hi,all.
now , I import a word document to doors using following way: 1. convert doc file to rtf file 2. using function "importRTF" , import the rtf to doors the problem is : 1. the figure(.vsd) in rtf file ,then imported to doors , it becomes OLE , but , when I edit the OLE object in doors , I can not edit it . the system note "This OLE object is a static metafile and cannot be active", I want to edit , how to do . 2. the table in rtf file ,then import do doos , it becomes doors table, i do not want it , want the table is also OLE in doors, and can be edit . Is there some way to solve this problem . thanks |

This is a good guess: you need to modify your RTF file before importing it.
[1] I think if you select the *.vsd file and 'cut' it, then paste-special it as an embedded word diagram, the VSD part will be embedded inside an OLE. When you activate it in DOORS it will invoke Word, and when you activate it in word it should invoke Visio. [2] Select the Word table and cut it. Likewise paste-special as an MS-Word diagram. Edit it in Word to reduce margins etc to fit. Then import it. Big tables need to be broken up, no longer than about 3/4 of a page long each. - Louie |
