Edit > Undo and Edit > RedoUse the Edit > Undo command to reverse the last change you made to the window. When you invoke Edit > Undo, the command you last entered is undone. Commands that can be undone include Edit > Cut, Edit > Paste, Edit > Comment, Edit > Uncomment, Compile > Syntax, and Compile > Complete. To reverse the undo operation, select Edit > Redo.
The following example illustrates how the Edit > Undo and Edit > Redo commands work.
- 1. . This example is based on the following text:
![]()
- 2. . The following shows the text after This was changed to The panel_interface_adb:
![]()
Selecting Edit > Undo returns the text to its original state (see item 1 above). Selecting Edit > Redo reverses the undo operation (see item 2 above).
- 3. . The following example shows the text after a second change: many was inserted before the word procedures:
![]()
- 4. . Selecting Edit > Undo at this point will only reverse the last change. In this example, Edit > Undo removes many but does not affect the panel_interface_adb change made earlier (unless the Edit > Undo command is selected again):
