Control > Show > ClearCase ViewsThis command creates a viewer window which displays the ClearCase Views that are available. By default the window shows only those Views that are Apex-enabled, but a radio button at the bottom of the window allows all available views to be viewed. This command is only available if you have purchased the Apex/ClearCase integration product.
Views Window Menus
The ClearCase Views viewer window provides a special set of menu commands (and buttons) most of which apply to the selected Views:
File menu
- Delete
This command deletes ClearCase Views. It displays the Control > ClearCase > Delete ClearCase View dialog.
Edit menu
Provides commands to copy View information into the paste buffer:
- Copy View Pathname
Places the pathnames of selected Views in the paste buffer.
- Copy Storage Pathname
Places the pathnames of the storage directories associated with selected ClearCase views in the paste buffer.
- Copy Window Image
Places the textual contents of the entire viewer window in the paste buffer.
View menu
- Preferences
Displays the ClearCase Views Display Options dialog used to select the particular ClearCase view data to be displayed and to filter the list of viewss displayed using filename patterns.
- Hide Selected
Removes the selected ClearCase views from the viewer by adding their names to the "Exclude from Apex display" list in the Preferences dialog (ClearCase Views Display Options dialog).
- Remove Name Filtering
Disables the view name filter options (if any) specified via the Preferences dialog (ClearCase Views Display Options dialog).
- Show Internal Views
Shows the Apex structure views in which elements are actually created by the Apex/ClearCase integration. Otherwise, only user-created views are shown.
- Sort By Name, By Time, By Machine
Sorts the views displayed in the window by the selected file attribute. The sort option that is currently in use is greyed (and is insensitive).
Navigate menu
Show menu
Displays information about each selected ClearCase view.
- Describe
Invokes the ClearCase "describe" command on the view. The describe command eimits ClearCase-oriented information about the selected object. The output is displayed in the message window.
- Config Spec
Displays the configuration specification for the ClearCase view in the message window.
- Apex Views
Creates a directory window containing all of Apex views associated with the ClearCase view. You can use this window to navigate into those views.
- Associated VOBs
Creates a VOBs window listing each of the VOBs associated with the ClearCase view.
- ClearCase VOBs
Displays the ClearCase VOBs windows which shows all available VOBs.Space
Admin menu
- Starts
Starts (activates) the selected ClearCase Views. This command is insensitive if the selected views are already active.Registry Info
