Answer:
Hi Robert,

I would suggest to use a combination of following clipboard functions:

bool itemClipboardIsEmpty() ClipEmpty
string clipClear() ClipClear
string clipClear(bool) ClipClearForce
string clipUndo() ClipUndo
string clipPasteAndUpdateReferences(Folder) ClipPasteAndUpdateReferences
string clipPaste(Folder) ClipPaste

string clipCopy(Item) ClipCopy

string clipCut(Item) ClipCut

You may a description in DXL reference manual in chapter "Doors hierarchy/Hierarchy clipboard"

Greetings
Reik

I am trying to copy a project in dxl. My best guess at this point is to use copyhier, but it always returns "false". I assume that means it didn't work, but I can not find any code examples and the reference manual doesn't help much either.

Reik,

Thank you,.

My problem was getting the project reference to be an Item. I kept ending up getting the first module and not the project itself. I now have the correct referencing and the copy / paste is working.

Bob.
