We don't know who is designated as System administrator for DOORS.
Can we create new ?
We require this to create new logins.

DOORS comes with a system administrator account built in.
Login as "Administrator".

After logging in for the first time, create a new user, make him a database manager, then log-out and only use the Administrator account again in case of emergencies.

Your new user, if he is set as a datbase manager can do all the things you will need to do such as create users, projects etc.

If you have forgotten the password for Administrator then you have to contact Telelogic. They have a procedure that allows you to reset the password

Enhancing Goodman's response...

We never used it, but I believe that procedure to get the Administrator's Password requires you to start DOORS in a particular manner, DOORS displays some code and prompts you for a reply-code. Keep DOORS waiting for your response, contact Telelogic to get their response, then enter the data. If you exit DOORS while waiting for Telelogic you are out of luck. Only someone on the Telelogic-contract can make that request. That's my understanding.

The 'Administrator' is user ID #1, but its not accessible from any other user. The 'Administrator' automatically has full RMCDA access to everything in the database; except as it turns out for some views due to a bug they've now fixed in v8.1.

The creation of a few users with "Manage Database" capabilities is a mandatory idea. Use the "type" field of the "General" tab of the create-user or edit-user dialog. The main difference between Users with Manage Database capabilities and the 'Administrator', is that anyone who can modify access can deny any DB Manager access to things; thus you can be a DB Manager and not see some projects.
