Hi,

Has anyone come across a problem when cloning modules that tables are not copied to the cloned module. This is even with the 'All objects' checkbox checked.

Regards

Never came across this problem but make sure that inn the clone module that Table Cells are enabled.
View -> Show -> Table Cells
Also, checked to make sure you have the "Main" column inserted in the view. If this column is not inserted in the current view it will appear you have no tables in the module.

I just tried this on DOORS 7.1 patch 011. Tables are NOT created in the new module. I don't know if this a known issue or not.

I just tried it from my side and no tables were created.

I am unsure which patch is installed on my side but 71122 is my build number for the client.

Ken,
have you told Telelogic support about this yet?

When you clone a sheep you don't get the old sheep's scars, just its DNA. I thought DOORS "cloning" was making the attributes the same, but not the objects.

Build 71122 is patch #3. Latest patch #12 is 71167.

Just got back from hols, so sorry about the delay.

There is one of the options to 'clone all objects' which I would have thought would include table obects. I have the latest patch installed, I've checked again and the problem still persists.

I will report this to Telelogic.

Response from Support:

The non-inclusion of tables when cloning a module is indeed intended
behaviour and not a defect. Nevertheless, I would agree with you that
this would be a desirable feature of DOORS and have therefore logged an
Enhancement Request on your behalf with reference number 5011292. It
will be considered by Product Management for implementation in a future
release.
