hi,
i have a folder structure as follow: Testfolder- 010project1 - module 030folder1 - module 060folder2- module 100folder - module i have a script which writes the names (complete including path) of all modules with a specific word in their names to a text file. i am able to get it work. but the problem is the order in which the paths are writte. i need it: Testfolder/010project1/module Testfolder/030folder1/module Testfolder/060folder2/module Testfolder/100folder/module but it is getting written in the following order: Testfolder/060folder2/module Testfolder/010project1/module Testfolder/100folder/module Testfolder/030folder1/module is there a simple trick out there? Can anyone help me out with this. Thanks |

Item order in DOORS is usually based on Item number -- so the solution to sort the objects, can be done by putting the names in a string skip list and then printing from the skip list.
Or you can sort a string array if you prefer. Edited: 29-Sep-2008 at 15:06 by ron lewis |

thanks ron,
infact i was just trying to use skiplists. just came to know that the keys are automatically sorted in a skiplist. |
