Hello,
i have a .tsv file with the following format: "Object Number"\t"Object Heading"\t"Object text" importing the heading and the text is no problem. But Doors does not take my Object number to number the rows. Can i make Doors to take my Object Number instead of numbering them from 1-x? my Numbers look like this: 1 1-1 1-2 1-2-1 2 2-1 2-2 ... etc Thanks in advance, Ben |

DOORS assigns Object Numbers based on the hierarchy structure of you objects. Since you imported with a tsv file you will have a flat hierarchy structure of objects.

I just got into the same issue that you were having with the object numbering. Would you mind sharing the DXL script? Thanks

Ron,
My script may work, but it assumes a number format of 1.2.1, not 1-2-1. Ben may have to convert the dashes to dots, or hack the code a bit. ------------------------- Michael Sutherland michael@galactic-solutions.com http://galactic-solutions.com |
