This is not a DXL. This is a Microsoft WORD MACRO and has to be ran in Word. You have to create a new Word Macro, then copy and paste the code in the text file into the MACRO.
You might find these "MS Word" macros useful sometime. They come in handy when you export a table view of the “new in DOORS 7.1” module compare utility found under tools. The module compare utility works good for comparing similar modules that contain nearly the same text. The problem is on export from DOORS you get the Underlining and strikethroughs, but they are not colored. Probably could have combined these into one script, but I’m just a hacker when it comes to VBA and they work for me, so don’t complain. One changes the font color to blue for “all” text that is underlined in a Word document. The other changes the font color to red for all text that has strikethrough in a Word document. Hopefully, you guys won’t write me back and tell me this mechanism can be done from the “MS Word” GUI. Be aware that if you have something purposely underlined, the underline macro is going to change the font color to blue for that item. ![]()

The links to the macros no longer work, could you repost? Thanks :-)

As an aside to this question, can anyone give me a tip on how to achieve the same thing in a Layout DXL column? I saw a very good presentation (Boeing Australia) at the recent Aus/NZ user conference where they had a Layout DXL column that highlighted the diff since the last baseline, with the strikeout and underline in different colours.
I can figure out the strikeouts and underlines, but have never used colours this way so far.
Thanks
Andrew.

There's a undocumented Layout DXL function displayRichWithColor which allows you to display your rich text buffers with the defined colors displayed, it is used in a similar fashion as displayRich.

I'm no good at Macros, but I have been able to do an export and then use the Word replace function to replace the same colors in the word doc as in the doors module. Blue: replace any underlined text with blue underlined text Red: replace any strikethru text with red strikethru text Red "Deleted Object 'xyz' follows:-" : this was a little more tricky, but it comes down to the text type. This text is of type "normal", so replace normal italic text with red normal italic text. This way your headings don't get changed if they come out as italic. this method still fails if you've got deliberate italic text in your spec ------------------------- Rich Mason richard_mason@drsoptronics.com |

It is also possible to use colored highlighing in a layout DXL column. See this post.
Basically, you add a rich text color table and use the "\\highlight" rich text tags. You can also use colored highlighting in richText and richField dialog box elements. The code below produces a Layout DXL column as shown in the attached picture.
