I remember reading somwhere DOORS 8.2/8.3 installation doesn't require one to be a local Administrator or have Admin privileges.I dont remember exactly where I found this info. However, the DOORS 8.3 installation manual states that one has to be an Administrator. Now, is this true?

The Windows installation modifies the keys under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key in registry and that needs administrative privileges - e.g. the user installing has to be a member in Adminstrators group in my experience. Logging as Administrator is not needed, though this might be dependent on the environment.
