![]() Answer: Hi Ludwig, This is a known issue with Microsoft. If you try to insert JPG OLE object in Word or WordPad you will notice that you get the same result. We started encountering this problem when we upgraded from Microsoft Office 2002 to 2003. Our workaround to this problem was to install Microsoft Photo Editor which Microsoft replaced with Picture Manager. Once you associate your JPG files with Photo Editor you should see your OLE objects appear as a picture instead of an icon. I hope that helps. -- Jesse | |

When I insert a .jpg-picture as OLE-object it is only displayed as symbol in the view, although the option 'as symbol' wasn't selected.
But at a collegues PC, the inserted .jpg-file is viewable as picture, although he takes the same options like me at the OLE-insertion. It is important to have the jpg-file as viewable picture inside the Database and not as symbol, because of later following customized exports to MSWord. Furthermore I'd like to avoid other programms to be started for watching Pictures in the DOORS-database. Ludwig Voigt |
