Uninstalling Presence Server from the WebSphere Application Server console

Follow these steps to uninstall Presence Server from the WebSphere® Application Server administrative console.

  1. Open the WebSphere Application Server administrative console on the deployment manager.
  2. Uninstall the Presence Server application:
    1. In the navigation panel, click Applications > Enterprise Application.
    2. Select Presence Server.
    3. Click Uninstall.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Save.
  3. Remove the Presence Server data source. Depending on your environment, this can refer to a DB2® data source, an Oracle data source, or a combination of the two.
    1. In the navigation panel, click Resources > JDBC > Data Sources.
    2. Select WPS DB DataSource.
    3. Click Delete.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Save.
  4. Remove the authentication definition for the Presence Server data source. Depending on your environment, the alias can refer to a DB2 data source, an Oracle data source, or a combination of the two.
    1. In the navigation panel, click Security > Secure Administration, Applications, and infrastructure > Java Authentication and Authorization service > J2C Authentication Data.
    2. Select the database alias (database_alias) and remove it.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Click Save.
  5. Remove the Usage Records data source. Depending on your environment, this can refer to a DB2 data source, an Oracle data source, or a combination of the two.
    1. In the navigation panel, click Resources > JDBC > Data Sources.
    2. Select WPSUR DataSource.
    3. Click Delete.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Save.
  6. Remove the authentication definition for the Usage Records data source. Depending on your environment, the alias can refer to a DB2 data source, an Oracle data source, or a combination of the two.
    1. In the navigation panel, click Security > Secure Administration, Applications, and infrastructure > Java Authentication and Authorization service > J2C Authentication Data.
    2. Select the database alias (usageRecords_alias) and remove it.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Click Save.
  7. DB2 Remove definitions for the DB2 database variables:
    1. In the navigation panel, click Environment > WebSphere Variables.
    2. Select the node scope and remove the values for DB2UNIVERSAL_JDBC_DRIVER_PATH and DB2UNIVERSAL_JDBC_DRIVER_NATIVEPATH. Repeat this operation for each Presence Server node.
    3. Select the cluster scope and remove the values for DB2UNIVERSAL_JDBC_DRIVER_PATH and DB2UNIVERSAL_JDBC_DRIVER_NATIVEPATH.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Save.
  8. Oracle Remove definitions for the Oracle database variables:
    1. In the navigation panel, click Environment > WebSphere Variables.
    2. Select the node scope and remove the values for ORACLE_JDBC_DRIVER_PATH and ORACLE_JDBC_DRIVER_NATIVEPATH. Repeat this operation for each Presence Server node.
    3. Select the cluster scope and remove the values for ORACLE_JDBC_DRIVER_PATH and ORACLE_JDBC_DRIVER_NATIVEPATH.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Save.
  9. Remove the Java Messaging Service (JMS) service integration bus:
    1. In the navigation panel, click Service integration > Buses.
    2. Select PS_bus.
    3. Click Delete.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Save.
  10. Remove the JMS Topic:
    1. In the navigation panel, click Resources > JMS > Topics.
    2. Select PresencePublishT.
    3. Click Delete.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Save.
  11. Remove the JMS Topic connection factory:
    1. In the navigation panel, click Resources > JMS > Topic connection factories.
    2. Select PresenceTCF.
    3. Click Delete.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Save.
  12. Remove the JMS activation specifications:
    1. In the navigation panel, click Resources > JMS > Activation specifications.
    2. Select TAS.
    3. Click Delete.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Save.
