If you have successfully run a WebSphere® Message
Broker component, determine
whether your problem is caused by incorrect installation and setup, or a different
cause. If it has not run successfully before, work through the information
to determine what is preventing successful operation.
Complete the following steps:
- Check your setup
You might have failed to
set up WebSphere Message
Broker correctly.

On Linux® and UNIX® operating
systems, check that you have set up the command environment correctly; see Setting up a command environment for more information.
- Verify the installation
Check the Installation Guide for
information about how you can verify a basic configuration on your system.
On Linux on x86 and Windows®,
you can use the Default Configuration wizard and the Samples Preparation wizard
to help you with basic configuration and verification.
