Watch out for a DOORSnews announcement about support for SAN in the next week or 2 - make sure you are subscribed. There is a link on the support site to subscribe -

Just curious, I know at this point in time Telelogic technically doesn't support this kind of setup, but we've heard that there are organizations using SAN drives to house their DOORS data.

Anyone having any issues doing this? Any hints/tips/do's and don'ts??

We've been running DOORS (currently 7.1) on an attached SANS drive for about 3 years now. In fact we're moving the 45+ gig DB to a new virtual server with v8.3 this weekend which also runs a SANS disk. We've been running a dev/UAT box on the same configuration for the last 2 months.

One of my IT guys has been talking with Telelogic on this and supposedly Telelogic is in the process of updating their installation documention for DOORS to include SAN drive deployments.
