Hi, is there a way to start Doors in an interactive Batchmode? I would like to type the username, or at least the password manually. Saving both in a .bat-File, or typing it in plaintext into the cmd is neither what i want do do. regards Michael

No, it is not possible of starting the DOORS in batch mode so that it asks for username / password. What I have done is to set the access rights for the directory containing startup batch file so that only administrative users have access to the batch file.

Thanks for the reply, but that does not work for me, because i do not work as administrative user. And even if i would, storing a password in plain text is a mortal sin anyway. It seems that i have to use a vbs-call. Then it is not the batch mode, but it cann call a Skript automatically. And the standard Login-Screen is used.

There is third party software that can compile a batch file into an executable.

I had some success with an Icon on my Desktop that looks like this:

"C:\Program Files\Telelogic\DOORS 7.1\bin\doors.exe" -d 37777@dsms2l00059923 -D "ack(\"Hello\")"

Key feature is the "-D" switch; run DXL after startup.

Doors started, I logged in, then the Hello ack was displayed. There must be some sort of "doors exit" command you could use, I just don't recall its name.
