Is there a way to put my DXL scripts on the server so that all users can use them?

The thread "Use of Include" has a lot of discussion on that topic. Each user will need to update their DOORS.ini (doors v5) or Registry for their "addins" variable, which will point to the deployed location on the network.

Every time you open a module visibly the DXL folder hierachy is read to build the menus. That means if the Network is slow people will HATE using your DXL since they will have to wait several extra seconds every time they open a module.

This is another advantage of using doors via citrix, you have control of all the clients.

Other options are to use a module containing the code and either a run time dialogue box that builds from the code in the module (this is what we do) or consider using a short term trigger (say for a couple of weeks after each update) that will check the local menu structure and update from the dxl module if the structure needs it.

Graham,

Can you please elaborate on your statement of "This is another advantage of using doors via citrix, you have control of all the clients."

Also, you said "use a module containing the code and a run time dialogue box that builds from the code in the module " Do you have an example of what you are talking about? I just want to be sure I understand what you are saying.

Thanks.
