Hello,
I have a problem with opening a module. If I try to open the formal module I get the message: "Section file could not be opened: index entry not found"

Is there a known issue / solution for this problem?

(used DOORS version: 8.1)

best regards,
Frank Rachinger

It could be that some sections of your module have somehow become detached in the database.
If I remember correctly, this was the error I got when this happened to me.
Telelogic provided me with the attached script.

You can run this script directly on your module.
It will display a dialog, listing all the lost sections in the module.
When you click on the 'recover sections' button, the missing objects should appear in the module.
The results of doing this can be viewed and then the decision can be made as to whether you want to save the module with the objects restored.

To load the script, log onto your DOORS database as Administrator, open the problem module in exclusive edit mode and then click on Tool/Edit DXL and then load the script.

Tony,

I am having the same problem...but the problem is that you cannot open the module to run the code.

Hi @all,
we had this problems already two times ...

On first occourence, the Telelogic support has fixed the files in an archive (created from directory on server).

The second one was in a test project, so I simply removed the module without any problems.

We did not found out what caused these lost files
and did not found an easy solution to avoid them nor to recover them.

Greetings
Reik

If this error can not be fix because even the DOORS Admin can access it, what else can we do.

Is can be caused if it was in shareable edit mode and the failed momentarly for severals times. It is maybe that some of the packets never returned to the module.

Please someone let me know to see if there is a solution. I don't want to loose any of the info.
