Indeed, next and previous functions respect the current display set, so will work correctly in a filtered view.

I have a view that has been filtered and sorted. In layout dxl, obj is the present object. Is there a way to get the object displayed just above and below obj? I think previous and next would give me the previous/next object in the hierarchy rather than on the display, but I haven't tried this.
