Hi all,
does anybody know how to hide a menu icon? I do know how to hide an entry in a drop down menu, say the "manage users" command, but I would like to hide the icon too. Any ideas? Thanks Karl |

Hi Karl,
Well, if it is the "Manage Users" Menu selection you would like to hide (or disable), I believe the way to do that is to setup the user as a "Standard User". That would mean the user has no ability to manage users. Even a custom user with the "Create users" checkbox unchecked should take care of that option. Hiding menu selections themselves is not something that I believe is possible. The best you may be able to do is to "disable" the selection. I'm not sure how to disable any of the standard DOORS Menu selections. |

Hi Douglas,
thanks for your response. The point is, we have our own tool to manage user groups, which enables project managers to add users to or to remove users from a group. But they cannot create, rename, disable or delete a group using this tool. They can still do this the standard DOORS way, but I do not want them to. I want them to only use this tool for user group management. That's why I want to hide (but not disable) the standard DOORS functionality for all but database managers. Karl |
