Hi,
I have always had trouble with "include" statements. Most of the time, I have solved the trouble via a "trial and error" method but every now and then, I hit a dead end altogether. The question is as follows: My "addins" folder for the DOORS client is \\SharedAddins\DoorsDXL\addins This path is captured after the "-a" statement in the properties field of the DOORS client's shortcut. The "addins" sub-folder has a folder within it called "include\dxlattrs". I want to refer to a file in this folder via an include statement. I have tried the following: #include(addins\include\dxlattrs\includefile.inc) but I get an error. Will removing the "addins" bit of the path above fix the issue? Please do let me know. Thank you in advance. Regards, Pranav |

Hi Pranav,
Not sure if it will help but my include path is inside < > brackets and not ( ). Mark ------------------------- mark_williamson@synthesys.co.uk http://www.synthesys.co.uk ---------------------------------------- |

DOORS looks in $DOORSHOME/lib/dxl, folders referenced by ADDINS, folders referenced by DOORSADDINS.
You specified the folder using a -a switch, so your include should be as follows: #include <include/myScript> i.e. don't include the folder you specified, just the sub-folder folder itself. Conversely, if you want to reference a folder in the $DOORSHOME/lib/dxl/addins directory (that you have not referenced using ADDINS) then you need the following: #include <addins/blah...> ------------------------- Tony Goodman Smart DXL limited www.smartdxl.com |
