So if I'm reading this write you want to display the symbol if an inlink is not coming from an object in a particular module. In that case:

Hi David,

Yes, you are reading it right - thanks for the code.

I'm pretty new with DXL, but I think I understand what you've done.  I am now just having trouble specifying the part.

I've tried the actual name of the module, I've tried defining the name as a string and substituting the string minus the quotes, but I still get errors:

-E- DXL: incorrect arguments for (!=)

-E- DXL: incorrect arguments for (if)

Am I using the right syntax?  Does it matter that the module is in a different folder within the project?

Thanks again,
Jacqueline

You cannot compare a string with a buffer directly, you need to use the stringOf function.

Thanks Tony. I guess I forgot to include that. It was late in the day friday. Jacqueline, Tony's fix should make it work.

Thanks Tony,

We are so almost there...

I got the code to check ok, but now, I get a runtime error stating that I have an unassigned variable (o) on every other line.  I'm perplexed.  Am I missing something obvious here?

Hi Jacqueline,

'o' is the Object you want to check for in links.
In your original posting you have not specified which Object this should be ;-)

If it should be the Object in currently evaluated row (layout DXL) it is 'obj' so the code will become.
The additionally all statement will allow you to see baselined in links to. I f you leave it out you will see only links from current to current version of module.

Hope that helps you a little bit,
Greetings
Reik

Hi Reik,

Thanks very much for your reply.  I can get the code to work, but doing it this way, I display 1 symbol for each link of a given object.  My intention is to display just one symbol if the object has any number of in-links except from that one test module.

We are getting so close...

Jacqueline
