Answer:

Easiest way is to make a copy of the table -- then delete cells from each table to end up with resulting two tables.

Gr8! And I even found a way to remove the duplicate parts easily: with the F4 key - much better then selecting the Table->Delete->Row menu a few hundred times... Thanks.
