File > Move Object (Apex/Summit)The File > Move Object command moves one or more objects to a different directory or subsystem. When you invoke this command, the Move dialog box is displayed. Any selections that you made in the viewer window are displayed in the file list box in the Move dialog box.
Note: Whenever a subsystem or view is moved or renamed, the client views are not automatically updated. Client views record the name of their importers in files in the Imports subdirectory and these files must be updated to reflect the new names. This can be be done by editing the files or by using theImport dialogs.

Destination Field
Input the new directory path and object name in the Destination field.
Copy Version Check Box
- Select the Copy Version History If Controlled check box to move controlled objects along with their history. If this option is not selected, only the current version of each object is moved and the objects are no longer controlled.
