Job Control Dialog BoxThe Job Control dialog box enables users to define or modify how a job is to be run directly from any dialog box. It is accessed by a right mouse click on the OK or Apply button in any dialog.
Job Control Dialog Box Fields:
Machine
Specify the machine to run the command on. This machine must be NFS'd on your network. A description of how to distribute commands over a network can be found in the Programmer's Guide.
Job Radio Bullets
No Job Prerequisites, Queue job after selected jobs or last job, and Show job in Job Queue window control when the job executes and if it is displayed in the Job Queue window.
Start
Specify the time to start in this field.
Output File
If no output file is specified, all output is sent to the message server. Specify a file name in this field to redirect the output.
Run in batch
Takes a license for the command an holds it. The job will continue running, even if Apex is exited. This command should be used in conjunction with a specified output file.
Run in Parallel
Run any command in parallel. Commands for which parallel execution is most meaningful include check in, check out, accept changes, code and link. Options for parallel execution are to include imports and/or client views, and to specify a list of machines. This list will override the distributed machine defaults at either the user or site level.
Options
Options are sent to the Apex net command. The net command is run from an Apex shell.
Note: The Job Control dialog can be displayed from any dialog box, even from those for which it is inapplicable.
