Hi
At the start of my process I'm using the MS Word export function get my text into DOORS. At the end of my process I'm exporting back to MS Word (using Doc Express). There seems to be loads of text formatting imported initially into DOORS from MS Word, and when I re-export back into Word this formatting is messing the export up. Ideally I want to get rid of all formatting but keep the following: bold underline strikethough italics bullet points OLEs Anybody got any ideas? Many Thanks Pete |

The kitchen library has a script which removes all RTF except the ones you listed. However, it does delete all OLEs, so there is room for improvement ...

Peter, My preference is to pre-process the documents in words to put the documents into a desired format before exporting to DOORS.

Peter C,
I have to say that while Peter A's suggestion would be faster (you could always import OLEs after running the script), that Ron's way is better for multiple imports. Use styles with Word and clean everything up except for what you want to leave. Then import to DOORS. ------------------------- Kevin Murphy http://www.baselinesinc.com The Requirements Management Experts |
