I want to do something like:-

for linkModDesc in current Project do {
sSource = getSourceName(linkModDesc)
sTarget = getTargetName(linkModDesc)
sName = getName(linkModDesc)
print sName "\t" sSource "\t" sTarget "\n"
}

However, I get a DXL output message of:-
-E- DXL: <Line:14> incorrect arguments for (do)

Reading the DXL Reference manual it says I have to use:-

for linkModDesc in f do {...}

which isn't quite whast I want to do, as it only shows the details for (surprise surprise) the current folder.

Lets not confuse 'LinkSets' with 'LinkSetPairings' aka 'LinkModuleDescriptors'. You seem to be looking for LMDs, which are defined in the Module when using the GUI but are actually stored in Folders as far as DXL is conserned.

You need to recursively find all folders in your project, and then get the LMDs for each folder therein.

Alan, here's one I prepared earlier.

This exports all LMD's to a CSV file.

Thanks Tony, tried and works.

Now, to clarify the difference between Linksets and LMDs...

If I understand it correctly, the LMDs are the definitions of modules pairings as seen in the Module Properties Linkset tab.

Linksets store the actual source-target connection that forms a link.

So, a linkset may exist without the LMD (as the LMD can be deleted to prevent further links between source-target).

An LMD may exist without a linkset, as the permission for a link between source-target can exist without there actually being any links.

Okay, so trying to understand what I am seeing in Tools->Manage Open Modules...
Would I be correct in thinking that if a formal module is opened (even in the background), all the link modules for which the formal module is either the source or target in an LMD would also be opened?

Yes, LMDs are the DXL equivalent of 'LinkSetPairings' discussed in the DOORS manual and as seen in the module properties.

Actually, the links themselves are stored in the source module, but they appear to be stored in the LinkSet.

Yes, LMDs can exist without a LinkSet and visa versa.

LMDs don't grant permission, they deny permission to other link modules. Deleting an LMD doesn't stop creation of links in the corresponding linkset.

When you open a module I think you also open the link modules associated with actual links, it has nothing to do with LMDs.
