The adminSupportEndPoint Element

The adminSupportEndPoint value is the endpoint that the Notification Management administrative service may use to forcibly terminate a live notification. The service must expose an implementation of the NotificationAdministrationSupport interface at the endpoint it provides.

A nill adminSupportEndPoint indicates that the service does not implement the NotificationAdministrationSupport interface and thereforce cannot support administrative notification termination.

Though not enforced by Notification Management, in most cases adminSupportEndPoint value should be an absolute HTTP URL. For correct operation, any client-provided hostname must be resolvable. Any client-provided internet protocol address or resolved hostname must be routable.

When used with stateful WebSphere-based Web Services, it is expected to contain appropriate session information encoded within it. Successful administrative notification termination requires that the Notification Management component can resolve this URL and directly contact the endpoint.

Leading and trailing white space must be ignored. Internal white space characters must be coerced to spaces. Sequences of two or more spaces must be condensed into a single space. Case distinctions must be maintained for comparison purposes.

If a client provides a longer URL than an implementation can process, the implementation must reject the request containing the URL.
