Hi,
I'm trying to delete an object in a module that has no visible in/out links (no link arrows, nothing in properties) however I keep getting the message: cannot delete - object(s) have 2 incoming links (the first of which is via link module (Before I purged the source module it put the name of it before the ":2416" bit.) I would have hoped that purging a module would permanently delete any out links from that module, as before I understand they are only "soft deleted". It seems to have left a legacy. If I try and delete the linkset it says cannot find module (or it did when the module was deleted but not purged). Any ideas? Any help appreciated, Robbie Longworth Ultra Electronics Datel |

Try: [1] ReCreate the module with the exact name in the exact folder. Delete the link-set. Then delete and purge the module. (This probably won't work since I presume the link module refers to a module's unique ID, not its name). [2] Get the Administrator to search for this module. Maybe you only thought you purged it, now you don't have R access anymore. [3] Have the Administrator run the Integrity Checker; you probably have a lost module. This may result in the module being put in folder Lost And Found, where you'll delete and purge it again.

Hi Louie,
Thanks for the reply, I tried the first method and it worked, though in a wierd way! The module was definately purged as I watched the administor do it. I did like you say and re-created a module of the same name, went to the object I wanted to delete and it was marked as having 9 in-links from a totally different (existing) module! These links I had access to so I was able to delete them and delete my object. It was a bit worrying how the links stored against this object had changed though. Once again, many thanks!
