Authorization

Authorization is the act of verifying that an identity has access to perform or execute a flow.

When configured, authentication and mapping are applied prior to Authorization to verify the identity being authorized.

Diagram showing identity authorization.

Authorization is applied to the mapped identity if present, otherwise the source identity is used.

If you want to use LDAP for authorization, the LDAP server must be LDAP V3.
