![]() Answer: quote: To (partially) answer my own question, we can look through all the signature info (ACL) entries and tell me their name: SignatureInfo sigInfo print getSignatureInfo(sigInfo, module(current Module),0,1,"") AccessRec ar for ar in sigInfo do { print name(ar) "\n" } Buuuuuuuuuut, it gives, "The default access record has no name" immediately. The question now becomes: How do I change the default access record for a Signature Info object? Further reflection brought me to "". Yes, our friend the null string. Of course! So the original code becomes: print set(sigInfo, p, "Everyone else") which prints nothing at all. Success! | |

We have an in-house script to 'approve' a module by appending the user's signature to the baseline. The most-commonly used option also removes everybody besides the current user from the signature configuration, so our metrics can tell if everybody who needs to have approved it has. It then adds the current user to the list.
The problem comes when the default 'Everyone else' group only has R access to that list. Then the script has no admin access to add the current user back to the list. So, we need to have 'Everyone else' set to RMA access before the list is cleared. Only thing is, using print set(sigInfo, p, "Everyone else") (which is the straightforward way of doing it) does not work. So, does anybody know how to modify the rights for the 'Everyone else' group in a signature configuration? And, what about restoring admin access to the list when 'Everyone' is set to R? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Chris Edited: 28-Mar-2006 at 02:05 by Chris Jones |
