Hello,

I have a question with reference to DOORS 7.1 and SQL-Server.

Does anybody know if there is a possibility to export data from
DOORS directly into a MS SQL database?

I know that I can first export it into an Excel file and then import
it into the MS SQL database. But I would prefer to do that in one step.

I hope that you can help me.

Best regards,
Lars

Hi Lars,

would think about two possebilities:

  • Use OLE to connect via ODBC - refer here or here [/li]
  • create an executable SQL-script and run it with command line interface to MS SQL database

I think the second suggestion is easier to implement and should be much faster. You need to write to a text file and execute an external command line ....

I hope that helps you a littel bit.

Greetings
Reik

Would be nice if the posts had not been taken down...seems like Telelogic is trying to suppress the wealth of knowledge that is offered by this forum.

Do you happen to have a copy of what was displayed on the other posts?

Thanks in advance

It is not the posts that had been taken down, but rather the forum which has been moved to a different server. Whenever you encounter one of those broken links, it is sufficient to modify the link target address by replacing "https://support.telelogic.com/en/doors/forums/" by "https://forum.telelogic.com/customer/doors/".

The two posts still exist here and here.

Regards,

Peter
