I don't know if others have seen this (did a quick search for excel in this forum and didn't find it) but when I copy a cell with over 1024 characters(including new lines) and try to paste it into a DOORS text attribute, it truncates at the 1024 character limit.
I know the Text property of an Excel cell has a character limit of 1024 (not to be confused with setting the cell to the Text number format which has a limit of 255 before only displaying #s). Is this what DOORS attempts to paste when pasting data from a cell. If you copy the cell and paste it into any other text editor it copies the whole value of the cell (minus RTF formatting unless its compatible). Edit: Wordpad also has this problem. ------------------------- David Pechacek AAI Services Textron dpechacek@sc-aaicorp.com David.Pechacek@gmail.com Edited: 11-Jul-2007 at 13:52 by David Pechacek |
