DBs only make sense interactively. I suspect displaying them requires "GUI" that is NOT loaded when running in Batch mode. Having said that, I've noticed that "ack" and "infobox" commands, when run in batch, end up like "print" statements.

If you have a scripts that requires user input then you might as well write is as a normal script, and expect the user to manually enter DOORS and invoke it from there. In fact, I'll be you must do it that way.

I also suppose you can find some way to have your batch program "invoke" the correct DOORS *.dxl files found in its directories; good luck. Such a scheme may look like the following:

$include <config\formal.dxl>
$include <some other DOORS dxl files>
// body of my batch code.

Hi,

The function call you need is as follows:

Declaration

void baseWin(DB box)

Operation

This function is for use only in batch mode.
Displays the dialog box and suspends execution of the DXL program. Execution continues in callbacks from the buttons on the dialog box. No code should be placed after a call to baseWin, because it would never be executed.

You use it in exactly the same way as you would show, you can put a realize before the basewin also if required.

Hope this Helps
