Scope

The fix described in this document affects the RequisitePro client only. It addresses a defect in the Database Transport Wizard. This defect causes the loss of saved queries when users transport existing databases to databases of other types, such as from Access to Oracle, or between instances of the same type.

The patch replaces the existing Database Transport Wizard (RqDataTransportWiz.exe) with a new executable.

No changes from base release.

Installation Information

To install the patch, perform the following steps:

1. Manually backup the existing RqDatatransportWiz.exe file that the patch will overwrite. This file’s default location is in the Program Files\Rational\RequisitePro\bin directory. Complying with this directive will ensure that you can quickly restore your system in the event a failure occurs while the patch is installing.

2. Ensure RequisitePro is not running. Unzip the patch file and copy the extracted RqDataTransportWiz.exe file over the existing one.

3. Start RequisitePro. The patch is installed.
