If you have a handle on a DBE, is it possible to tell what kind of DBE the handle corresponds to?
I have multiple tabs and each tabs elements is in a skip list. I want to loop through the skip list of one of the tabs and get the values of all the elements of that tab. But I have some labels in there too and obviously you can't get the value of a label since it doesn't have one. I'm wondering if theres a way to identify a label DBE and skip it. ------------------------- David Pechacek AAI Services Textron dpechacek@sc-aaicorp.com David.Pechacek@gmail.com |

Hi David,
if, the label is the only problem, you can use noError statement. Then you can use lastError to check, if the call to get was successful. BTW: When you only loop through the DBEs without any context, the output makes not much sense, doesn't it?! So it could be also usefull to mark the needed DBEs in your tab skip lists, may be the key is the context of value prefixed by (DBE) type specifier. I'm not outputting anything. I just want to check if the value of each (nonlabel) DBE is blank.
Thanks for the noError idea. That should work fine. ------------------------- David Pechacek AAI Services Textron dpechacek@sc-aaicorp.com David.Pechacek@gmail.com |
