Hi, I have a Word document which includes in long tables (three pages) and so I can not export them to the DOORS like OLEs. What possibilities I have when don't want to break the tables but export to DOORS like one object? -Lasse |

Options:
1. Insert as an ICON or as a shrunk picture. 2. Insert data as attributes. 3. Change your criteria. |

Additional options:
4. Link to a web page, file or another Formal module. 5. Insert as a DOORS table |

Word table menu
convert table to text. If you format one (or more) of the columns as a heading level style you get structure to your text. If it really needs to be a table, then can you have a separate DOORS module and import as attributes? Split into smaller Word tables and insert all as OLEs. Consider what you will want to prove traceability to and make sure that will be achievable. DOORS tables cause more problems than they solve (filtering, editing, viewing attributes, selecting...) so it is worth finding another way. Hazel |
