What is the best way to define a common base of requirements that apply to a family of equipments (up to 5 variants), each variant requiring multiple functionnal baselines.
We estimate that around 70 % of common requirements are shared by the family. The other requirements will be specific to one or more variants. We are DOORS beginners. |

The best way is to get your group to hire contract engineers that know how to do this -- Worst way is to get some generalized ideas from the web about a new tool and then proceed into the wilderness.

Don't start with "How will DOORS do this?", start with "How do I do this with just pen and paper?" then go to "How can DOORS help me with the problems that process causes me?".
