The softDelete(module) command prompts to confirm the deletion when the module has links. Is there any way to suppress this prompt and auto delete the module presuming Yes to the prompt?

Yup, no way to do it. But you can [1] Find the link sets and delete them, THEN purge the module [2] Keep track of all such to-be-purged modules and purge them all at the end of the script. That way all the prompts occurr back-to-back and the user doesn't have to baby-sit your very long script, confirming purges every minute or so.
