I have a template module that is a target for links. I could have sworn that in 7.1 if I copied that target module and pasted with update reference that it would also update the Source module to reflect the appropriate linksets. If I've gone through the trouble of creating a template, I would like the Source module linksets to automatically build if I'm making a copy of a target module to collect other requirements. We do this when we have multiple Use Cases. We use one module for each Use Case, and these are our targets. The Business Rule and Data Journal modules are sources starting the links. For purpose of our traceability, this is how we set this up. When I do copy the Use Case Template, and rename it, any links out of the Use Case, copy and references are updated. Am I missing something or has this changed in 8.# where by the Source linksets are not updated when making a copied target module ??

I'm also finding that when I copy a module and paste with update references, that the linksets I had set up for the original module are not copying either. So I have a Use Case template which has linksets set up so that I can link from the UC module to a target module called User Requirements List. When I copy the Use case Template to make another UC module and paste with update references, I will view the Module properties of the Link_Modules and notice that my new copied module with updated references is not showing as one of the new linksets. Again, I'm using 8.1 and was pretty sure this worked for me in 7.1, but now I'm doubting myself.

Does anyone know of any changes from 7 to 8.1 that would cause differences, or am I just imagining things and have to do the manual process of creating the new linksets??
