I have a number of users with Doors 5.2 running on W2k with SP3 and SP4. The users cannot have Local Admin access and the PC's SP4 are returning the error:

'The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022)'

Those with SP3 are working fine.

I know it's an old version and I know I could rebuilt the PC's with SP3. but can anyone offer a solution which would allow Doors 5.2 to run under Win2k SP4 please?

I've already tried all the usual: giving full access to the telelogic dir structure.

thanks

Just an ignorant stab-in-the-dark, but perhaps DOORS was loaded BEFORE you upgraded some of the clients to sp4. If so, perhaps reloading DOORS would help.

Thanks Louie.

The PC's have a mix of SP3 and SP4, but DOORS gives this error on first load, I haven't upgraded the SP on any of the machines after DOORS was loaded.

Telelogic have just suggested re-installing DOORS outside the Program Files dir. Sounds plausable so I'll give it a go.

Reinstalling the software to the root has made no difference. I'm beginning to wonder if the access issue is one of the DLL's in system32 rather than the DOORS software itself.

I'll keep working on it ...
