This patch contains the following software changes:


PI09652:

   Problem: The documentation for upgrading views, http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/cchelp/v8m0r1/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.rational.clearcase.ccrc.help.doc%2Ftopics%2Ft_maintenance_upgradeview.htm,  incorrectly states that you should use Upgrade Copy Area when the correct option is Update URL.

   Fix: The information has been corrected.


PI11015:

   Problem: When using IBM Rational ClearTeam Explorer rcleartool, nested version selection rules and comments in webview config spec do not work.

   Fix: IBM Rational ClearTeam Explorer rcleartool has been fixed to properly read/use nested version selection rules. Comments in the config spec are now properly supported.


PI21671:

   Problem: In IBM Rational ClearTeam Explorer when browsing the preferences, the following error may be displayed "The currently displayed page contains invalid values".

   Fix: IBM Rational ClearTeam Explorer now correctly browses preferences.


PI28310:

   Problem: The IBM Rational ClearTeam Explorer Eclipse plugin will hang when an attempt to hijack a .classpath file is made in a web view.

   Fix: This issue has been resolved.


PI30211:

   Problem: When you are trying to integrate IBM Rational ClearTeam Explorer (CTE) or use the SCM adapter with another product that uses a later version of xml4c_5_8.dll, you will get an error message that "The procedure entry point ...... could not be located in the dynamic link library xml4c_5_8.dll".

   Fix: A DLL name conflict has been resolved.


PI31112:

   Problem: When using IBM Rational ClearCase and performing "cleartool mkelem -ci -master -mkpath -cq `find <DIR>" the command ends with an internal error if the current working directory is not checkedout when the command is run and evil_twin protection is enabled on the VOB.

   Fix: The internal error has been resolved.


PI31209:

   Problem: You may receive the following error when working in the IBM Rational ClearCase (CC) - Rational Team Concert (RTC) bridge and adding a file to source control:

CRMAP7009: CCRC command "BulkMkelemDynamic" failed.

   Fix: The CMI-layer code now provides the CMI Task Selection GUI for mkelem.


PI31647:

   Problem: The rcleartool reference page fails to list mklabel and mklbtype.

   Fix: Links to the reference pages for these two commands have been added to the rcleartool reference page.


PI34193:

   Problem: The IBM Rational ClearCase CCz may fail when performing a rccbuild due to a short job name.

If &USERID is used as job name when RCCMVS is customized, a build request may end with errors when the length of requester's user id is less than the one of '&USERID'.  

   Fix: IBM Rational ClearCase CCz was modified to handle short job names.


PI34478:

   Problem: When using IBM Rational ClearTeam Explorer, you may find that the "Start View" GUI will not do a "type down" when returning a list of views when using the filter.

   Fix: ClearTeam Explorer now allows the user to type into the View list on the Start View dialog to find a view tag.


PI36011:

   Problem: IBM Rational ClearCase Linux builds in dynamic views (audited builds) may encounter performance degradation after upgrade to 8.0.0.6 or 8.0.1 in certain configurations.

   Fix: The audit subsystem was modified for a performance improvement.


PI37295:

   Problem: When working in IBM Rational ClearTeam Explorer, CTE may hang when trying to do a merge operation between branches within a web or a dynamic view.

   Fix: ClearTeam Explorer no longer hangs.


PI37557:

   Problem: The IBM Rational ClearCase Remote Client (CCRC) client does not sync eclipse workspace resources with their disk equivalent post a state change operation. Using the preference "Automatic Refresh" shows the update, however, a noticeable delay is observed post a state change operation and the refresh.

   Fix: CCRC client now keeps eclipse workspace resources in sync with their disk equivalents.


PI38877:

   Problem: You may receive a Microsoft Windows STOP error (BSOD) when performing a CUT/PASTE between IBM Rational ClearCase dynamic views in the following situations:

1) In Windows Explorer or ClearCase Explorer, you cut the file in the source dynamic view and paste it into the target dynamic view.  This does not occur if both views are local.

2) You cut the file from a Unix/Linux view and paste it into a Windows dynamic view.

   Fix: IBM Rational ClearCase has been modified to prevent system panics during file cut and paste operations in dynamic views.


PI40356:

   Problem: When running the IBM Rational ClearCase utility dbcheck against a large dbatabase (over 4Gb) dbcheck goes to endless loop.

   Fix: dbcheck no longer gets caught in an endless loop.


PI40363:

   Problem: When configuring the IBM Rational CM WAN server, you may find that new settings do not take effect.

   Fix: IBM Rational CM WAN server now correctly uses new settings.
