Use the New Database Definition
Files wizard to add database definitions to the Message Broker Toolkit.
You
must have database definition files in the Message Broker Toolkit to
create database mappings. Database definition files are also used by other
nodes such as the Compute node to validate references to database sources
and tables. The following steps describe how to add database definition files
to the Message Broker Toolkit:
Database definition files in the
Message Broker Toolkit are
not automatically updated. If a change is made to your database you must update
the database definition files. To update your database definition files:
- Open the Data perspective.
- In the Database Explorer view, right-click on the database connection
that you want to update and click Reconnect.
- To change the database connection settings right-click on the database
connection and click Edit Connection and follow the
instructions in the Edit Database Connection wizard.
- To update or add a new table or other database object, right-click on
the object and click Copy to Project. Select the message
flow project with the database definition files to update.
