Hi,
I want to copy some objects from one module to another, but I also want the objects to be the same. I.e. if I change the text in one module I want it to change in the other module. Does this make sense and is it possible? Basically, I have 2 documents that need some of the same information in them. I don't want to have to change the 2 documents if that information changes. Thanks in advance! |

Hi Jo,
there is no out-of-the-box mechanism for what you want to achieve. My first thought of a solution would be along the line of creating links between the matching objects in the two modules and using a trigger to update one module based on the content of the other. Peter |

Hello Joe,
as Peter said, use the a link. If you want to see the object text, you can have a tractability column. The tractability column displays the object text of the link target or source. If you need more information, just ask. Edited: 23-Sep-2008 at 14:52 by J. Lamm |
