Answer:
Hi.

The integration with DOORS, installs as a DOORS addin and allows Change Requests ( Requirements Change Requests) to be submitted, reviewed and implemented via Synergy Change. It also includes two other facilities called Requirements Implementation - allows the tracing of requirements through to implementaion, and Requirements Gathering - allows the import of reuirements to use as the basis of a new DOORS module.

Regarding Synergy change, the integration provides a lifecycle which has to be merged with your existing lifecycle. Infact, there is two CRprocess files which must be merged with your existing lifecycle.

There is a new version, v1.1.3, which allows DOORS tables to be included in this process. The Integration installer, by default installs to DOORSHome\lib\dx\addins. Under \help it installs a Set-up and User Guide pdf, which doesn't seem to be availabe for the Telelogic Website.

Careful which version of the integration you choose: since they are dependant on particular combinations of DOORS and Synergy versions.

Regards,

Ewen

We are using DOORS and we just want integrate Synergy. We only want to associate Change Requests in Synergy, like make a link from DOORS to a Change Request, is that possible? We don't want to open CRs to change requirements, it wouldn't work with our lifecycle. Does anyone have experience with that or give me any tips? I have only read the Synergy-DOORS Integration manual and I can't find any real information on it.

I know it is possible, as Telelogic configured this for us at one of my customers. We defined an integrated process and required the tools being integrated as well. I remember one of the nice things about it was that the CR status could be synchronised into a Doors collumn, giving insight in the development status and stability of requirements.

Mark
