Debug > Step > Jump ToDebug > Step > Jump To allows you to change the current PC location to any location currently displayed, either in the Language Editor or in the Source window. Place your cursor on the desired location and select Jump To. The current PC position will be changed to the location of the cursor. From a debugger window, the Jump To command is accessed from the Execution menu Execution > Jump To. From an Editor window, the Jump To command is accessed from the Debug > Step menu, Debug > Step > Jump To.
The Jump To command differs from the Run To command in that the debugged process is not set in motion; only the current PC of the process is changed. This command can be used to alter a program's normal flow of control. For example, you can use Jump To to force a program to execute the body of an if-statement that the program would normally branch around. Similarly, you can use Jump To to re-execute a statement that you just stepped over, perhaps stepping into a called subprogram the second time around.
Note: The Jump To command is equivalent to entering the jump command in the Command Line Pane. If the Source window is displayed, you can also jump by positioning the cursor at the desired location and pressing J.
Caution: The Jump To command is inherently unsafe. The debugger makes no attempts to verify that the new PC location you have chosen will result in successful subsequent execution. Use this command at your own risk.
