File > DebugThe File > Debug command is used to invoke the debugger. When you invoke this command, the Run/Debug dialog box appears with the Debug page selected. Note that this page is slightly different if invoked from a native or cross view.
The debugger is described in detail in Using the Apex Debugger.
Program Field
Enter the name of a program to execute.
Arguments Field (native, Tornado, LynxOS only)
Enter any arguments to the program.
Context Field
Enter the name of the program directory.
Attach (PID Field) (native only)
Enter the UNIX process id of the executable the debugger is to be attached to.
Debugger Options
Enter any other debugger options here.
Debugger Session
To create another debugger session, select this check box and enter the name of the new session in the area provided. This is the mechanism used to get multiple debuggers operating at the same time.
Environment
Enter name of debugger environment file to use. The environment file contains the environment variables to be used during the current debugger session.
Multi-program debugging
To enable multi-program debugging, select this check box and enter the name of the desired configuration file in the area provided. This configuration file should contain the executables to be debugged. When this check box is selected, the user must specify a configuration file. Multiprogram debugging is described in detail in Using the Apex Debugger.
Collect Trace Data Check Box (embedded only)
Select this check box to collect task execution tracing data for the program. (Not currently available for C/C++)
Autoload Program (embedded only)
To automatically download the program to the target processor, select this button.
