![]() Answer: FYI: I got this from Telelogic Support: The difference in sizes is caused by our different use of rich text between versions of DOORS. In DOORS 8.x we use unicode. After saving a module in DOORS 8.x we would expect to see some difference in the size of modules. We have no known problems with data being discarded after migration from v7 to v8. | |

Hi there,
While testing DOORS 8.1 before we upgrade I've noticed some differences in the archive size of my projects. For instance, a project archive that is 658 MB in 7.1 is 20 MB lighter when archived from 8.1. I'm noticing with most of my projects the size decreases 2-4%. Is the new archive utility more streamlined or is data lost with the upgrade? I am currently checking the modules to see if any OLE objects have been lost. Anyone else notice similar results in their archives? Thanks in advance for your help, ;.) Nols ------------------------- Nolita C.
