Edit > Delete

In any editor or viewer window that can be modified (such as the Windows window), the Edit > Delete command removes the selected text from the window without saving the text to the clipboard; you cannot retrieve deleted text using Edit > Paste. In an editor or the Debugger Main Log window, you must be in edit mode to invoke this command. If you invoke Edit > Delete without making a selection, nothing will happen. This is the standard Motif delete function.

To delete text from an object:

1. . If you are in an editor or the Debugger Main Log window, verify that you are in edit mode.

2. . Select the text to be deleted using one of the standard text- selection methods:

3. . Click on Edit > Delete to remove the text:
