I understand, The DOORS email is "Plain Text" , But I would want the DOORS object URLs to appear as hyperlinks in Outlook. I dont like to copy the url from email and paste that into browser to open a module :-( . I am struggling with DXL and developing a code to display Object URL as hyperlink in email. Anyone tried already? If yes, could you provide some easiest way to do that? Any help appreciated.

When you copy the URL in DOORS and have Outlook set to create HTML emails, then you can insert a hyperlink (using the menu function).
Set the file type to (other) and paste the copied URL into the hyperlink text field. schmitch@ing.boehringer-ingelheim.com |

He's wanting to do this with DXL. Not manually.
We've said the many times this has been asked that you can do this if you drive Outlook via DXL through OLE. If you do a search for outlook you should find an example on driving Outlook with DXL. That is the only way to do this. You CAN NOT do it with the sendEmailMessage or sendEmailNotification functions. ------------------------- David Pechacek AAI Services Textron dpechacek@sc-aaicorp.com David.Pechacek@gmail.com |
