Does anyone know how to use the new DOORs API to pull data out of the DOORsXT database?

There is a separate CHM file available on the XT support site covering API functionality Mandy |

Thanks Mandy,
I do however already have that and not having done this kind of thing before, I was wondering if anyone have a code snippet of how to say return a string representation of an object to the command line or such like?

One thing that I have learn evaluting XT ( version 1.1 ) is that there is no support in this version to connect to the actual database through C#. Just an FYI for the rest.

I think you can probably wrap the c#dll up as a com object and then use it within visual c++ If you then wanted to access it from another programming language you'd have to utilise some form on native interface after compiling a new dll. I know that java has the JNI to do this. potentially one approach, although again my understanding is that the api only allows access to the business layer.
Would you not be able to connect to the database through ODBC, I believe that it uses an oracle DB?
