Control > Show > Versions (Apex/Summit)The Control > Show > Versions command displays a list of versions for a controlled object or objects in a Versions field. The information is displayed in a Versions Window. The information displayed for each version may include both predefined and user-defined version attributes. The attributes displayed and the format used can be customized. This command can also be used to display information for a range of versions in a given history of a given element, or for a list of versions identified by full version names (the version number may be specified as "*" to include all versions). By default, the current or specified history is displayed. Use the buttons near the bottom of the dialog to optionally display all histories or all ancestor histories.
This command displays the Show Versions dialog box.

This form specifies which versions are to be displayed. There are three radio buttons which provide alternative ways to specify the versions:
- Filename
The pathname of a single file is specified. A range of versions within the current history of that file may be specified.
- Element
An element name and history are specified. (See Version and Element Names.) A range of versions within the specified history of the element may be specified.
- Versions
One or more full version names are specified. (See Version and Element Names.) A version number may be specified or "*" may be specified to indicate all versions of the element in the specified history
First Version Field
Indicates the first version in a range of versions to be displayed.
Last Version Field
Indicates the last version in a range of versions to be displayed.
Show All Histories Check Box
Show versions in all histories of the element.
Show Ancestors Check Box
Show versions associated with all ancestor histories of the indicated history.
Display Format Radio Buttons
- Use an existing display format
Indicates that a display format which already exists is to be used for the versions window. The desired format must be selected from the option menu. The predefined formats are:
In addition, any user-defined format appearing in the option menu may be selected. (See View > Format > Define.)
- Define or modify a display format
Selecting this radio button displays the Define Versions Format Dialog Box dialog which may be use to alter an existing format or to define a new format. (See View > Format > Define.)
Versions Window
The following information is displayed by the Standard format. This format can be selected from the Show Versions dialog or the View > Format > Standard command in the Versions window.
