View > PreferencesThis command can be invoked from either a ClearCase VOBs viewer window or a ClearCase Views viewer window. Depending on which type of window it is invoked from, the displayed dialog is different. These dialogs are described in the following sections:
ClearCase VOBs Display Options
This dialog is displayed by the View:Preferences command in a ClearCase VOBs viewer window. It is used to control the data displayed for each VOB and to specify which VOBs are displayed.
When OK or Apply is pressed, the specified Field options and Name Filtering are applied to the ClearCase VOBs window.
Fields Tab
This tab contains the following check boxes which select the fields to be displayed for each VOB:
- Apex Indicator
Shows an Apex-enabled indicator for each VOB (the keyword "Apex"). (This has no effect when the "Apex Enabled VOBs" radio button is selected since all VOBs in the window are Apex-enabled in that case.)
- Access
Displays the public/private access flag for each VOB.
- Mounted
Shows whether each VOB is currently mounted.
- Created By User
Shows the id of the user who created each VOB.
- Creation Date
Shows the creation date of each VOB.
- Creation Time
Shows creation time of day for each VOB.
- Machine
Shows the host machine for each VOB.
- Storage Directory
Shows the storage directory pathname for each VOB.
- Comment
Name Filtering Tab
This tab contains filename pattern filters for VOBs that appear in the ClearCase VOBs window. Separate filters are provided for the Apex-enabled VOBs display and the All VOBs display:
- Exclude from [Apex | All] display Field
VOB names matching these patterns are excluded. If no patterns are specified, no VOBs are excluded by these fields.
- Only Include in [Apex | All] display
Display only VOB names matching these patterns. Matching names are also subject to exclusion. The default pattern is "*" which matches all VOBs.
- Save Settings
This button saves the Fields and Name Filtering options you have specified in a hidden file in your .Rational directory. This file is subsequently used as your customized default ClearCase VOBs display options (preferences).
ClearCase Views Display Options
This dialog is displayed by the View:Preferences command in a ClearCase Views viewer window. It is used to control the data displayed for each ClearCase view and to specify which views are displayed.
When OK or Apply is pressed, the specified Fields options and Name Filtering options are applied to the ClearCase Views window.
