Answer:
The following extract from formal.dxl creates the word exporter icon on the tool bar and associates it with a callback function.

createItem ( null, null, null, null, wordIcon,
"Export to Microsoft Word",
"Export to Microsoft Word.",
"",
doorsHome "/lib/dxl/standard/export/office/word.dxl")

You can insert your own callback function as follows:

createItem ( null, null, null, null, wordIcon,
"Export to Microsoft Word",
"Export to Microsoft Word.",
"",
doorsHome "/myScripts/myWord.dxl")

You will probably want to replace the callback on the file menu as well:

createItem(alwaysOn,
"Word...",
'W',
null,
modKeyCtrl,
null,
null,
"Export the module to Microsoft Word.",
null,
doorsHome "/lib/dxl/standard/export/office/word.dxl")

We want to customize our DOORS menu structure to satisfy the needs of different user groups.
Therefore it's important to add/delete some items.
Adding is no problem (we already set the addins/projectaddins directories), but how can we delete some standard items of the menues created in the "dxl\config\baseWindowMenu.inc" without changing the code of that file.
Exists there a function which "neutralizes" the createMenu/createItem function?
Or any other approach which can solve that problem?

Thanks,
Thomas Flauger

You will not be able to remove dbExplorer menus without editing the file in which they are created, i.e. baseWindowMenu.inc files.

Thanks, Tony. Now how do I disable/dim a toolbar icon? We want our users to use our Word exporter instead of the built-in one. TIA, Ayman
