Answer:
Hi Akilah,

does your Module contain any Attribute DXL?
The value for ADXL would be calculated, when viewing properties dialog box.
This is only the first idea I had

I have never experienced this scenario before:

I updated the Design Document in DOORS (via Rhapsody Gateway) and now it takes forever (10s of minutes) for the object properties window to become available.

This makes it impossible to view the history, which important in viewing the difference between UML diagrams, unless I want to wait 10 -15 minutes to view all 100+ diagrams.

I knew it wasn't the size of the document, because the window opens just fine in the previous version (baseline) of the same module. Also, it takes the same amount of time to open an object that just has "Introduction" as it's only text & no history to "load".

Still I baseline the module, just to see what would happen...and the same thing...takes way too long.

Does anyone know what could possibly cause such a scenario?

And if so, what is the resolution, if any?

Apparently, that was the problem. It strange though, because I use DXL Attributes in other modules and it doesn't seem to effect them in the same manner.

Nonetheless, thanks for your response - you really helped me out!

Another thing I would do when you experience this is to ping your database server and observe the response time. Perhaps, network latency is contributing to your issues as well.
