I am using DOORS 7.1 and WEXP.  In the Object Text there are lists that use either bullets created using the DOORS toolbar or rich text numbering (achieved using Ctl-Shift-L) but neither will appear in Word when using WEXP.  I have tried two methods:

<<Object Text:keepFormat>>   <<Object Text:richText>>

Neither one of these will keep any formating - even bold fonts

Anyone out there who has experienced this? Is it any better with 8.1? (yes, I know we should upgrade - that battle is being fought)

Thanks,

Rob Kohl

Which version of WEXP are you using?

I've not encountered this issue with the version of WEXP I have (don't currently recall it, sorry) and DOORS 7.1.

Your observation is correct, bullet lists are not exported as bullet lists. My workaround is to use the "Paragraph Style" attribute to assign bullet list styles in the exported file. There you can choose if you want to use bullet or numbered lists, though I remember that it was a nightmare to set up a style which correctly re-started the numbering for the latter.

This is very interesting...I thought I had some bulleted list in my WEXP exports.

What if you import a Word document that uses bullets and capture the paragraph style, then WEXPort?

If you capture the paragraph style in the "Paragraph style" attribute and re-export with WEXP, and if the appropriate style exists in the template, the paragraph should of course be bulleted again.
