........................................................................ PATCH DESCRIPTION FOR PATCH 7.0.0.0-RATL-RRP-IFIX02 (Priority: Mandatory) Platform: Windows Prerequisite: 7.0.0.0 ........................................................................... Information for installing from a release area: RATLC00991284: In most cases, a release area created from a version 7.0.0.0 installation package supports all available languages for a product; however, when a release area is created from CD media or ISO files and the product spans more than one CD/ISO, then the release area only supports the language in which the release area was created. For example, if a release area is created on a Japanese operating system in Japanese, then the release area only supports the Japanese language. The following two workarounds are available to create a multi-language release area with CD media or ISO files: 1. Create the release area using an image that was downloaded as a Web download. The problem that occurs when spanning CD/ISO files is not encountered when a Web download is used to create a release area. 2. Create the release area using CDs or ISO files. Place the IBM Rational Product CD Disc 1 in the CD drive ~or~ mount the IBM Rational Product CD Disc 1 ISO image. Run the MUI_RA_Console.exe tool, which updates the release area with information to support all available languages for a product. For example: MUI_RA_Console where is the letter of the CD drive that contains IBM Rational Product CD 1 or the drive mapped to IBM Rational Product CD 1 ISO image, and is the root directory location of the pre-existing release area created using a version 7.0.0.0 GA product installation CD. This can occur with an unusually long project description. IC46922 (RATLC00961822) - Corrects an error that occurred when creating a requirement in a document, when the location of the requirement (text position) in the document is greater than 32767 characters. This was fixed indirectly in iFix001 by RATLC00987513. Relative position, rather than character count, is now used to locate requirements in documents. IC47077 (RATLC00472681) - Corrects a condition that blocked access to all RequisitePro projects in a database when only one project was corrupted. IC48603 (RATLC00772473) - Corrects an error that occurred when creating requirements from contiguous cells in a Microsoft Word table. The error message indicated that you cannot create a requirement within another requirement (or with overlapping content). The content of the requirements was adjacent--not overlapping, but the application mistakenly interpreted the cell border between the requirements as shared content. The requirement creation process now ignores the cell border. IC49721 (RATLC00990942) - Corrects a problem in RequisiteWeb in which changes to the position of a requirement in a document were recorded in the revision history. As a result, traceability relationships were marked as suspect. PK12054 (RATLC01099310) - Corrects a problem in which changes to the duration of a task in Microsoft Project were not reflected in the integrated requirement in RequisitePro. This fix removes the white spaces at start and end of the integrated attribute value. PK12152 (RATLC01099415) - Corrects a problem in Requirement Metrics reporting. If the first filter in a query was "Attribute Value Change" or "Requirement Creation," then the remaining filters were not processed. All filters are now processed. PK14021 (RATLC01102049) - Corrects a problem that caused the RequisitePro project and project path to be converted to uppercase characters during the configuration of the integration with ClearQuest. PK19278 (RATLC01109709) - Corrects the confirmation message that is displayed when checking in a UCM-enabled RequisitePro project in the Rational Administrator. New versions are created in ClearCase for only those artifacts that have changed. PK19880 (RATLC00772553) - Corrects the display and format of bulleted or numbered text in requirements in documents. In some cases, initial items were not displayed and the last item was not formatted correctly. PK21416 (RATLC00982127) - Corrects a display problem in the Compare Baselines window that cut off the Baseline 2 field and Browse button when the Windows XP DPI display option is set to Large Size and the Desktop Properties Appearance is set to Windows XP style. PK22208 (RATLC00144681) - Corrects a problem that occurred when creating a requirement in a Word document. If the text contained hidden characters, the first character in the requirement text was deleted. PK22288 (RATLC00144694) - Eliminates hidden characters "..." which were displayed in a document after the "Delete Requirement" operation if the requirement started with an open parenthesis '(' or an open bracket '[' character. PK25122 (RATLC00988277) - Eliminates an error that occurred when a Requirement Metrics report was saved to an unusually long path and the Requirement Metrics tool was reopened. The buffer size for the recent file list has been changed from static to dynamic to correct this problem. PK26050 (RATLC00740697) Prevents the addition of GPF records to the error log when Rational XDE is not installed and the user opens the RequisitePro client for Windows. PK26052 (RATLC00145433) Corrects a problem that caused RequisiteWeb to lose the "~=" (not empty value) query criteria when filtering an Attribute Matrix. PK26730 (RATLC00990802) - Fixes the incorrect reporting of the number of exported requirements from an Attribute Matrix to a CSV file. The number reported was one higher than the actual export. PK26851 (RATLC00991007) - In release 2003.06.15, errors occurred when attempting to create and modify hierarchical relationships in RequisiteWeb. This problem was resolved in release 7.0.0.0. PK27176 (RATLC01091243) - Corrects an error that occurred after renaming an existing user and then creating a new user with the original name of the existing user. Changes to user names are now processed before checking for existing user names when adding a new user. PK27574 (RATLC01185071) - Eliminates an error that occurred when launching RequisitePro version 7.0 after a new installation on Windows 2003 Server Enterprise SP1. RATLC00738830 - Corrects a problem that occurred when an administrator created a user with the same user name as a deleted user. If the deleted user was reactivated, the password of the new user was set for the reactivated user. RATLC00744961 - LDAP: Corrects the error message that was displayed when running the setldapinit configuration subcommand on a configuration file that has read-only permissions. RATLC00744962 LDAP: Modifies the error message that is displayed when running the getldapconfig configuration subcommand on a RequisitePro project that has disabled LDAP authentication. The message now indicates that an LDAP configuration file is not associated with the project. RATLC00745465 - LDAP: Fixes an error in which the getauthenticationmode configuration subcommand reports an incorrect value in the "administrator" field. This value indicates whether the user has permissions to modify project structure. RATLC00992017 - Corrects an error that occurred when creating a project from a template using a database in Oracle version 10.2. The error occurred because the user did not have the privilege to create views. The Oracle database configuration script create_user.sql has been modified so that it no longer uses the CONNECT and RESOURCE roles to grant privileges to the new user, since the privileges in these roles changed in version 10.2. Instead, it explicitly grants the privileges that were contained in these roles in previous versions of Oracle. RATLC00992305 - Provides a error message when an attempt to open a project in the RequisitePro client for Windows is unsuccessful due to a missing component. The error message has been available through the RPX (API), and is now displayed in the client for Windows. RATLC00992320 - Corrects a problem that caused the wrong ClearQuest record to be displayed in the integration of RequisiteWeb and ClearQuest Web when navigating from RequisiteWeb to view the ClearQuest record. RATLC01090547 - LDAP: Corrects an error that occurred when the ldap_user_attribute configuration value included leading or trailing spaces. This value is specified in the setrpldapmap subcommand. The execution of this subcommand now removes leading or trailing tabs and spaces from the value. RATLC01091522 - Prevents an error from being displayed when the user cancels the creation of the first discussion for a requirement. RATLC01091796 - Enables the user to view online Help by pressing F1 on the Final Review window in the Make Baseline wizard. RATLC01185006 - When associating a requirement to a ClearQuest record, the "OK" button is now enabled only if items are selected. Previously, it was enabled even when requirements were not selected. Clicking OK caused an error. ...........................................................................
