File > RefindThe File > Refind command, available in a grep viewer, re-executes the Grep command that generated the grep viewer. The Refind command is also located on the button bar of the grep viewer.
For example, you might want to delete the occurrences of the pattern in some or all of the files that contain that pattern. To confirm your changes without bringing up a new dialog box and generating a new grep viewer, select File > Refind from the grep viewer. The command has the following effect:
- Executes Grep again, using the same parameters you specified for the Grep command that generated this grep viewer
- Redisplays the grep viewer in place to list the files that contain the pattern you are grepping for
- Prints a message in a Message window to inform you that no occurrences of the pattern are found and closes the grep viewer
