File > New > New C++This command opens the File New C++ dialog box.
C++ Types Pull Down Menus
There are two Create an empty C++ pull down menus. The default C++ types are Class and Header.
The option-menu button labeled Class lets you create a Class, Template Class, Template Function, file, or Main implementation file.
The option-menu button labeled Header lets you create a C++ header file, a C++ implementation file, or both.
Name Field
In the Name text field, enter the C++ name.
Filename Field
In the Filename field, enter a filename. A .h or .C suffix is added as required.
Context Field
In the Context field, enter where to create the new file(s).
File New C++ Check Boxes
- Visit It (the default)
Click the Visit It check box to open the file in a text-editor window.
- Make It Controlled
Click the Make it Controlled check box to make the object controlled through Summit/CM. When you select this box, the Associate Tasks Field appears if you have Rational Summit installed. This field specifies the tasks to be associated with the newly created and controlled file. It is initialized with the current task list. The Navigate icon can be used to select a different set of tasks by activating the Select Tasks dialog.
