![]() Answer: Rich, The link module does not have to be in the same folder and the module you are comparing. The path to the link module is hard-coded in the Layout DXL that is created by the compare function. So, you can either move the link module and run the compare again or Change the path to the link module in the Layout DXL. | |

Hi everybody
have been using the module compare function under Tools to compare baselines of the same module b/c I didn't like the module compare. I have columns in the module and have save it as a view with all the different baselines in the view. After initial compare, the redline markup looked fine, with the correct red strikethrus and blue underlines. After subsequent closing and reopening of the module and selection of the view, EVERYTHING shows up as blue underline. Anybody have any experience with this? Thanks ------------------------- Rich Mason richard_mason@drsoptronics.com |

answered my own question, the link modules you specify for the module compare links must be in the same folder as the module itself. the problem arose when I moved the link modules into their own folder for housekeeping. Moved them back in the same folder as the base module, and problem solved.

Tony,
Thanks for the info. Went and looked at what you said, and yup, you're absolutely right. Gonna be a pain either way. Thanks ------------------------- Rich Mason richard_mason@drsoptronics.com Edited: 17-Jun-2008 at 13:08 by Rich Mason |

Still seeing everything blue? I noticed the same thing, and then noted there was a filter on the view to only show objects that don't have links... new objects. When you turn the funnel off, you'll see your red-lines as well.

I ended up moving the modules to where I wanted them to be, and then putting the module path in the Layout DXL script and it worked fine. Tony's answer solved my problem. I don't think a filter was involved, I just had everything showing but it was all blue before b/c the script was looking for a module that wasn't there
