How do I get my object text to take on the color of an enumerated attribute? I've tried setting different colors,
but my object text remains black. Thanks in advance, Supriya Sharma |

Hi Supriya,
Colours assigned to enumerated list items will only appear if the column that displays the enumerated list is enabled to display colours. Perform a Right Hand mouse click on the column title box above the column that is displaying your enumerated list, and select the Properties option from the pop-up menu. At the bottom of the Column Properties dialogue are some properties that control the displaying of colours - Select the "By Attribute" radio button and then select the name of the attribute that has the enumerated list. Click OK, the colours should now appear. NOTE: As you have effectively modified the properties of a view, you must save the view or these colour properties will revert back to their default settings. If you would like other columns within a view to be the displayed in the same colour as that of an enumerated list, select the desired column title box and repeat the above process. This has to be repeated for all views where you would like this colour feature to work. ------------------------- Paul Miller Specification Practices Specialist, EuroCyber, Melbourne, Australia. Hi Paul,
Thanks for the response. I was able to get the text of a attribute column to take on the colors of its enumeration value after following your solution. What I've not been able to do is to get the text in one column to take on the colors of according to another attribute enumeration value (even through the Column Properties). I think I'm doing this correctly, but still havent' had success. Perhaps I need to call Telelogic and get hand holding here. Supriya |

Hi Supriya,
let me explain it with an example: lets say, you have an attribute "Priority", and you want to display the Main column according to the colors of "Priority", do the following: right hand mouse click on the column title of the Main column and select the Properties option from the context menu. In the column properties dialogue, select the "By Attribute" radio button and then select "Priority" out of the list of attributes. Then, the Main column contents will be displayed according to the colors of your "Priority" enumeration values. Regards Toni |

I finally called up Tech support. Turns out that you cannot get colours from "multi-value" enumerated attributes, which is what I was trying to do.
Thanks for all the replies I got. |
