I'm getting a strange error when trying to use WEXP to export a module. "Unable to communicate with Word. Is it installed?"

Well to answer the question, yes it is installed... but anyway.

I've recently rebuilt my machine and re-installed DOORS onto it, now it doesn't seem to work. Before my rebuild I could do this no problem.

The other thing is when I try to use File | Export | Word no error comes up but nothing happens.

Is there some sort of registry key that DOORS is looking for to use Word? (I hope so)

Could be that you did not install the "doors.dot" and / or "WEXP.dot" file, after the rebuilt.

On NT and Windows 2000 machines they reside in "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP"

Unfortunately I have placed both .dot files in the startup folder. Anymore ideas?

It appears that either your MSWord.olb file is not installed or corrupted. You should able to find the MSWord.olb file in the same directory with the WinWord.exe file.

I had to un-install / re-install Office (Word) to get things to work.

Don't know how / what happened, but this fixed it.
