Hi
If anyone can help it would be appreciated. When you select an object with the mouse in a module you get two black lines above and below the object. Is there anyway to move these black lines using DXL. If I use: currentObj = next currentObj I get the next object but the lines stay firmly fixed. Another question which goes with this is how do I keep the object on the screen. I.e. if you do enough next objects you soon dont see the object you are looking at anymore. I.e. an effect like moving the vertical scroll bar. Thanks Alastair |

You need to set the current Object.
currObject = next currObject (current ObjectRef__) = currObject the second line sets the current object and moves the black lines. THe module window will automatically scroll to keep the current object visible. ------------------------- Tony Goodman http://www.smartdxl.com |

Golly. In all my years of doing this I didn't know that setting the current object ALSO updated the display; I thought you had to issue a "refresh currMod" command. Now I can fix a bunch of annoying "scrolling" problems I've been having.
Anyway, be advised that you get a DXL error if you try to set the current object in a module that is not current. So if you DXL deals with other open modules you will probably want to issue: ...........(current ModuleRef__) = module(currObject) before setting the current object. - Louie |
