Convert the DXL column to a DXL attribute. Then you can open / activate the embedded OLE object, though only in read-only mode.

Is there a way to enable an OLE icon to be opened when using the analysis wizard. Currently all that is displayed is the icon and name from the child module it resides in. Can this by made "active" so that a user can open the object from the parent module when pulled in via analysis wizard in a view?
