Is it possible to import objects (using the spreadsheet option) from one module to another and keep the same Object ID? I thought I had done this before in DOORS 6, but now (DOORS 7) the import creates new Object IDs. Was something changed or did I not understand how it used to work?

More importantly, is there ways to maintain the Object IDs when importing?

Sincerely,
Unobservant

If the absolute number is one of the spreadsheets columns you can import-spreadsheet using that column as the "key" (I think this is the 3rd screen in the process). For any row, if the Absno exists in the module then THAT object will be updated with the information on that row.

I don't recall what happens if the Absno does NOT exists in the module, but I'm confident it does NOT create an object with that exact absno.

The import-spreadsheet with Absno option works best when the spreadsheet was originally exported from that same module.
