The panel described in this topic allows you to select the structures to import reference material.
COBOL file
When you choose to create
a new message definition file from an existing COBOL file, you are presented
with the following panels:
Panel properties
- Source structures
- This field lists the structures that are in the COBOL file that are available to import into the message definition file that you want to create. Use this field to select the structures that you want to import and click > to move them into the Imported structures field.
Click >> to move all of the listed structures into the Imported structures field.
- Imported structures
- This field lists the structures that you selected from the Source structures field.
Select the structures in the list that you want to create as messages in the message definition file.
Click < to remove the selected structures from the list, or click << to remove all of the structures from the list.
- Prefix for imported structure names (optional)
- A prefix can be added to the names of the imported global complex types and groups created during the import. Adding a prefix prevents the duplication of names.
