Communication Application Note

Note:

Always ensure that when downloading a patch file it is saved to your local drive with the same name as it appears on the patch web pages. For example, we have noticed that on WindowsNT some browsers will restrict downloads of files that contains two dots '.', therefore if trying to download a file called 'patch.tar.Z' the 'Save as' dialog will rename the file to 'patch_tar.Z'. To correctly download, always rename the filename shown in the 'Save as' dialog to the original name, as shown on the patch web page.
