Hi,

Does anyone have any DXL scripts that can export DOORS Attributes to a Word table?

I'm thinking the pseudocode is probably something like below. I want the script to run through every object in a module and create multiple tables in Word depending on what the attribute value, one table per type of attribute value.

For every object o
If o.attr_a == "something"
export to wordDoc.tableA.rowA.colB.cell

If someone has a script that I can as a starting point that would be great! Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,
Michelle

Michelle,

It may be easier to use the built in DOORS export to Word using the Table layout option rather than scripting this.

First, arrange your view in the module with the attributes you want to see. Then sort on the attribute you are using as your key. Then do the export to Word with the table layout.

Then in Word just split the table using the Split Table function (under the Table Menu) where your key value changes.
