Preface Rational Apex®, hereafter referred to as Apex, is a comprehensive, integrated programming environment that supports the development of complex software systems. This manual presents the concepts needed to use all of the Apex Shadowing functionality to its fullest extent.
Apex provides support for linking views to directories on a TCP/IP networked PC running Windows NT/95. Linking a view to a directory on a PC is called shadowing the view. Shadowing allows the user to perform development, compilation, and testing on the PC and integrates with Summit/CM to perform configuration management and version control.
