Does anyone have a script that can export to the Open Office document format? We need to make reports quickly and the Word export is simply not cutting it. Also I do not want to start with RTF tags - when we are sure to move to the open document formats soon.....
If not I'll just have to make one from scratch....

Thanks,
Andreas

You may want to search this forum for how to increase the speed of word export.

That may give you a better solution than another exporter.

Andreas,

I'm also trying to do some basic connectivity to openopffice.

One thing I can't figure out is that creating a new document, and many other functions actually, take arguments as a parameter. I don't know how to pass arguments from DXL to Writer.

I'm able to create a Desktop object, but cannot get loadComponentFromURL to work. The syntax for loadComponentFromURL is:

objDesktop.loadComponentFromURL("private:factory/swriter", "_blank", 0, arg())

Does anyone know how I can pass a blank "arg()" from DXL? A null string doesn't cut it....

I did a little more research and found the Bridge_GetStruct function. You can get an Ole Object from it, so I specified the com.sun.star.beans.PropertyValue "object"/struct, but still nothing.

This shouldn't be so hard.
