Recently, I have been experiencing trouble with a particular table (1200 cells) in one of my DOORS 8.1 formal modules. This module was one among many migrated from DOORS 6.0 to DOORS 8.1. The table is huge. When I try navigate to it in DOORS 8.1, it hangs. Is there any way to circumvent this issue? Your input would be much appreciated. Thank you. |

Hi Pranav,
Is the Table in question an OLE object or a Native DOORS Table?
In case it is an OLE you may like to remove it and re insert the OLE object from the original source and see if the problem persists.

Hi Madhubanti,
Thank you for your response to my post. The table I am referring to is a native DOORS table. It is created by a DXL script that defines the following: - The insertion point of the table in the module - The population of each cell as it is being generated. I have tried deleting the table and regenerating it a few times - both of which consumes a lot of the computer processing power. But the issue of DOORS hanging when navigating to this table does not disappear. Regards, Pranav |

A table that size is unmanageable.
I would recommend splitting the table out into a separate module and using attributes instead of columns. This will be much easier to maintain. ------------------------- Tony Goodman http://www.smartdxl.com |
