File > New > New Export SetTo create a new export set, select File > New > New Export Set from the directory file menu. This displays the New Export Set dialog box.
New Export Set Dialog Box Fields:
Export Sets
Export sets are used to restrict the interfaces that are made available to clients. Each export set has a name of the form Exports/simple_name and has an associated directory (with the same name) that contains symbolic links to the exported units. Each view or Rational Subsystem (RSS) has a default export set called all_units, which provides visibility to all units in the view or RSS.
You can create any number of export sets for a view or RSS. Only files listed in an export set are visible to importing views or RSSs.
For Apex/Summit, you can add and delete entries from an export set using the Control > Add Export and Control > Remove Export commands from an Exports window, or by using Control > View Properties (Apex/Summit) selecting the set and clicking Edit Set.
For Apex/ClearCase, you can add and delete entries from an export set using the Add Export and Remove Export buttons from the Exports window displayed when the Compile > Architectural Control > Exports (Apex/ClearCase) command is selected.
To display a list of export sets in a viewer window, use the Control > Show > Exports (Apex/Summit) or Compile > Architectural Control > Exports (Apex/ClearCase) command.
