Changing Views issue: While changing to certain views (“Test Case Procedure” for example), a window pops up stating: ffice The module will not be visible if view “Test Case Procedure” is loaded. Do you want to continue? If I continue, the module closes but when I reopen it, it opens in Test Case Procedure view. Prior to this, I played around with just a few settings in the Manage Views… section. But I set everything back to how it originally was. Also, the settings are exactly the same as other views that do NOT cause this window to pop up. I have DOORS 7.1 Build 71132 Anyone else experience this problem? Possible solutions? |

I am just curious. Are you using DOORS w/any additional add-ons such as TauG2 and such? How was this view created initially?

quote: TauG2 - not to my knowledge. I am a relatively new user, which means I have inherited other peoples' work. I believe there was nothing special done when the view was created. They simply added/removed/relocated columns, created a filter, and saved it as a different View. I did not create this View. Unfortunately, I can't recreate the problem. I merely went into Manage Views... and explored the settings so as to learn what they do. In doing so, I apparently created this odd scenario. |

I just experienced exactly the same error message.
I too an unable to repeat it. I have lodged the problem with support. The following is from DOORS support: Hi Anthony, You might get this error if you have a view saved with the option 'Window size and position checked'. There is a defect that arises when this checkbox is checked that causes the module to be not displayed, as the dialog says, when continue is chosen. We would need your module to confirm this is the case but there is a workaround if you uncheck that view option and resave the view. Our case ID is SH5008721. ------------------------- Tony Goodman http://www.smartdxl.com Edited: 22-Dec-2004 at 12:13 by Tony Goodman |
