You don't generally need to realize a Dialog Box, but you can if you want to position it on the page or when you've got some list type DBEs that can only be populated after the dialog has been realized: realize (dbMain, 20, 50) initialize list... show (dbMain) - Louie | |

realize(dialog_box) creates and displays a dialog box without suspending execution of the DXL program. The dialog_box only becomes active when a show function is called.
The realize(dialog_box) function is used where you wish to do something that can only be done once the dialog box internal structure has been created, for example, add columns to a list view. Creating the internal structure is called realization. |
