Answer:
dbadmin.exe (for DOS) and dbsadmin.exe (for Windows) are installed when you install the DOORS server. You can copy them from the server's install directory /bin to your own client's install /bin.

I've not tried it but am fairly confident that you could use the dbadmin.exe -u DOS command to "pipe" the results to the dbadmin -k command, automatically killing all users. But if you are going to do that you might as well simply find a way to automatically stop and then start the DOORS service.

My company has recently deployed DOORS 7.0 in a production environment. I know there are issues with backing up the database when users are logged into the DB. Is there a way to created an automated script that can be scheduled to log out the users currently logged into the database? We would really like as little manual intervention as possible since our backup schedule is late in the evening.

Thanks,

Ross,

Are all of the command line options for "dbadmin" documented anywhere? This seems like a rather useful command.

I have been trying to develop a backup script on a standalone setup and have the need to log users off before archiving. I do not have dbadmin.exe in the bin folder and I do not have access to the installation disks. Is it only included on a server/client installation on the server when the server components are installed?
