I was working on a module which seems to have disappeared today. Only I have full access to it and I did not delete it.
Please provide any ideas as to what might have happened. Srinivas |

Maybe you did delete it. Be sure to >>View menu>>Show Deleted Items. Then you'll see it deleted but not purged.
Maybe the admins restored from backup from a few days ago. Maybe you are in the wrong folder. Select the project and try to >>Tools menu >>Find... it. - Louie |

Have you got a Microsoft optical wheel mouse? I have had trouble with two clicks when I only intended one. I cut the whole of para 1.0 from a module once but fortunately it was noticed before saving. The mechanism is that you select a menu item from the menu bar and then click on a menu item and DOORS actions that and the second click actions what was underneath. For example, Select "File"; "Save" and, as well as the save, up pops the print window because the print icon is underneath. Unfortunately the Cut and Delete icons also lay under menu items. If you look at Word you find that the menu items are laid out so that two clicks do not cause the same degee of havoc, hence you don't notice the problem.
I have had two mice. The first was bad, the second is a lot better but not immune from the problem. I think is it to do with how hard you press the mouse button. If you do it too gently you get the problem. Edited: 15-Nov-2004 at 09:23 by Peter Seager |

Don't know squat about how this stuff works, but I DID notice a big difference in two machines that I use: the first recognizes a mouse "click" on the DOWN click side, wherease the 2nd recognizes it on the UP click side. I got used to the first and had no trouble clicking buttons while moving the mouse, but when I use the 2nd system I have to stop the mouse to click, just to be sure the pointer is still over the button when I release the mouse button.
Anyway, I wonder if perhaps your menus might be down-click sensitive while your buttons are up click sensitive: you click slowly on the menu which activates it but the menu disappears by the time you release the mouse, and thus activate the button underneath. - Louie |
