I hope someone may be able to answer my question as it is kicking my @%& at the moment.

I have a DXL attribute that, ideally, should return the value of an enumerated attribute of the object that is linked to the local object.  I have investigated the script and found that I can get values for other attributes of the linked object by changing the attribute name in the function:

probeRichAttr_(linkedObj, attribute name, false)

I can even get values from other enumerated attributes of the linked object.

Furthermore, when I run the same function on locally on the module containing the linked object, I can retrieve the enumerated value.

It is only when I try to get the value remotely.

Has anyone experienced this type of problem and come up with a solution?

Odd. Some basic things to check:

[] Have you loaded the linked module?

[] Does the NameAttr actually exist in the linked module; specifically checking for invisible trailing spaces in the name and specifically checking that you are not searching in the original module?

[] Is the same User looking locally as looking remotely (i.e. linked user may not have read rights)?

[] Is the attribute defined for objects? .. or just for the module?
