This patch contains the following software changes:


PM15837:

   Problem: When browsing ClearQuest records from within CCRC on a Korean locale, CQ UCM field labels have a slighter larger font size.  This sometimes leads to truncation of some label names.

   Fix: On Korean locales, ClearQuest field labels now have uniform font sizes when viewed from within CCRC.


PM26019:

   Problem: Microsoft Windows 7 removed the  'open with' context menu when you right click on an executable fle. 

This is described in Microsoft Article KB259908.

IBM Rational ClearCase Explorer context menu incorrectly allows  'open with' on executable files.

   Fix: For Windows Vista and above, IBM Rational ClearCase Explorer context menu no longer allows  'open with' on executable files (.exe, .bat, .cmd and .com files).


PM47546:

   Problem: When performing highly parallel builds using the IBM Rational ClearCase "clearmake" tool, a build session or system hang may occur when under heavy loads on multicore hosts.

   Fix: This fix corrects a deadlock condition hit during parallel building.


PM50668:

   Problem: On ClearCase installs, the cache folder was not being added the everyone group, causing performance impact and erros on the Albd service.

   Fix: Implemented a function to setup correctly the folders and their permissions on ClearCase installs.


PM60652:

   Problem: When opening a Microsoft Excel file in an IBM Rational ClearCase dynamic view, you may receive the error: "Microsoft Excel cannot open or save any more documents because there is not enough available memory or disk space."

   Fix: A change made in the tracking of MVFS I/O request status has eliminated this error.


PM80884:

   Problem: ClearCase cleartool relocate is not duplicating attributes that are being stored on branch types and label types.

   Fix: ClearCase cleartool relocate now duplicates attributes that are placed on branch and label types.


PM80910:

   Problem: A merge from Version Tree Browser to UCM branch is allowed with an inappropriate Activity in ClearCase

   Fix: Checks were added to ClearCase to ensure the stream guarding the branch is the ancestor of the current activity.


PM80982:

   Problem: Rational ClearTeam Explorer incorrectly handles cases in which a user removes the data for a particular version (using "cleartool rmver -force -data -ver <version> <element>") and then tries to open that version in ClearTeam Explorer (for instance, from the vtree).

Under these circumstances, the local copy of the latest version loaded into the view ends up renamed, and appears hijacked.  The user must run an update with the "replace hijacked files" option to recover.

   Fix: ClearTeam Explorer now correctly handles the situation in which version data has been removed by the user.  A message is displayed to the user, and the latest version in the view is not modified.


PM81352:

PM82764:

   Problem: Applications may crash with an access violation within ccasenp.dll on machines with IBM Rational ClearCase installed.

   Fix: Use of a NULL pointer has been corrected.


PM82892:

   Problem: ClearCase primary group setting in server.conf for CCRC WAN Server is not used.

   Fix: ClearCase primary group setting in server.conf is now used as the default primary group for CCRC users logging into this server. This group setting is overridden by the group name set in the ClearTeam Explorer preference for each client.


PM83353:

   Problem: When using the ClearTeam Explorer / RSARTE integration, with dynamic views, after an undo checkout is performed, files that are not in an open editor in a dynamic view will be out of sync with the file system owing to a reversion of the time stamp.

   Fix: The eclipse artifact representing the file is now updated after the undo checkout operation, effectively re-synchrinizing the artifact.


PM83360:

   Problem: ClearTeam Explorer has a problem where resources are intermittently out of sync with the file system after a checkout.

   Fix: The ClearTeam Explorer fixes a problem where resources are intermittently out of sync with the file system after a checkout.


PM83360:

   Problem: The ClearTeam Explorer /  Rational Software Architect RealTime Edition (RSARTE) integration takes a long time to update the icon decoration after a SCM operation, for example, checkout

   Fix: The ClearTeam Explorer fixes a performance issue where decorating a model resource after a SCM operation takes a long time.


PM83360:

   Problem: The ClearTeam Explorer / RSARTE integration performs slowly during project explorer navigation

   Fix: The ClearTeam Explorer fixes an issue where performance is slow during project explorer navigation when integrating with RSARTE


PM83363:

   Problem: When using the ClearTeam Explorer / RSARTE integration, it takes a long time for the context menu to come up on a logical model when using the 'only include physical files' logical resource preference.

   Fix: ClearTeam Explorer improves performance when bringing up the context menu on a logical model when using the 'only include physical files' logical resource preference.


PM84056:

   Problem: The ClearTeam Explorer has an issue where checking in a target file that has an alias present in the workspace, the SCM decoration state of the alias is not updated.

   Fix: Fixes an issue in the ClearTeam Explorer, enabling an aliased file's SCM state to be updated when the target is checked in.


PM84648:

   Problem: After checked in of an element via the IBM Rational Base ClearCase/ClearQuest V2 integration, you may receive and error:

Tk::Error: element "Name/A and B (all)" already exists

   Fix: IBM Rational Base ClearCase/ClearQuest V2 Integration does a refresh of the query name list to resolve the issue.


PM84848:

   Problem: The Rational ClearTeam Explorer / Rational Software Architect RealTime Edition (RSARTE) integration, intermittently shows blank file names.

   Fix: ClearTeam Explorer fixes an issue where blank file names appear when using the Rational Software Architect RealTime Edition integration.


PM84918:

   Problem: In ClearCase, a cleartool rebase -complete may fail with deadman lock timeouts in a UCM environment with multiple project VOBs.

   Fix: This fix ensures that cleartool does not open read transactions in multiple VOBs at the same time, thus preventing deadlocks.


PM84929:

   Problem: Rational ClearTeam Explorer has an issue where Merge throws a NoSuchMethodException

   Fix: ClearTeam Explorer fixes an issue where Merge throws a NoSuchMethodException


PM85221:

   Problem: BSOD was caused by a compatibility issue with NAS.

   Fix: Clearcase MVFS was updated to support NAS as a host.


PM85232:

   Problem: Using IBM Rational ClearTeam Explorer from a view context the option to Rebase > "Rebase to the latest baselines" will select the latest baselines for the current foundations on the rebasing stream.

   Fix: The child will now be rebased to match the latest configuration of the parent stream and any overriding (if at all) in child's foundation will be cleared if it is not present in parent's latest configuration.


PM85562:

   Problem: Reformatting a VOB or making a new replica on ClearCase 7.1.2 and later may fail with an out-of-memory error.

   Fix: The ClearCase db_dumper program was fixed to manage memory more efficiently.


PM85587:

   Problem: When accessing a workitem in Microsoft Team Foundation Server, devenv.exe may crash if you have the IBM Rational ClearCase Visual Studio integration enabled. 

This crash is due to the fact that Team Foundation Server is not supported for use with ClearCase and is sending information to our plugin that we do not understand. 

   Fix: Non source-controlled artifacts no longer cause devenv.exe to crash.


PM86120:

   Problem: When you are using linked resources with the IBM Rational ClearCase SCM adapter with Rational Software Architect, linked resource paths containing artifacts to be checked out will show the artifact in the checkout dialog multiple times.

   Fix: The fix prevents confusing multiple entries of single artifacts in checkout/checkin dialogs.


PM89545:

   Problem: In ClearTeam Explorer plugin for Eclipse, Compare operations in Version Tree fail on a checked out version
