Message PrefixesWhen messages are displayed anywhere other than a dialog box, a prefix may optionally precede the message text itself. There are three possible fields that can appear in the prefix: symbols (such as +++ for positive messages), date, and time. These field names define the tokens for the switch APEX_PREFIX_LAYOUT. In addition, the date and time fields are displayed in a format selected by the APEX_PREFIX_DATE_FORMAT and APEX_PREFIX_TIME_FORMAT switches respectively. The following tables summarize the date and time format values, using April 15, 1999 at 11 P.M. as the example.
