I am a DXL newbie (really, a programming newbie...) and have the following issue:

I have a multi-value list. From this list, I need to create a depository attribute which will show the lowest enumerated value from the other attribute's multi-value list.

How do I call out the enumerated value?

Please help.

A little clarification: Part of what I'm asking for is the identifier(s) needed for calling enumerated values? Thanks!

Hi Jacqueline,

I do not really understand your question

But as described in DXL-Reference-Manual in chapter "Multi-value enumerated attributes", you can use
bool isMember(attrRef, string s)
to find out, if a value is selected or not.

To get a list of values you may use the following code ...

Hi Reik, Thank you for your response. Since I am so new to this, I don't always know how to explain myself well. Basically, what we are trying to do it this: Grab the earliest version listed in the Version attribute and display it in a new version (which will be displayed in the exported document). I think that the best way to do this is to use the enumerated values for the attributes. Does that make sense? Thanks again! Jackie
