![]() Answer: Hi Kristie 1. Your script writes to an ".xls" file which is usually associated with MS Excel, not MS Word 2. The MS Word (and for that matter MS Excel) file formats are proprietary formats, the details of which are not (as far as I know) published by Microsoft, it is therefore not practical to write one of these formats directly. 3. If it is an MS Word document that you require, you could write your data in RTF format, which is a published format that MS Word can read, or alternatively write an exporter that drives MS Word via OLE. Both of these options would allow you to insert the formatting you require, but neither method is easy. 4. When posting code to a forum, it makes it easier for readers if you just post a few key lines which illustrate your problem. | |

Hi everyone,
I am writing a dxl script that writes to a file using a stream. I am looking for the following tags: 1) Italics 2)Bold 3)Page Break 4)Section Break I am creating a word document and would like these things to be in my exported document. Is this possible? |
