How to display all the possible in links and out links in one view? Pl. advice.

when I am using Analysis wizard, I am forced to choose either in links or out links radio buttons, however I want both of them to be displayed.

Thanks

Hi Lata,

Do you mean to display both in-links and out-links in a single column? If so, you will need some custom DXL for that.

However, to show both in a view, run the analysis wizard for each direction, generating a column for each, and then save that view.

Best Regards,
Antonio.

Create an IN column then also an OUT column with the wizard. Select the OUT column and edit its properties. Then [Browse] for the layout, then [current]. The dxl of the layout is displayed. In that window RightClick>>Edit>>Select all. Then RightClick>>Edit>>Copy. Close those two windows. Select the IN column, properties, [Browse], [Current]. Go to the end of the DXL. RightClick>>Edit>>Paste.

That should put both in and out in the same column.

Thanks for your reply. I tried doing like you told, it works fine with the view containing both in and out links. However, once I close DOORS and come back, I loose the content of the view, in the sense, I see the column headings and until I open those modules which are linked, i don't see data in the links columns. Pl. advice on this. Thanks

Objects at the other end of an incoming link are not visible until the module they are in is open.
When you run the wizard, make sure you check "All Modules" rather than "Open Modules".
This way, the layout DXL opens modules (not visible) at the source of the links if they are not open already.

Thanks, it helps when I make a selection with all modules instead of open modules.

Once you change the column layout DXL you'll need to resave the view its in.
