Tools > Hold Set > HoldThe Tools > Hold Set > Hold command places the selected object or objects in the hold set. If an object is already in the hold set, it is replaced by the new object. Hold sets provide an area in which to list an object or multiple objects to be used in an operation when applied to a target object.
If this is the first item to be put in a hold set, executing Tools > Hold Set > Hold creates the hold set and displays it in the Hold Set window. The full pathname of the object is listed, preceded by the kind of object.
directory: /home/walsh/meetings
You can double-click on the pathname to visit the object.
You can add multiple objects simultaneously to the hold set. Select those objects you want and execute Tools > Hold Set > Hold. All selected items are added to the hold set.
If you replace an existing object in the hold set with a new set, you can visit previous hold sets created in the current session. From the Hold Set window, use View > Previous and View > Next. From any other window with a Tools menu, use Tools > Hold Set > Previous, View > Previous and Tools > Hold Set > Next, View > Next.
To add an object to the hold set without replacing existing objects, select Tools > Hold Set > Add More.
