We are a Microsoft development shop with Team Foundation Server/Visual Studio deeply embedded in our work process. When I came on board 18 months ago I initiated evaluation of requirements tools, looking for one that both facilitated requirements management and provided traceability into TFS, particularly to test cases.
The tools that had TFS integration didn't hold a candle to DOORS in terms of usability and flexibility for the BA doing the writing and managing. I'd lived through a big DOORS integration in my previous job and know it well. When we learned of the planned TFS integration with 9.0, it was an easy sell to my management to go with DOORS. In fact, we beta tested the integration with mixed results, but decided to go ahead with the purchase based on DOORS overall power. Now I'm waiting for my Sys Admin to install the integration. I wonder if there are any other TFS users here who are also giving it a try. Mia |

Mia:
I'm curious also as to others who have employed the TFS-DOORS integration. I have been a DOORS user for several years and our company uses Team System for our development projects. I'd like to see what Telelogic has done in terms of the integration between TFS work items and requirements modules. Scott Walker |
