It includes installation information and links to lists of fixes in this fix pack. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Contents This document contains the following sections: About this release Installation information Fixed defects ------------------------------------------------------------------ About this release This Fix Pack 7.0.1.5 for IBM Rational RequisitePro includes all interim fixes and fix packs subsequent to version 7.0.1. This fix pack is a full product install of Rational RequisitePro. Fix packs and other maintenance releases are available at IBM Rational Support on the Web (http://www.ibm.com/software/rational/support/upgrades/). For the most current version of this document and other release notes, see the "Installing and upgrading" section in the Rational RequisitePro information center: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/reqpro/v7r1m0/index.jsp ------------------------------------------------------------------ Installation information Platform: Windows Prerequisite: 7.0.1 You can install RequisitePro v. 7.0.1.5 from a software package download from IBM Rational Support on the Web (http://www.ibm.com/software/rational/support/upgrades/). You can perform a single client or server installation using the Windows Installer service, or create a release area for performing multiple installations. For details on installing Rational software, see the IBM Rational RequisitePro Installation and Upgrade Guide, 7.0.1, which is available at the IBM Publications Center (http://www.elink.ibmlink.ibm.com/publications/servlet/pbi.wss) and is installed with Rational RequisitePro by default in the following location: C:\Program Files\Rational\RequisitePro\doc\books\rp_install.pdf. Because this Fix Pack includes all previous maintenance releases for RequisitePro version 7.0.1, you can install it on top of version 7.0.1, with or without subsequent interim fix or fix pack content. To roll back to a previous version of the product after installing a fix pack, you must uninstall the full product. You can then install a previous version of the full product. Important: Review the following requirement prior to upgrading any version 7.0.0 Rational Team Products to version 7.0.1.5. When more than one of the following products is installed on a system, after one is upgraded to version 7.0.1.5, all the others must be upgraded to version 7.0.1.5 before using any of them. - IBM Rational ClearCase - IBM Rational ClearQuest - IBM Rational ProjectConsole - IBM Rational RequisitePro - IBM Rational Robot - IBM Rational SoDA - IBM Rational TestManager For more information, see the Rational Support technote 1251131 (http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q1=1251131&uid=swg21251131). Installation limitation: When installing RequisitePro, do not use non-ASCII or double-byte characters for the installation path. (RATLC01005677) Prerequisites to installation on the RequisiteWeb server: Prior to upgrading the installation of the RequisiteWeb components, perform the following steps: Verify that all RequisiteWeb users are logged out of RequisiteWeb. Reboot the RequisiteWeb server before installing the fix pack. Verify that all RqProxy.exe processes have been ended in the Task Manager. This information is also available in the Rational Support technote 1256183 (http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21256183). Information for installing from a release area: In most cases, a release area created from a 7.0 installation package will support all available languages for a product. However, when a release area is created from CD media or ISO files and the product spans more than one CD/ISO, the release area will support only the language that the release area was created with. For example, if a release area is created on a Japanese operating system in Japanese, then the release area will support only the Japanese language. The following two workarounds are available to create a multi-language release area with CD media or ISO files: Create the release area using an image that was downloaded as a Web download. The problem that occurs when spanning CD/ISO files is not encountered when a Web download is used to create a release area. Create the release area using CDs or ISO files. Place the IBM/Rational Product CD Disc 1 in the CD drive or mount the IBM/Rational Product CD Disc 1 ISO image. Run the MUI_RA_Console.exe tool that will update the release area with information to support all available languages a product. For example: MUI_RA_Console where is the letter of the CD drive that contains IBM/Rational Product CD 1 or the drive mapped to IBM/Rational Product CD 1 ISO image, and is the root directory location of the pre-existing release area created using a Baltic GA product installation CD. (RATLC00991284) ------------------------------------------------------------------ Fixed defects This Fix Pack release includes fixes from previous 7.0.1 interim fixes and fix packs. In addition, this fix pack includes fixes for the following problems: IC59334, PK70815 (RATLC01243922, RATLC01264526) - It was not possible to replace the default project templates with custom templates on a shared drive. You can now designate a secondary path (Tools->Options->Project Templates ). When you provide a path to a shared folder (using UNC), only the custom project templates in that folder are displayed -- not the default templates. PK79391 (RATLC01476197) The Traceability Tree view displayed requirements that were outside of the query. Instead of showing only the requirement types specified in the query applied to the view, it showed all requirement types traced to the row requirement type of the view. The method for filtering query results was modified to return only requirements that match the query conditions. PK80077 (RATLC01476881) - After exporting an Attribute Matrix view to a CSV file, if you viewed it in Microsoft(R) Excel(R), all attributes except for the last attribute were listed in the first row. The last attribute was displayed in the second row under the first column. PK80081, PK80829, (RATLC01476885, RATLC01477658) - When viewing requirements in a view or a CSV export, requirements that include line breaks in the requirement text displayed characters such as instead of line breaks. Line feeds in the requirement text now display correctly in all the views and CSV exports. PK80106 (RATLC01476893) - In RequisiteWeb, when importing a document that has tables or images in the requirement text, the following error was displayed: "Error An error has occurred: Error com.rational.rjcb.ComException: HRESULT=0x800a178c: Microsoft Word: The range cannot be deleted. " The problem was caused by bookmarks and bullets in the tables. The problem is resolved. PK81354 (RATLC00153221) - While creating a Traceability Matrix view, if the check box "Direct links only" was cleared in the Query Requirement window, indirect traceability links were not shown. This works as designed. In order to see the indirect relationships, you must enable the "Show Indirect" option on the View > Properties menu. When this option is disabled, the legend "Relationships: - direct only" is displayed in the upper left corner of the view. If it is enabled, the legend shows "Relationships: - all displayed". This option is disabled by default. To change the default settings for all views of that type, set the view properties and then select View > Properties > Save As Default. PK81507 (RATLC00409065) - While searching for a string in the text field of an attribute, if the string included more than 255 characters, the query failed. The limitation on the length of the search string has been removed. PK81631 (RATLC01478614) - When exporting views to a CSV file, if values included a decimal and a zero, such as 1.0 or 1.1.10, the decmial places were not shown correctly. The problem was caused by data handling in Microsoft(R) Excel(R). The resolved esclation RATLC01478617 provides possible fixes for the problem. To review details, search for the Authorized Problem Analysis Report (APAR) number (ICxxxx or PKxxxx) at the IBM Rational RequisitePro Support Web site (http://www.ibm.com/software/awdtools/reqpro/support/). Paste the APAR number in the "Enter search terms" field.
