Is anybody out there using Traceline right now?
If so, I cannot figure out how to display module links in Traceline. It seems that all it will show is links created via Traceline. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a limitation of the tool? Thanks, Corey |

Corey,
I am not using the tool but did evaluate for 30 days. I think you're doing something wrong. So test for this. Create just 2 modules, and create links from one to another, and add them both to traceline and define attributes you wish to see, as well as link direction (you have to define which module is above the other, becuase there are also "sideways" links. This is where I think you are going wrong.). As an aside, I could not believe the amount of overhead/administration in publishing modules to traceline and then updating the traceline views. The functionality of traceline should be built-in to DOORS (and not a separate, charged for add-on) and definitely should not be an administrative nightmare for hundreds of modules. You can't script changes to the traceline view...I could go on and on. Seriously think about scale and resources before deploying traceline. ------------------------- Kevin Murphy http://www.baselinesinc.com |

So, in doing some testing, I found out that Traceline does not support linking to baselines. We are linking from the current version of the source module to a baseline of the target module. I have submitted a Support Request to Telelogic to see if there is a way to display the links to baselines. Stay tuned for updates!
