The following is a kitchen script that creates a DXl template file from the current module.

Don't confuse DOORS templates with "real" templates.
A DOORS template merely contains the heading structure, hence the very simple syntax of template DXL. If you want to create a more complex template that defines attributes, views etc then you need to write DXL to do this. We use XML for exporting and importing DOORS data, but that may be a bit over the top for what you want. Might I suggest that the best solution would be to generate DXL code instead of XML. This DXL could then be run to create the views/attributes you need. If I have time I'll try to bash out an example of what I mean. ------------------------- Tony Goodman http://www.smartdxl.com |

You could try 'cloning' a module. This allows you to copy any or all of
attributes, attribute definitions, veiws and headings. ------------------------- Hazel Woodcock |

Hazel's solution is the best. Sometimes I get so caught up in using DXL that I forget to look at what you can do with the DOORS GUI anyway.
