Is there any way to check the version of DOORS on the server, without actually starting the DOORS client on the server?

Thanks but that requires me to be logged onto the server or have access to the area the DOORS server is installed in. Our IT is oursourced and I do not have physically access to the servers, so cannot use this method.

Hi Richard,
so I could give you only one hint more : You could use DXL (but only on a running Client ;( ) print serverMajorProtocolVersion_":"serverMinorProtocolVersion_"\n" But I do not really know, how these protocol versions are matching to server versions ... sorry. Thanks, that helps.
7:4 appears to be DOORS Version 7 patch 7, or build 71147 7:2 appears to be DOORS Version 7 patch 5, or build 71127 So the minor version may the part after 711, but then again. Edited: 16-Jan-2006 at 16:31 by Richard Stedham |
