A defect in patch clearcase_p4.1.NT-28 causes the UCM ClearCase-ClearQuest integration to become disabled when the patch is installed. Attempts to perform any ClearCase operation affected by the integration (checkout, for example) in a UCM-enabled project result in a message of the form:
Unable to perform this operation in a clearquest enabled context. Clearquest is not installed.
Rational is developing a new patch that will fix this defect, which is logged as defect CMBU00061657. Until the patch is available, we recommend that all sites that have installed clearcase_p4.1.NT-28 and also use the UCM ClearCase-ClearQuest integration take the following steps immediately:
Remove clearcase_p4.1.NT-28 from the release area. Go to the patch directory within the release area, and then run the backout.exe program in that directory. For example:
cd p:\clearcase_4.1\patches\clearcase_p4.1.NT-28
backout.exe
Uninstall ClearCase on any client hosts that have been installed from the patched release area, then reinstall the client hosts from the release area after you complete Step 1.
