Deploy your MQe message flows after you have migrated them from Version 5.0 to Version 6.1.
This topic describes one in a sequence of migration tasks; complete these tasks in the order shown:
The following table describes the options that you have when you deploy a message flow that contains MQeInput and MQeOutput nodes.
Deploy from | Deploy to | Result |
---|---|---|
Version 5.0 | Version 5.0 | Works as before |
Version 5.0 | Version 6.1 | Not supported. You must import your existing message flow into the Message Broker Toolkit Version 6.1 and deploy from there.1 |
Version 6.1 | Version 5.0 | Works as before.2 |
Version 6.1 | Version 6.1 | Works when you set up an MQe gateway that you have configured appropriately. When the broker receives the bar file, the MQeInput and MQeOutput nodes in the message flow are converted into MQInput and MQOutput nodes that are re-configured as described below. |
The following list describes what happens to all the MQe node properties when the node is converted into an MQ node. (For a summary of the key properties, see Configuring after MQe message flow deployment).
MQeInput and MQeOutput node properties panels | Converted MQ node properties |
---|---|
General panel properties
|
All discarded except:
Do your tracing in the normal way for WebSphere Message Broker, as described in Using trace. When this flow is traced, the MQ nodes are seen, not the MQe nodes in the message flow in the deployed bar file that have been converted. |
Registry panel properties
|
All discarded These properties concern MQe registry and security, and you configure these characteristics on your MQe gateway. |
Listener panel properties
|
All discarded You configure these properties on your MQe gateway and your broker queue manager. |
To use such a deployment, create a suitable configuration on the broker queue manager for the converted nodes to work, as described in the next topic, Configuring after MQe message flow deployment.
