Hi, All,

I have a trigger that works great when the user has access to the path the dxl code resides in. But when the user can't access that path, the trigger would fail to execute and give the user a dxl error.

How can I fix this? Is there a way to make sure the trigger gets executed no matter what? Can we use dxl to map a drive? How can we deal with password authentication for mapping that drive?

Thanks!
Catherine

Catherine,

I assume the DXL is on a network drive (or equivalent). All DXL that I have written which is then executed by a Trigger, I have placed into a sub-directory of the DOORS Installation eg. :

c:\Program Files\Telelogic\DOORS\lib\dxl\Triggers

This works fine, but does then have the issue of how to maintain DXL which is loaded on numerous PCs.

Also I will have to ask all users to copy it to their local drive.

Thanks!

The way we handle that one is we package up any updated DXL into a ZIP file including the complete path to the file, and pass it to our IT Administrator, who then performs a remote update on all the PCs.

Unfortunately we don't get that kind of support from our IT. Does anyone have any other ways of solving this problem?

Thanks!
