Debugger State > SaveThe Debugger State > Save command saves the current debugger state.It is invoked from the File menu. This command uses the Save Debugger State As dialog box.
This dialog box allows you to:
- Save the state in the user-state file
- Save the state in the program-state file
- Save the state in the user-specific program-state file
- Save the state in a named file through a File Name field
- Save the breakpoint settings
- Save the exception settings
- Save the macro definitions
- Save the debugger options
- Save the type display settings
- Save the user-defined debugger variables
The items are saved based on the currently selected debugger options. These options can be viewed and/or modified with the View > Options command.
In the Save Debugger State As section of the dialog box, select one of the following:
- User State to save the debugger state in the user-state file
- Program State to save the debugger state in the program-state file
- User Specific Program State to save the debugger state in the user-specific program-state file
- Named File to save the debugger state in a named file (enter the filename in the Named File field)
Note: You can save the debugger state in any one of the above four places. To save the debugger state in multiple destinations, you need to execute the File > Debugger State > Save command once for each destination.
