Hi all,

I need to copy a collection of objects from module a to module b.  The source objects in module a have existing in/out links which I need to retain when copying to module b.

I've tried Tools>Functions>Copy Objects but this doesn't retain those links I need.

Can anyone offer a solution?  (I'm a total newbie at dxl btw)

Many thanks,

Bob.

One way to do this is to save the links as attributes and then recreate the links after copying the objects.

Run the attached script in module A to store the existing links in attributes.
You will need to run it once for each source or target module, using a different attribute each time.

Then copy your objects from module A to module B, remembering to include the attributes you just created.

Then run Link by Attribute... from the Link menu. You will have to run this once for each attribute you created earlier.
