Control > Show > Switches (Apex/Summit)

Compile > Architectural Control > Switches (Apex/ClearCase)

The Switches command displays the current switch file in a text-editor window.

If your current context is a subsystem, the command displays the context switches (located in the /Policy/Switches file of the subsystem). For Apex/Summit, if your current context is a view, the associated view switches (located in the /Policy/Switches file of the view) are displayed.

You can edit the switch values in the text-editor window. Select the File > Edit check box to open the file for editing. This button is also located on the button bar of the text- editor window. You need to choose the File > Save command to have the new switch values take effect.

Switch values that are strings are not in quotes. You can have blanks before the switch name, before the colon, and after the colon. If the first non-blank character on a line is an exclamation mark (!) or a pound sign (#), the entire line is considered to be a comment:

If you delete all the switches in the switch file, the defaults are used for all switches.

For Apex/Summit, if you do not specify a model for a new view, the subsystem switch file is used for the new view.

Switches are also described in the Programmer's Guide.
