Hello,
My concern is:
I want to ensure that users can create objects in a module ONLY through the DXL scripts available to them (eg: through menu) that perform other consistency operations.
If I limitate the user access for this module (Eg: Read and not Create), the users can not create directly the objects, but neither the DXL script as it run in the same context.
Can I set in the script commands to modify temporarily the context (sort of "setuid"), then come back when work is done?
Or another way for this kind of situation?
Thanks in advance

I see the following options.
1. Let the users create objects normally. Administrative pers review data on a schedule. "Teach" the users the rules. Define attributes as tightly as possible - ie enumerations, etc.
2. Modify the Telelogic menu structure. You will need to know dxl and devise a method of setting up each user to use the modified scripts.
3. If a module is tightly controlled - use some form of Change Proposal System (manual, using the basic CPS with DOORS, use another tool, write your own functions)

My preference would be 1 then 3 and finally 2.

Try creating a permanent attribute pre-save trigger that stops the user from being able to edit the module, then have your menu based programs temporarily remove the trigger?

Thank you all,
your suggestions are very good, I guess I will try to implement a kind of mix of these.
