When I attempt to access the Help>Contents and Index or Help>DXL Reference Manual in DOORS, I get a 404 Page Not Found error. It used to work before I changed servers. What is the source of this problem? Is it something I can fix or does it have to do with the server itself?

Thanks,

The help files are installed on your client.
Check that the following files exist, and you can read them, on your local machine:

C:\Program Files\Telelogic\DOORS 7.1\help\doors.chm
C:\Program Files\Telelogic\DOORS 7.1\help\dxl.chm

Rita,

I had the same problem many months ago, and tracked it down to the fact that:

The Microsoft Security Update 896358 restricts execution of HTML Help files to the local machine zone.

Michael, I don't know if this is the answer to your question, but you might try going to the shortcut properties for the DOORS executable and get %DOORSHOME% from the Target: (It is everything before the doors.exe excluding the " " marks) then go from there to the .chm fiiles. create a shortcut to each of them and replace the Start in: to a directory on your local machine (a temp folder will do). This should allow them to execute on your machine rather than the server. This solution is not as good as simply going to the help menu, but you should be able to start the help. Don Fowler
