This hot fix affects Rational RequisiteWeb 2002r2 (Release 2) on Windows NT 4.0, SP6, NT Option Pack 4. This document describes how to apply the hot fix and replace the current RequisiteWeb program files with repaired files by running the self-extracting executable provided by this hot fix.
- Stop the Internet Services Manager by doing the following:
- Click Start > Settings > Control Panel and select IIS Admin Service and click Stop. You will be asked if it is OK to stop addtional dependent services, including "World Wide Web Publishing Service" and perhaps more, often "FTP Publishing Service". Click Yes (remembering which services you have stopped). Leave the Internet Services Manager open.
NOTE: The RequisiteWeb configuration file, config.txt, will not be modified.
- Replace the current RequisiteWeb program files with repaired files by running the self-extracting executable provided with this Hot Fix (JIntegra_135SB007_SR2.exe). When prompted with "Unzip to folder:", enter or browse to the root install directory for Rational RequisiteWeb (by default "C:\Program Files\Rational"), then click the "Unzip" button. This will overwrite files in the subfolders named "jakarta-tomcat", and "common". It also places a copy of these instructions into the "doc" subfolder.
- Start the Internet Services Manager by doing the following:
- In IIS select the World Wide Publishing Service and click Start. This will automatically cause the "IIS Admin Service" to start. At this time, start any other services (often "FTP Publishing Service") that were stopped earlier.
Defect RATLC00055644: When a user attempts to access the RequisiteWeb login page, the IIS Services cease.
