Just curious if there is way to create my own combo box to be placed on one of the button bars in a formal module.
I know I have to edit the formal.dxl file to change the button bar. It's the creation of the combo box that has me stumpped. I found the perm createCombo ({linksetCombo|viewCombo}), but that doesn't allow you to insert your own defined combo box. The DBE choice perm is the only other combo box that I know of, but this needs to be inserted into a Dialog Box. I would like to define a combo box/choice box and insert it onto one of the modules button bars.....any ideas? ------------------------- Scott Boisvert Engineering Tools Administrator L-3 Communications - Avionics Systems scott.boisvert@l-3com.com |

Don't think you can do it.
The problem is that, unlike the database explorer, the formal module window is not constructed using DXL, so there is no way to get a handle on the parent dialog. You can add menu options and you can add buttons, but you can't add DBE elements. There is also the restriction that, although you can add your own buttons, you cannot define your own icons for them, so that's pretty useless as well. I am afraid you are stuck with adding the functionality to a menu option. ------------------------- Tony Goodman http://www.smartdxl.com |
