Answer:
You will not be able to update a dialog running in your session from dxl running in another user's session.

The only way that I can think of to pass information from one DOORS session to another is to use config files, or something similar that is stored with the database.
But then you have the problem of polling - there is no mechanism in dxl to run a script in the background at specific intervals.

I would suggest adding a refresh button to your dialog and updating the listbox on demand rather than trying to do it dynamically.

Never dealt with dynamic triggers, although they are good at closing your Dialogs when the original module closes. I should figure that out.

I suppose your dynamic trigger will work so long as each user can activate it himself, via a pull-down: "ShowPaulsGUI.dxl" turns it on; "HidePaulsGUI.dxl" turns it off.

I suspect you want both these triggers to be type "post": hide the icon AFTER the module is closed.
