Switches for Generation of View Names (Apex/Summit)Name-generation switches come in pairs. One switch specifies a pattern that is used to generate the name. The other switch specifies the value of the "<levels>" symbol that can occur in the name pattern.
Name Switches
The name pattern may contain the special symbols (such as "<subsystem>") that are listed below as well as directory names (directories are created as necessary). The name switches can use the following template names:
Levels Switches
Each levels switch contains a sequence of numbers and separator characters. During name generation, the Level option determines which number is incremented; all numbers to the right of the incremented number are set to zero. Levels are numbered from right to left, and the rightmost number is always considered as level 1. For example, if your current level is 1.4.5.7 and your Level option is 2, your new name has a level of 1.4.6.0.
These switches for automatic view-name generation are used by the File > Copy Object (Apex/Summit) command.
Switches are also described in the Programming with Apex.
