I would like to map the <Object Identifier>, which contains the unique requirement prefix + ID, to a style in my Word export. The logical place to look, I thought, was Tools-->Support Tools-->Edit Paragraph Style Attribute. However, that dialog does not list Object Identifier in the list of available attributes for selection. |

First of all, "Object Identifier" is, like you already noted, not a regular object attribute. It is a combination of the module attribute "Prefix" and the object's "Absolute Number". This is why it does not appear in the list of attributes in the Paragraph Style dialog box. However, even if it was an object attribute, "Paragraph Style" would be of no help, as DOORS is actually just assigning styles to "Object Text" or "Object Heading" attributes, ignoring all other possible entries to "Paragraph Style".
One possible solution would be to parse your exported Word file a posteriori with a Macro and assign the required style then. The other solution would be to use one of the alternative Word Exporters, namely DOCExpress or WEXP. I have only experience with the latter, and I know that WEXP actually supports the pseudo-attribute "Object Identifier", which means you can define a template for the object's identifier, assign a style and use this style during export. But be warned that actually using WEXP requires at least a few weks for getting used to it (at least in my humble experience). Regards, Peter |

DocExpress 4.1 has "borrowed" some of the features of WEXP, namely the ability to drive object by object formatting with an attribute instead of a formatting script.

In DOORS, no. In WORD, yes. In Find or Find and Replace, with a wildcard search you can find all Object IDs and change them all to the style you want.
