Although this column DXL script works fine for a link in a normal baseline, it does not work for a link in a baseline that is part of a baseline set. I presume it is because one needs to reference not the current link, but the baseline link. However, I can't find any information on refenencing a baseline link in the 8.1 DXL manual, and I can't see a baseline linkset from the link module.
I thought the entire point of a Baseline set was that one could generate the trace matrix of the relationships between modules that existed on the day the baseline set was closed. So how does one go about doing this within a baseline set? Navigating the arrows is not very useful, especially if it cannot be automated with a script. The analysis wizards also don't seem to work within a baseline set. Any suggestions will be appreciated. |

Hi Lois,
you need to use LinkRefs and the all keyword to follow links from/into baselines. It is really essential to use load (ModuleVersion, bool) instead of read (string, bool) because you want to laod a special baseline of module. See attached modfied code for example. An addition to Reik's reply: links to baselines are discussed in the DXL Help section on Versioned links.

Hi Lois,
I have to say, that may not be fully correct. The views are independently from module version (baseline) you have opended. So if change a view in current version, it will change in baseline (because it is the really the same "file"). Yes, I noticed that. The views are associated with the module in general, and not with a specific version. This is helpful for my current case, as I'm trying to apply the newer features of DOORS 8.1 to projects created under DOORS 6.
