Tools > Hold Set > Hold TextThe Tools > Hold Set > Hold Text command places the selected text in the hold set as a text object.
The selected text is listed on a single line in the Hold Set window; end-of-line delimiters signify any line breaks in the actual text.
text:foo_bar
Applying a text object to a view, for example, runs a search of the given text string within the given contexts.
You can also place a specific line number in the hold set. To do this, select a number in the current text and press the Mod1 key (usually bound to Alt or Meta) while selecting Tools > Hold Set > Hold Text. The number you selected is placed in the hold set as a line- number object.
If you use Tools > Hold Set > Apply to apply a line number to a file, the file is visited (if not already displayed) in an appropriate window and the cursor is positioned on the specified line.
