Hi,
How can I assign enumeration values to enum attributes in dxl. Essentially, I want to copy values from one attribute (string) into another that has type enum (the string will be of one of the valid enum type values).

thanks, --Greg

Well, just do it :-)

just put the correct names in for 'otherStringAttName' and 'thisEnumeratedAttName'.

Object currObj = current
string newValue = currObj .otherStringAttName
noError
currObj .thisEnumeratedAttName = newValue
if (lastError != ""){warningBox "The value " newValue " is not valid for attribute " thisEnumeratedAttName "!"}

Regards,

Peter
