![]() Answer: Hi, Have experienced the same problem many times - these hidden links are usually a result of someone using the DOORS "Copy Objects" function which allows you to copy objects to another module and also link them at the same time. When it comes to the linking part of the operation, DOORS doesn't discrminate the hidden table header and row objects from the link - this is an oversight that requires Telelogic to fix please. I've copied a DXL script below that will remove incoming links to the header and row column objects (unable to attach as a file as this forum doesn't support attachments). This script deletes incoming links to the table header and row objects one table at a time so all you need to do is make sure that an object within a table is selected and then run, when finished, step onto the next table and so on. You will need to have write access to the modules that contain objects that are the source of these links. If you're not sure where the links are coming from, the attached script could be modified to list those modules that are the source of the links, or get some one who can login as Administrator and get them to do it. | |

Need to find out how to delete a table and all the incoming links to the table.
I went to the source file and removed all the links to the target module and then went to the target and tried to delete the table and I keep on getting the error message indicating there are links coming to the table. I am not able to see the links or delete them. Please let me know if there is a way around this problem. ![]() |

A DOORS table is made up of more Objects than just the Cell Objects. There are also Row Objects a Table Header Object. Perhaps the link is to a Row Object or the Table Header Object.
To see the Table Header Object for a Table, go to View -> Show -> Table Cells, and make sure it is unchecked. The Table Header Object will appear as ">> Table". I know of no way to see the Row Objects from the DOORS user interface. They can be detected and manipulated via DXL. ------------------------- Michael Sutherland michael@galactic-solutions.com http://galactic-solutions.com |
