Here's an include file with a bunch of functions for driving Excel through DXL. Some of it comes from Michael Sutherland's Excel Exporter so don't think I'm stealing his code and not giving him credit. Just thought I'd share so you have this in addition to Reik's file.

You'll have to take off the 1 at the end of the first and third files. The forums added that since I screwed up uploading them. All three files are needed. Change the include paths as you want for the excel functions.

David,

Thanks for the credit. I'm glad you found portions of the "Enhanced Export to Excel" useful and reusable.

Hi David,

I have one suggestion to your code:
To create a progress bar without having a dialog box is much easier if you are using
dbExplorer
This is the main dialog box of DOORs and should be available everytime DOORs is started

As addon you will find attached an extracted constants file for MS Office Applications ....

Greetings
Reik

P.S.: These files are created directly from the API-IDL, which can be saved with oleView.exe from "Windows Resource Kit Tools" --> If you have much time, you could convert the IDL file into an Doors include ( I have done this with perl for the constants only )

Wouldn't an issue with using dbExplorer as the dialog box to base the progress bar off of be that the progress bar might be hidden behind the currently open module.

Thanks for the tip and the constants files. I've modified the ole.inc file quite heavily with new variables but there's always more.
