![]() Answer: Yes, you have to edit the layout DXL created by the wizard. Layout DXL is the term used for DXL used in columns to display dynamic data. This is usually for traceability columns. Do a right-click on the column header and select Properties. This dispays the "Edit Column" dialog. Notice that the "Layout DXL" radio button is selected. This shows that the column contains DXL. Click on the Browse button. This launches the "DXL Browser" dialog. Click on the "Current" button. This displays the "Edit Layout DXL" dialog. Copy all the DXL code from here and paste into a new file. You can edit the DXL to do what you wish and test it by pasting it back into the column. I can recommend using Crimson Editor. Don't forget to download the syntax files so that builtin functions and types are coloured. Spend some time looking at posts on this forum - there are numerous examples of good advice. Bad news is that the only way to get to grips with DXL is to get stuck in and do lots of it. Best of luck! | |

I have been creating views using the analysis wizard and I was wondering if it is possible to change the order in which attributes are displayed. For example, Heading always comes before the Object Identifier - is there any way of changing this?
Many thanks, Amy |

Many thanks Tony - you're a star!
I've got it to work (hurray!), and now I think I ought to have a play with some other bits and bobs in DXL. Be prepared for lots more silly questions.
Anyone got any pointers for getting DOORS formatting right in Word?
Cheers,
Amy
