Compile > Build Body

The Compile > Build Body command incrementally builds bodies needed by selected units. Build Body determines which bodies are missing and then creates them. Once the operation is complete, the selected unit can be compiled. When you choose this command, the Build Body dialog box appears.

More detailed information on this command including specific Ada 95 feature support is available in the Command Reference .

Build Body Dialog Box Fields:

The scope of a Build Body operation depends on where you use it:

If possible, Apex places the new body into an existing unit or subunit. If Apex creates a unit or subunit to contain a new body, that unit is uncontrolled.

Build Body For Field

In the Build body for field, type the name of the unit you want to run Build Body on, or use the Navigate icon and the File Selection dialog box to select the units. Click on OK or Apply.

In the language editor, this command operates on the current unit. To operate on multiple units, bring up the Build Body dialog box by pressing Control —— Build Body.

Build Body Check Boxes

Both of these check boxes are selected (True) by default.
