![]() Answer: Hi David, did you check which access rights your particular group has to th link modules where the links shall be stored? They also need at least RMC access to them - better RMCD to allow for deletion of links. Regards Toni | |

I have a group which has RMC access to the source and target module and to the objects within these modules and yet, for some reason, a link cannot be created. I have created the linksets and linkset module. When I come in as another user, I can create links. Is there any reason a specific group can be denied the right to create a link? Also, there is no error message or any indication of failure other than the link not being created.

Hi,
I've seen this before. You need to provide the RCMD access rights on the folder in which the modules sit. If users just have read access on the folder they can't create the links even if they have appropriate rights on the individual modules. Edited: 21-May-2007 at 11:56 by Andrew Jarvis |

Thank you for your reponse. I had already given the group RMC access to the folder without any success. When I gave RMC to the link module the group was able to create links.
I just wish DOORS complained better when it is unable to create a link. |
