Does anybody have a script that enables the creation of a paragraph number, that can have an offset placed upon its start number and reflect the object heading level?

I have multiple modules that need to be combined in one output document.

Thanks

Jason

Paragraph numbers reflect the current position of objects within the hierarchy, so when exporting parts of modules, or combining more than one module, these numbers do not make any sense.

Off the top of my head I can suggest the following:

export the modules without heading numbers and use Word auto-numbering after the export.

add extra heading objects in the module so the paragraph numbers are shifted to the correct offset. So if the module is destined to become section 4 of a document, add three level 1 heading objects at the beginning of the module. These can be deleted from the word document after export.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for the suggestion.

I was trying to avoid the joys of working with word and paragraph numbering and using an attribute to overcome these issues in a Table export.

I'll try the word option and see which is the easiest solution.

Thanks again.
