View > Show SourceUsing the View > Show Source command, it is possible to display the Source pane area of the main Debugger Window. Simply select the Show Source option on the View menu in the Debugger window. The Source pane is now displayed.
The debugger's source display is optimized for debugging. It doesn't provide facilities for editing, compilation, or source control, for example. It does provide extra features specifically designed for debugging. For example, it contains source indicators that show the current execuftion position, where breakpoints are set and the line the cursor is currently on.
By default, only the Debugger Command/Log Window and Command Pane are displayed.
It is possible to configure Apex so that the Source pane is displayed by default.
- Set the X resource Rational.Debugger.log*debugSource: to True. Thiw will cause the debugger to operate in Show Source mode by default.
- After selecting the display mode using the View > Show Source command, select the Tools > Session > Save Window Properties to make this mode your default.
If you wish to toggle back to editor mode, deselect the View > Show Source command or select the Visit Editor button.
