Is there some way to make it so a dialog box is bound to the current modules window. For instance if you move the module window the dialog box is moved with it and if you resize the module window the box is resized as well. Sort of like making another view box within the module window.

I don't think this is possible because there's no way to do a trigger that fires off the moving or resizing of a module window.

You could do some trickery with a timer DBE that would check every 250 ms to see if the module window had moved or resized.

Unfortunately I don't know of any way in dxl to get the position of a module so this approach still won't get you what you want.

Size of a module window can be gotten with:

Module m = current
int x_width = width(window(m));
int y_height = height(window(m));

Just out of curiousity are you trying to hide the current module window and instead present an alternative UI through a DB? If so you might be better off just opening the module as hidden.

I'm trying to replace the left hand object explorer in the module window.

That timer code might work. Could you post an example?
