![]() Answer: Arlene, This thread covers some of the issues involved in upgrading from 5.2 to 7.x. We have found you can skip running the "moduleMigrator.dxl" after the D5.x to D6.x conversion, but you do need to open and save the modules once after the D6 to D7 conversion, which is what the module migrator does. D7 requires updated licenses from Telelogic, and uses an updated version of FLEXlm and an updated "telelogic" vendor daemon. If you convert your database in place, and don't use archive/restore, user permissions should be preserved. | |

Hi,
I am currently trying to find out what has to be done to our 5.2 database and clients to allow us to upgrade to 7.0. I have looked at the Telelogic installation guide for 7.0 but the information on upgrading doesnt tell me everything. Does anyone know is there a defined process anywhere on their website for migrating i.e. it includes running the 'modulemigrator.dxl', opening and closing modules, client pc changes, licensing issues, user permissions etc....... Thanks Arlene |
