Optional software support

The products listed here are not required, but might be useful. Except where stated, these products are not supplied with WebSphere Message Broker.

WebSphere MQ Everyplace

WebSphere MQ Everyplace® supports messaging to, from, and between pervasive devices, including handheld devices such as mobile phones and PDAs.

WebSphere MQ Everyplace Version 2.0.2.0 is supplied with WebSphere Message Broker.

Tivoli License Manager

To monitor the use of software products including WebSphere Message Broker, install IBM Tivoli® License Manager Version 2.1.

Java
Version 5 (also known as Java 1.5) SR3 is supported on all operating systems. An SDK is included on distributed systems, and is installed in the install_dir\jre15 directory for Version 5 SR3. On z/OS, you must install your required level of JRE. For further details, see Additional software requirements.

Adobe Flash Player

If you want to launch the Quick Tour from the information center in the Message Broker Toolkit, you must install Adobe Flash Player Version 6.0 or later. You can freely download from the Adobe Web site an Adobe Flash Player plug-in for the Web browsers that are supported by the Message Broker Toolkit.
