Cannot delete this... but suddenly was able to make simpler version work. Thanks anyway. =========== I am trying to pull together a quick utility to run through modules in a project where they set access on some of the modules' objects to limit access way back in DOORS 4.x. The project has been migrated up through the versions and is now in DOORS 7.1. Another group wants to be able to modify the modules/objects. Figured I would first get setting the objects to inherited values working at the module level before I stuck it inside a loop to run through the project (and exclude messing with the CP folder and Link modules. Both my own code attempt and code of others (searched this form) get DXL errors in a loop similar to the following: Object obj Module mod = current bool IsInherited sorting off for obj in entire mod do { isAccessInherited(obj, IsInherited)) // syntax error if (IsInherited) { inherited(obj) // Set it Inherited syntax error // specific(obj) // Set it Specific; gets the module's accesses } } Any ideas why this is not working? More importantly, please recommend fix. THANKS! Edited: 23-Jun-2005 at 15:40 by Kirk Walker |

You've got two closing parentheses in the isAccessInherited line. I'm not getting an error on the inherited line. Is it possible you've defined "inherited" has a variable further up the code?
