ClearCase Patch p4.1.NT-11 Causes Problems with SCC Integrations

Rational Engineering has found that ClearCase Patch 4.1.NT-11 causes problems with SCC integrations. This patch was issued January 26, 2001 as a mandatory patch for the Windows platforms. ClearCase Patch p4.1.NT-10, which was issued at the same time, has no problems.

ClearCase Patch p4.1.NT-11 has been pulled from the patch list and web site and will be replaced soon with a successor version. The patch causes problems for users who rely on SCC integrations or ClearCase context menus. There are no problems with using the command line or the Rational ClearCase Explorer.

If you use the command line and ClearCase Explorer only, Rational recommends that you wait for the replacement version of p4.1.NT-11. If you use the SCC integrations or ClearCase context menus, Rational recommends that you remove the patch.

The method of removal differs depending on whether or not you apply ClearCase patches from a ClearCase release area.

Rational apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.
