File > New > New ProjectThis dialog is used to create project files.
When there are a number of subsystems, views, and system configurations, just entering their names can be tedious and time consuming. If there are conventions concerning models, or histories, these may be difficult to remember because they are not used all that often. When you have set up a project, you can access files, directories, and resources named in your project by clicking special icons instead of typing pathnames.
Projects are described in the Programmer's Guide.
New Project Dialog Box Fields:
Name field
Enter the simple name of the project to be created. The file created with have a .apexprj suffix, but it is not necessary to enter the suffix in the Name field.
Context
By default, projects are created on a per-user basis and placed in the .Rational subdirectory of the user's home directory. You can place projects elsewhere by changing the context field to the desired directory.
