Starting and stopping the User Name Server on Linux and UNIX systems
- Run '. <install_dir>/bin/mqsiprofile' to source
the mqsiprofile script and set up the environment for a single
targeted runtime. You must do this before you can run any of the WebSphere® Message
Broker commands.
- To start a User Name Server enter the following
command on the command line:
mqsistart UserNameServer
The User Name Server and its associated
queue manager are started. Check the syslog to ensure that the User Name Server has
initialized successfully. If errors have been reported, review the messages
and take the suggested actions to resolve these problems.
- To stop a User Name Server enter the following
command on the command line:
mqsistop UserNameServer
You
can also request that the User Name Server's queue
manager is stopped by this command. Refer to Stopping a WebSphere MQ queue manager when you stop a component.
