Navigate > Enclosing UnitThe Navigate > Enclosing Unit command opens a window on the enclosing context of the current object. For most objects, the enclosing context is a directory. If the window is already open, the command raises the window. Use of Navigate > Enclosing Unit depends on the window in which you select the command.
Rather than opening a separate window, you can open an enclosing window in place of the current one. You can do this only if the enclosing context is of the same type, as in replacing a directory with its parent directory. Here are two ways to enclose in place:
- Shift-click on Navigate > Enclosing Unit In Place.
- Use the Navigate > Enclosing Unit In Place command.
