In a Change Proposal module, we've found it somewhat useful to filter the module by 'Status', creating views for each status value, and setting the default open mode for certain users to be the view they want to see first. For example, a Reviewer can open a module to see 'New' or 'In Review' proposals immediately upon opening the module, or, the CP Manager can open directly to the 'Approved' view, etc. Get the picture?
OK - now, when the CP Manager has the filtered view 'Approved' open, then runs the 'Apply All' function, all approved CPs get applied (except for the first one, which is highlighted, but that's a different aggravation for discussion at another time...). This situation is all well and good, as the CP module remains in the filtered view while the process takes place. However, in the case of the 'New' view, as soon as a Reviewer opens the Review GUI ('Tools'-->'Change Proposal System>'-->'Review...'), the filtered view goes away, therefore rendering use of the 'Next' button quite efficient. Is there a way that anyone knows of to get around this, or is this 'illegal', or an anomaly for the 'Suggestions' forum? BTW, we're in version 7.1 getting ready to upgrade to v8. Thanks, Kim |
