How does one go about positioning the cursor/location within a text DBE?
I have a text DBE and when I load the data into it via set (dbeText, tempData) if there is more data than can be shown, I will get the scroll bar, but it is at the top of the text, would prefer to be looking at the data at the bottom of the scroll bar by default. Thanks in advance Frank |

It doesn't appear there is a way to do this. There is a way to set the cursor position to the top of the text box. But not the reverse of that.

I have made an interesting discovery.
I am setting the contents of a richText box to show the Object Text. I am using richTextWithOle() because I want to include pictures etc. The scroll bar is set to the top of the box as expected. Now, I append a plain string to the richText and set the box. This time the scroll bar appears at the bottom. The attached code demonstrates this behaviour. Click on "apply4 and the scroll bar moves to the bottom. Click on apply3 and the scroll bar moves tothe top. The only difference in the callbacks is the addition of a string in the set command. Please excuse the auto-generated GUI code. This also happens with richText() if you surround the call to richText with parentheses. ------------------------- Tony Goodman http://www.smartdxl.com Edited: 21-Feb-2008 at 14:54 by Tony Goodman |

Is this behavior the same what DXL Help tries to describe as:
"If the blinking cursor appears at the end of the text in the box when it is displayed, append "" to the end of the rich text string before passing it to the perm." ------------------------- Pekka.Makinen@softqa.fi SoftQA Oy -http://www.softqa.fi/ Edited: 21-Feb-2008 at 15:24 by Pekka Mäkinen |
