hi.
I'm not finding any of the basic string manipulation functions that I'm used to -- splitting a string into tokens, cleaning up leading and trailing whitespace, etc...
I can write this stuff myself but it seems like the kind of thing that's probably been done a hundred times. Is there a commonly used set of libraries out on the 'net somewhere for this kind of thing?
thanks in advance.

Chris, a trim function and several other useful functions are included in the solutions to exercises for the DXL class. I know there are other, more comprhensive sources, but this is a good starting point for simple functions.

Chris,
There is a Trim() function located in the following DXL library: $DOORSHOME\lib\dxl\example\dxllim.dxl ------------------------- Michael Sutherland michael@galactic-solutions.com http://galactic-solutions.com |

I tried to attach an include file with a lot of utilities to this post, but am getting an error. Send me an email at shawn.e.stepper@wellsfargo.com and I can send it to you.
In the meantime, here is a split function that works on several types. ------------------------- Shawn Stepper shawn.e.stepper@wellsfargo.com |
