Hello ..,

One of our Doors user has the following problem. Can any one help us in solving this problem.

       ' I am trying to use a DXL Script to create a DXL attribute in DOORS. I am having difficulty combining multiple attributes into one, while eliminating the cases where an attribute is empty for the object. There is a script in the Wizard which is similar but I haven't had any success modifying it. '

Thanks,
Ratnakara Pesaladinne.

Try this
You will need to create the attribute first.

//DXL Attribute script

Object o

for o in current Module do {
//list the attributes that you want to combine
string s=identifier(o)
string n=number(o)
string t = richText (o)."Object Text"
string v=(o)."VerifMethod"

if (!null t){
string os = "[" s "] " n "--" t // format that you want to display brackets around the ID
o."AttrsInOne" = richText os // o." Name of Attribute"
}
}

DXL Attribute embraces the notion of the default object using undeclared variable "obj". Thus your DXL attribute code would look like attached. Note the use of "attrDXLName" which is the substitute for the default attribute.

Use of strings can cause a bit of a memory issue, in our variant we use a buffer.
