Navigate > Visit Rose C++

The Navigate > Visit Rose C++ command navigates from a C++ source file to the corresponding object in the Rose model, if it exists. This command is only available in an Apex directory viewer if the Rose product is installed.

To visit the Rose counterpart of a C++ source file from an Apex directory viewer, simple select the source file then click on Navigate > Visit Rose C++.

This command will (1) start a Rose server if it is not already running, (2) bring up the active Rose model if it exists, and (3) focus on the Rose object corresponding to the source file. See Rose > C++ > Visualization Summaryfor more information about active models.

If the current model file does not exist (this can be detected by using the Rose > C++ > Visualization Summarycommand), use the Rose > C++ > Visualize command to build it.

If the current model file does not contain an object corresponding to the selected source file, an error message is displayed in the Apex message window. Remove the current model file by using theRose > C++ > Clean Up > Delete Visualization Model(s) command, and recreate a new model file that contains the selected file by using the Rose > C++ > Visualize command.

This command is only available if Rose Developer is installed. This product is described in the Rose Developer User's Guide.
