Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the Insert Below feature?    Our hierarchy is set and we want to ban users from using Insert Below.   We have too many new users and they aren't remembering the differences in "after" and "below"   It would make likfe easier to be able to turn this off until we find we need again.

Thanks.

You can remove the menu option by editing DOORSHOME/lib/dxl/config/formal.dxl on every client, but I would not recommend doing that.

Even if you did disable the option, users would still be able to get the hierarchy wrong by moving or copying and pasting objects.

Also, if you can't insert below, you can't create the first object below an empty heading.

I assume that the rule you want to enforce is that only heading objects may have children and all text objects are leaf objects. It is common for new users to get the hierarchy messed-up, because the hierarchy is not immediately obvious in the module window.

This is relatively simple to check (and fix) using DXL, so it might be better to let the users work and then fix it later. It won't take long for them to get the hang of it.
