This patch was created to address defect RAMBU00020118. Under certain conditions, data divergence can occur between two ClearQuest MultiSite replicas. In particular, the divergence occurs with schemas that set field values in Action Initialization and/or default value hooks for actions other than the SUBMIT action. If a schema does not contain any such hooks, this patch is not required. If, however, the patch is required, it must be installed on all machines that run ClearQuest MultiSite, including client desktops, Web Servers, and any machines that run MultilUtil to synchronize databases.
This hot fix resolves the problem.
ClearQuest v2001A.04.20 Hot Fix RAMBU00020118 is designed to be installed directly on top of ClearQuest v2001A.04.20. This hot fix comprises this readme file and a self extracting executable. Follow these steps to install the hotfix:
q If the ClearQuest web is installed on your
machine you must ensure that the ClearQuest\WWW folder is not read-only.
q Run the self extracting executable
‘CQ_2001A.04.20_HotFix_RAMBU00020118.exe’.
q Enter the location of your existing ClearQuest or
Rational Suite installation in the ‘Unzip to folder:’ field. Please be sure to
provide the name of the folder that contains
the ClearQuest folder.
q Press the’Unzip’ button to extract the hot fix into
your installation.
No other configuration is necessary. Users may immediately begin running the ClearQuest client.
