![]() Answer: Never heard of PROTDXL, but I would assume that it would only decrypt DXL for version 7.1 and earlier. Telelogic changed the encryption algorithm with DOORS 8.0. I think the reason for this was that the encryption algorithm was becoming too public. Although it is interesting to look at decrypted Telelogic code, I would advise against using anything you find directly. Telelogic will not support use of undocumented features and there is also the risk that they might change something without you knowing, thus breaking your DXL. If it is specifically the miniExplorer functionality you are interested in then you can see the source code for my version here miniExplorer. This version is a little more robust than the Telelogic version :-) | |

Greetings.
Courtesy of a DOORS DXL programmer from Telelogic, I was introduced some time ago to some of the miniExplorer functionality. The trouble is, the only information I have about what services come with dxl\miniExplorer\inc\miniExplorerGlobals.inc and miniExplorerUtils.inc is what I saw in this person's example. I'd like to be able to use the full set of constants and services that are included in these files. If you look under the DOORS Dxl library, the units are encrypted, as are many of the .inc files. Does anybody know where decrypted copies of these files can be viewed? Or better yet, does anyone have a tool that decrypts such files? Thanks! Tara Wilk ------------------------- Tara L. Tara,
This thread has information on how to use the miniExplorer. Also see this thread as well. I do not know of a way to decrypt DXL. ------------------------- Michael Sutherland michael@galactic-solutions.com http://galactic-solutions.com |

A little birdie has told me that if you are lucky enough to have PROTDXL it not only encrypts files but also decrypts.

Hi Pete,
Did the "little birdie" tell you where could this PROTDXL be found? ![]() |

No, I don't have a copy of this. I was hoping that someone else would so that is why I opened my mouth ;-)
