Mouse Definitions

Throughout the online reference, you will see instructions that tell you to left-click, left-drag, or perform some other action combined with click or drag. These instructions refer to the way in which you will use the mouse buttons to perform actions in Apex.

The common mouse-button actions are:

Example
Meaning
Left-click
Click the left mouse button once
Left-drag
Hold down the left mouse button, drag the mouse, and release the button
Middle-click
Click the middle mouse button once
Middle-drag
Hold down the middle mouse button, drag the mouse, and release the button
Right-click
Click the right mouse button once
Right-drag
Hold down the right mouse button, drag the mouse, and release the button
Double-click
Click the left button twice, without a pause between clicks
Triple-click
Click the left button three times, without a pause between clicks
Shift —— left-click
Hold down the Shift key on the keyboard and left-click

Debugger Breakpoints

The following mouse operations function during debugger breakpoints:

Left button
Sets a breakpoint if none is present and toggles between the active and deactive state if a breakpoint is already set.
Middle button
Sets a breakpoint if none is present and deletes the breakpoint if one is already set.

Job Control and Remote Execution

To access the Job Control dialog and other remote execution commands, right-click on any OK or Apply dialog button. A new menu will appear which includes Job Control and remote execution entries. Information on the this menu can be found in Job Control from Dialog Boxes.
