Hi,
I am the new admin of an old database. There is lot of stupid stuff in it I have to delete/purge. But some projects/folder have only read permissions for everyone, not else. I cannot change permissions or sth. else with these objects. How to correct this ? Reiner |

Hi Reiner
I believe that the only way you can correct this is to login as user = Administrator. The Adminstrator is the only user that can override all permission settings. If you don't know the Administrator password, you will need Telelogic to assist. ------------------------- Paul Miller Specification Practices Specialist, EuroCyber, Melbourne, Australia. Hi Paul
Thanks for reply. I logged in as Administrator, but there are deleted folders I am not allowed to see or change properties, not allowed to purge ... There are empty projects I can´t delete. I may grant rights to other real users for this projects, but tey aren´t allowed to delete too. Mysterious. I have no idea to solve this problem. I think I it is time to contact Telelogic support staff. Greetings from Jena/Germany Reiner |

When you get a resolution to this please post here. I think we have a similar problem.

I think the cause was my own newcomer ignorance.
The solution was quite easy. Beginning on top of the database I've changed the permissions to all objects in the RIGHT PANE. Using the left pane there were most menues grayed. In the following I could move, delete and purge all I wanted. Bye. Reiner |
