Hi I have 2 very similar modules, both of them have one identical view.Loading of this view is very quick in one module(almost immediate) and very slow in the second one-almost 1\2 minute. Why there is such difference? |

If you load the view in the 2nd module, then load the standard view, then re-load the view in question, does it still take a long time? If its fast the 2nd time then almost definately it has some layout-dxl in the view that deals with links, and that layout opens up modules at the other end of the link (and opens such module's invisibly). If the 2nd module is a copy (? or do I mean 'clone'?) of the first, then its possible that the first module has links from objects to other objects in the same module, but the copy has links from its objects to the original objects in the first module.
You can check for open invisible module by running Tools >Manage open modules from the DB explorer window. Do that, load the view, and refresh the list of open modules to see if there are now more open. If the view loads slowly each time its loaded then it probably features a sort and the module has many more objects in it than the first. - Louie |
