Hello Heike! In general it is possible to run DOORS on Suse Linux. I have been using DOORS 7.1/8.0 on a Suse 10 Linux System. Unfortunately, Telelogic does not directly support this combination. I have experienced some problems (DOORS not starting or crashing with certain modules). Most of the time, i have been using DOORS in batch mode (integrated our SW build process), and for 99% of the time, it worked well on our Suse Server. Regards, Stefan

What Suse version did you use? I would be interested in running DOORS on a SLES 9 64 bit platform ...

Hi, in our company we use DOORS 8.1 (client) with SuSE 10.0. I installed it on a NFS server and several SuSE PCs mount the network share and work without any problems. But after I installed the latest security patches (via YOU - yast online update), the client application crashes at startup with a segmentation fault!? Any hints for this problem?

I know its possible to get a DOORS client working in Linux via Wine and other tricks. But I don't know the specifics.

I have exactly the same problem - using DOORS 8.2 on Kubuntu Feisty (x86) with everything running on my local development machine (setting up license-server, database can be quite a hassle with all the environment-settings...), I am greeted with an error (above the splash which says "initializing"):
quote:

"Caught UNIX signal segmentation fault".
I cannot get any debug-output, running doors with debug- and diagnostic-options did not produce anything so far. As I need DOORS for my thesis, this is quite a showstopper for me:-(
