File > Set Environment

The File > Set Environment command sets UNIX environment variables (including session switches) from the specified file. This command uses the Set Program Environment dialog box: This command is only available from the debugger.

In the Filename field, enter the full pathname (no tilde) of the file containing the variables and their new values. This format of this file is the same as the output of the printenv UNIX command.

For example, if your program needs the environment variable MY_PROG_DAY set and you want to get a minimum of output messages from Apex, your environment file contains:

If you do not enter a filename, the default debugger environment is used. These environment variables are used for the entire Apex session unless they are changed again by a File > Set Environment command.
