Hello all,

DOORS hides the Row & Column Headers of an Excel OLE object.
When I double click into the Excel OLE and verify extras-options-view options the Row & Column Headers option is already SET. It seems that DOORS cuts Row & Column Headers independently from that EXCEL option.

Does anybody know how to display EXCEL Row & Column headers in a Formal Module?

BTW: what is the best practice for the use of tables in DOORS (creation, editing, ...)?:
- WORD OLE
- EXCEL OLE
- DOORS Tables
- Anything else
Word Tables are a bit clumsy to create within DOORS (create Word OLE, within the OLE, create a table) but once edited, they seem to be easier to edit.

Thanks in advance

I've found DOORS tables the easiest to work with after they are setup. They export to word well and can be linked from individual cells. They cause a problem when filtering because only the cells matching the conditions of the filter will display. You may consider that if you need to search for data in a table the only way is with DOORS tables as the find function can only look at objects not oles. The down side of DOORS tables is they can be a bear to setup.

Not sure what you're referring too, column headers, in excel. If you're saying the reference letters and numbers than you may be out of luck. I've got several small spreadsheets in one of our modules and can't get anything to display except data in the cells. We put our header thought is cells so you may consider that.

I just talked with a DOORS representative and he told me, that there is a defect, which he will forward to the developers.
If you insert an empty line before you insert the table, you will be able to see the row and column headings.
After playing around a little, for me Excel Tables work best within DOORS.
Any other thoughts appreciated of course.
