![]() Answer: I had feedback from Telelogic support on this. Apparently this behaviour is normal (not a bug, but a feature :-) ). Nevertheless, I have the need to generate a document with a ToC where the main column is not in the view. Does this mean I have to export to Word and have the ToC generate by Word? Any ideas are welcome. | |

Be aware: when printing with DOORS 7.1, ToC generation only works when the view contains Object Heading and Text. Problem reported to doors support. Waiting for response.

I was too fast in flagging the Telelogic support answer as the answer. The thought that I am not yet completely senile kept nagging at the back of my head, and I therefore checked how it was in DOORS 5.2. Et voila, I found that indeed in DOORS 5.2 I was able to generate (print) documents with ToC from a view NOT CONTAINING the main attribute.
To summarise, it seems that this functionality has changed somwhere between 5.2 and 7.0. Any experience out there with 6 (we never used it seriously)? ------------------------- Pieter de Waard www.nhindustries.com Edited: 24-May-2004 at 12:08 by Pieter DE WAARD |
