By default, DOORS displays real numbers with 6 decimal places.
I have attached a kitchen script that creates a DXL column showing a real attribute with the selected number of decimal places. It is quite clever. Select "variable" as the number of decimal places and it removes trailing zeroes. The code snippet is a function that takes a real parameter, and the number of decimal places and returns a string representation of the real number formatted as specified.

To use copy the file realattr.dxl to DOORSHOME/lib/dxl/addins/user directory and it should appear on the formal module user menu next time you start doors.
You might want to take a look at the doors help on addins files. There are some very strange rules about the format of files used here! Select Help->DXL Reference Manual. The topic is DOORS Window Control, The DXL Library and Addins menus. Or search for "addins". ------------------------- Tony Goodman http://www.smartdxl.com |
