Folks,

DOORS once again lost hours of my work. Below is Chris' evaluation. I have no way of knowing which of the alternatives he selected is right, I only know that I can't use DOORS without it crashing and Chris decided that my analysis was wrong.
Regardless of Chris' analysis, Excel manages to run even with the problem without crashing and losing data.
I also don't know how to "hunt down malware" I run adaware and spybot from time to time.

You have been selected by Chris as someone who can help with this.

At this point DOORS is counterproductive. I'm not using it anymore.

Alan

The logical alternatives are:
a. DOORS is breaking itself and Excel - call Telelogic and complain
b.There is some reasonable change that you , not some mal-ware, or IT is making to the registry but excel and DOORS both have weaknesses that allow the change to break them - Call Telelogic and Bill
c. Some malware is breaking windows and DOORS and Excell are being broken - hunt down the malware
d. IT is loading something that breaks excel annd doors - Keep IT informed.

a & b seem least probable.

If you say so

Alan,
Your causal analysis is in error. Whatever is changing the registry is breaking the pull down menu and also breaking doors.

I used DOORS again, it blew up again.
Each time this happens I have to go change a Microsoft Excel registry entry, because a popup menu that I don't use doesn't have a feature that I don't need. Then I lose all of my toolbar cutomizations.
