Symbolic links valid on one platform may be invalid on the other platform type
The path specified by the symbolic link must observe these rules
- NT does not support absolute path symbolic links
- NT does support using UNIX directory separators (/)
- UNIX does not support DOS directory separators (\), or DOS drive letters
