View > Format > CM Attributes

The View > Format > CM Attributes command displays CM attributes for selected objects in the viewer window. If no objects are selected, the command affects the display of each object visible in the viewer.

To use the command, select zero or more objects and then select View > Format > CM Attributes. The information displayed will depend on whether you are using Apex/Summit or Apex/ClearCase.

Apex/Summit CM Attribute Display

The first portion of the display looks like this:

The following table contains information about the fields in the display:

Field
Description
Out-of-date marker
Indicates that the object is not the latest version
Object name
Shows the object's simple name
Version-history family
Shows the version-history family to which the object belongs
Version or view
For views, shows the type of view, the name of the associated model, and (optionally) the storage location; for units, shows the number of the version in the current view, followed by the number of the latest version, if it differs

Version or view
For views, shows the type of view, the name of the associated model, and (optionally) the storage location; for units, shows the number of the version in the current view, followed by the number of the latest version, if it differs
Summit/CM status
Shows Summit/CM status of the version in the current view (In, Out, Private, Checked Out, Deleted or Uncontrolled), followed by the status of the latest version, if it differs
Comments
For objects that are checked out, or objects that are not the latest version, describes the status of the latest version (unless that version is checked in and is in this view)

Apex/ClearCase CM Attribute Display

The display contains the following information:

Field
Description
Out-of-date marker
Indicates that the object is not the latest version
Object name
Shows the object's simple name
Branch Name
Shows thebranch to which the object belongs
Version Number
Shows the number of the version in the current Rational Subsystem
CM status
Shows CM status of the version in the current Rational Subsystem
Model
For directories, shows the name of the associated model
