannot find the Messages, Data Sources or Data Targets that you expect, select the Show all resources in workspace check box.

  4. Select OK to create the new message map. The Message Mapping editor opens with the selected sources and targets.
After you have created a message map file, you can now configure the message mappings.
