Rose > C++ > Visualization Summary

The Rose > C++ > Visualization Summary command reports the existing model(s) created for visualizing the current view and the source files associated with the model(s). This command is only available in an Apex directory viewer and if the Rose product is installed.

There are two possible models that can be associated with an Apex view: a visualization model and a closure model. A selection model is the model generated by the last Rose > C++ > Visualize command, and a closure model is the model generated by the last Rose > C++ > Visualize (Closure) command.

To review the summary of the model(s) associated with a view from an Apex directory viewer, click on Rose > C++ > Visualization Summary.

This brings up an Apex suammary window that shows the model file(s) if they exist, and lists all the source files that were used to generate the model file(s), respectively.

One of the visualization model(s) is marked as "Currently Active". This is the default model file to which the user can navigate from a directory viewer or text editor window. The navigation commands include Navigate > Visit Rose C++ from a directory viewer, and Navigate > Visit Rose Diagram and Navigate > Visit Rose Specification from a text editor window. The user can change this default model file by selecting the model filename and clicking on Rose > Set Active Model.

The user can examine the summary, and also navigate from the listed source filename to the file itself by using the Navigate > Visit command. The user can also select the model filename, and click on Rose > Start Rose to display the model in the Rose Window.

On the next page is an example of the output of this command.

This product is described in the Rose Developer User's Guide.
