So I'm curious as to where most DOORS adminstrators fall in the heirarchy of their companies. Where does your position fall under; Configuration Management, IT, etc.

I belong to our CM group...

W.r.t. my current contract assignment, I'm establishing an Applications Framework Group (AFG) which consists of the administrators for the following apps:

RequisitePro (will hopefully be replaced with DOORS),
    HP Quality Centre,
    Serena Dimensions,
    Crystal Reports.

The AFG reports to the Chief Systems Engineer but also has a close alignment with the companies IT Department w.r.t. platform support for these tools.

I'm the project manager and chief BA within a development group, which is within a larger IT delivery firm. I handle DOORS configuration -- module structure, link structure, attributes, output templates. Our Sys Admin, also exclusive to this group, manages the environment along with that of all our other tools.
