Hi,
I have a module where I want to have one column that is editable by a certain group of users, and everything else to be read only. I made the access rights for this group on this specific module Read Only, and then went in and gave them full permissions on the specific attribute that I want them to be able to modify. As I suspected this didn't work, as the module will only open as Read Only for users in that group and nothing is editable. I know that I could go in and set each attribute to Read Only, except for the one that I want the group to be able to edit, but obviously that's going to be a lot more work. So before I set about doing so, I'm just wondering if there is an easier way to do what I want and if I'm just missing something. Thanks in advance.

To be able to modify an object attribute, the user should have modify rights both for the object and attribute, if either of these is read-only, then the access is read-only. So the option which you described: going through every attribute and set the access right separately is the only one possible.

These users should have 'RM' access to the module. That will let them open it Edit, and let them 'M'odify things, but cannot create or delete anything. Combine that with access to that one specific attribute and it should work.
