Net.Commerce now provides support for personalization, a means of serving your customer better than ever before. By monitoring your customers' behaviour, we can make recommendations on products which are most likely to interest them.

More than just surveys...

It's easy to get to know your customers, isn't it? Just ask! Frequently, Web-based stores often use questionnaires and surveys to gather information about their customers. Response rates, however, are generally quite low, so merchants need more tools at their disposal. Net.Commerce can now incorporate collaborative filtering technology developed by Net Perceptions to go far beyond surveys. This technology, called Net Perceptions for E-Commerce monitors shopping habits such as:
  • items your customers place in their shopping cart, even if they don't buy them
  • items your customers browse most often
Net Perceptions for E-Commerce uses this information to indicate customer preferences withno extra effort on the part of the customer! You will get to know your customers even if they never tell you a thing.

Virtual word of mouth...

People often recommend products to their friends. For the most part, people with similar tastes and interests tend to agree on the way they feel about a given item. But what if your customers don't know each other? Net Perceptions for E-Commerce can identify which of your customers think alike and pool their shopping preferences to help recommend products to other like-minded customers. It's as though they had been giving feedback to each other all along.
