Currently I have a LayoutDXL script that does the following;

1. The User Inserts a Start-Date
2. The User Inserts an End-Date
3. The DLX Script generated a red-line delta between the Object Text on each date.
4. User extracts a Word RTF file for analysis.

This LayoutDXL currently works only within the baseline module opened.

Is there a way to parse/open/view all history records from the birth of the requirement to the current date spanning multiple baselines?

You can loop through the "Baseline"s of a module and open them. You can then search for an object in the baseline that has the same absolute number as the original object. You can then search that object's history.

This is not a good choice for a layout. Consider just dumping the results to a file.

Welcome Back.

That "Object object(int i, Module m)" command exists in v6, where it only worked on the current display set. I hate it when that happens. Don't recall what would happen if you open the module invisible. That makes it pretty useless. Don't know if they fixed it for v7.

Anyway, you'd still have to open the baseline and search for the object, even if you do use that "object" command.

Yes. I have an example history script posted to the downloads area of my web site.

Thanks Michael, That works well for giving the full history for a given item and I can use your code, I hope, as a starting point. I want to be able to create a report that gives the history across all baselines of a module for all records. Basically to have each change as a column in a view would be ideal.
