As paradoxical as it sounds, we need to set up a database wide Header/Footer format for all our documents, which will allow us the freedom to input various entries for each field.
We need Version No., Date, Title, ECO #, Page No. and Page Count. This is NOT a title page, but it's the Header/Footer for each DOORS spec we print out. In other words, while the format is uniform for every specification, the fields would be fillable/editable by the author. ------------------------- He who would swap his freedom for the promise of security deserves neither. |

Alice, are you talking about header/footerin a word export, or else just using the DOORS print routines?

in HELP, under Creating Page Setups, you have all these variable codes, but we want our own.
The problem is,
We want to print OUR Project name on every doc: CSElite
We want to have a standard layout that will hold OUR specification name, which differs from specification to specification, in other words a similar variable to those shown here, but I think it would require a DXL adaptation. So we would have ONE Standard Layout, but the user would enter the ECO no., the Version number of the document, not the module......things that are NOT DOORS-related.
How do I do that?
Thanks
Alice Brown
