Every day when I start DOORS, I'm asked what access to local drives to allow. I always select full access and "Never ask this question again for this server". If I login again that day, the question is not asked. However, the next day when I login, I'm asked the question again.

Please let me know how to permenently set this selection.

Thanks!

This is a Citrix thing, not a DOORS thing.

What's going on is that when you select the DOORS icon in the Citrix page, you actually log into a Citrix server and there initiate DOORS. The Citrix server is cleverly set up such that its drives can be mapped back to the original client drives (i.e. drives on your PC) so that you can do things like save DOORS reports on your clients.

I used to get that but don't recall what I did, if anything, to stop it. Its possible the new Citrix stopped doing that.

If it happened to me now I'd be tempted to attempt to manually map Citrix drives to your Client, permamantly. Once in DOORS (in Citrix), Tools menu >>Edit DXL ... type this in then hit [Run]:

system "explorer.exe"

That will open Windows Explorer in Citrix. Right click on 'My Computer' (mine looks like 'landalo on RssCitrix-001', select 'map network, ... and then go from there attempting to map a drive to your '\\Client\C$' drive.

To disable this message:

1) Launch DOORS
2) CITRIX icon will appear in the status bar (near the clock)
3) Double click on CITRIX icon (look for red circle) and choose Security Settings. From here you can choose your from several operations on how CITRIX will interact with the application.

To disable this message ( and change other options ):

1. Launch DOORS
2. CITRIX icon will appear in the status bar. Look for a red icon.
3. Select CITRIX icon and choose Security Settings. Now, from here, you can modify the CITRIX behavior on how it interacts with applications

EDIT: Doh! When running citrix Seamlessly, I do indeed see the Citrix Icon in MY application tray, near the clock.

Louie, just out of curiosity do you have dual monitors set up with the desktop exteneded to the second monitor?

If so, when running DOORS through Citrix seamlessly do you have problems dragging DOORS windows to the second monitor?

Wondering if this is just a Citrix thing or if our IT did something funky in the setup/install, 'cause they don't seem to have an answer.

@Scott:

I currently use dual-monitors. The only time I experience your described annoying problem is when both monitors have different resolutions when I use DOORS via CITRIX.

Running DOORS locally on dual-monitors where each monitor has different resolutions has no problem.
