Patch 200106271-0 - Rational Apex Embedded for All Runtimes 4.0 for any UNIX ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To install this patch, download these 3 files and run the install script: install_200106271_0 any.patch.200106271-0.inventory any.patch.200106271-0.tar.Z Description REQUIRED PATCH SERIES IDs: Starting with Apex 4.0.0, Native and Embedded patches have a SeriesID associated with them. Specifying a SeriesID as a prerequisite for installation as opposed to a PatchID prevents prerequisites from becoming obsolete as new patches are created. SeriesIDs are text strings -- eg runtimes, views, etc -- and are listed next to the PatchIDs at ftp://ftp.rational.com/patch_info/index.html Before installing this patch, you must install a patch from the following product-series: Apex Native: series sun4_solaris2 [patchID 20010710 or later]. ---------------------------------------------------------- It is suggested that all users install this patch. ---------------------------------------------------------- This patch fixes the following: Defect PEBU00007570: The New Source Release dialog (File:New:New Source Release menu selection) appends /ada/model.ss to the value entered in the Destionation Base field to create a model pathname. The documentation for this dialog says that /model.ss is appended, leaving out the /ada subdirectory. Enhancement #1: This patch adds documentation for the PowerPC AltiVec. Enhancement #2: Release notes for the Rational Apex Embedded, 4.0.0B, SPARC Sorasirs to PowerPC Family for LynxOS product have been corrected to let the user know that they must obtain a LynxOS patch that addresses LynxOS Reference Numbers 16705 and 16727 from LynuxWorks. In particular, they should obtain such a patch before installing Rational's patch 200107101-1. ---------------------------------------------------------- The following was fixed in an earlier patch. The fix is included in this patch as well. Defect PEBU00007344: The File:Run, File:Debug, File:Download, and Tools:Targets dialogs are really just different tabs in the same dialog. You can switch from one tab to another (eg from Run to Debug) but if you then clicked the Help button, you would get the help page for the original tab (eg Run). ---------------------------------------------------------- It is suggested that all users install this patch.
