Hi all,
I'm used to that DOORS number objects in ascending order with unique numbers. However, I'm a bit curious how numbering of table cells work. If I create four objects in a fresh module (Absolute Numbers ranging from 1 to 4) and then insert a table with 2x2 cells, the Absolute Number attribute for each cell doesn't contain the expected 5, 6, 7 and 8 but 6,7,8 and 10. As long as the numbers are unique I don't mind, but does anyone know why? Thanks. -- Mikael |

Tables are implemented as a three level hierarchy of objects.
Your 2 x 2 table is actually made up of 7 objects: A table object (number 5 in your example) 2 Row objects ( numbers 6 and 9 in your example) 4 Cell objects (numbers 7, 8,10 & 11) If you hide tables, (View->Show->Table Cells) the object that looks like >> Table is the Table object. You can never see the row objects, but you can access them with DXL. Make the table object the current object and run the following DXL Object o For o in current Object do print identifier(o) "\n" ------------------------- Tony Goodman http://www.smartdxl.com Edited: 23-Aug-2004 at 11:17 by Tony Goodman |

Run this. Notice the odd paragraph numbers for the Row/Cells.
