Answer:
OMG, Shawn! Very cool! Thank you sooooo much! What a relief!!

I do feel compelled, however, to note a slight "flaw in the slaw" (not to be unappreciative, I assure you). I kept getting a message back stating that the view (whichever was being transported at the time) already exited in the target module (it was a clean module to start with ) - minor issue, though - everything came out alright!

Thanks again!

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to import a view from one module to another, much the same way as you can import attributes between modules.

I realize you can clone modules to re-create views, but I'm referring to a case where a module has already been established and one wishes to re-create a view in that module from another module.

Any thoughts? Scripts?

Thanks,
Kim

Kim,

I'm glad the "Copy Views" utility worked for you.

Other users have noted the "flaw in the slaw" as well. I have it on my list of things to do to fix it.

My workaround to the 'bug' was to comment out one line and replace with another line of code as follows:

//if ( load( targetModuleHandle, view viewNameToCopy ) ) //commented out
if(canRead(targetModuleHandle ,view viewNameToCopy)) //added by Ron Lewis
