Put this in Genereal discussions but I think it's more an admin question.
We are thinking for getting rid of our windows server IA reasons and want to know if anyone has had issues with converting a database from windows to Linux Redhat 5. We're worried about graphics and if archives can be passed back and forth between the two. The graphics issues is that we a host of difference formates of pic, and a lot of them. In on module alone there is over 2000 graphics and this module is our bread and butter. Any help would be appreciated. You can also e-mail me at timothy.dowell@navy.mil |

Tim,
The server is just a server. Would going from IIS to Apache make jpegs on my Firefox look different? Now, if you're talking using a linux client instead of a Windows client, that's a whole different question. I would expect many things to work fine, like JPEGs, but many things to not, like, say, Visio diagrams. ------------------------- Kevin Murphy http://www.baselinesinc.com |
