Edit > Search (Directory Window)The Edit > Search command enables you to search for text within a window. The button bar is replaced with controls for searching in the window. The following controls are displayed:
Search For Field
This field is for entering the pattern to search for.
Options Menu
The toggle buttons on the Options menu can be used to limit the search.
- Consider Case
Check this box to conduct a case-sensitive search.
- Wildcards
Check this box to use wildcard characters in the search pattern. The directory viewer recognizes the same wildcard characters that the Apex editor recognizes (see Using Wildcard Characters for more details). Note that these wildcards are not the same as those used in filename generation by the shell.
- Whole Word
Check this box to avoid matching word fragments.
Search Buttons
- Clear
This button clears the Search For field.
- Select All
This button selects all the files in the window.
- Deselect All
This button un-selects all the files in the window.
- Select Matching
This button selects only those files that match the Search For field
- Deselect Matching
This button deselects only those files that match the pattern in the Search For field.
- Done
