![]() Answer: I just spoke with a DOORS rep and he said that there's no way to restore the most recent baseline to the current baseline like I had originally hoped. Instead he suggested restoring a server backup and working from there. Luckily after assessing the situation, I found that un-deleting objects was the solution to my particular problem. I was able to fix everything in less than an hour. | |

OK here's the deal:
I had a user make a baseline of his module before he started modifying it. He made a lot of major changes to the module, enough to where we don't want to use his changes in any fashion. We would like to restore what we had in the last baseline back into working condition again. Is there any way to do this? (We still want to keep all the history, or otherwise we'd just copy the latest baseline into a new module). TIA, Charing ------------------------- Charing Maher Systems Engineer, SAIC |

Hi.
If you made an archive of the module, when it was baselined then restore it. Or you could restore a project arhiive which contained the module at its last baseline, and restore the required elements. More drastically, you could copy DOORShome/v6Data to a safe location, and do an OP back-up restore to a date when the original baseline existed. Start DOORS and archive the module in question. Stop the DOORS services and copy and paste your v6Data back in the original position, re-start the DOORS service and restore the project archiive. Hope this helps. Ewen Miller QinetiQ |

Yup, sort of makes baselinging of marginal use.
Most History records can be undone. Start from the end of the History and work your way up until you get to the point in time you care about. Object Purges and Attribute deletes cannot be undone. - Louie |

quote: Is it possible to do this in DXL? The manual doesn't seem to give any straightforward way of "undoing" a history (like is possible in the GUI). Chris |
