As of late, it seems I have good luck. Whenever I post a message here I usually find out the answer minutes later.

It seems the only way I am able to do this is with the Regexp data type.

The below code will simply print all the group names in the database.

Group group
string foo
Buffer b = create

// for each group in database print out name
for group in groupList do
{
foo = group.name
b += foo "\n"
}

print b ""
delete(b)



Simple enough, eh? However, want I to do is if a group name contains certain characters/another string value then do a special action. What DXL functions would you recommend using to accomplish this task?

From looking through the DXL manual I found contains but it doesn't seem to be what I am looking for.
