Hi All

Does anyone have any idea how to point to a database server that is on a different domain, whilst running in batch mode please?

"c:\Program Files\telelogic\DOORS 7.1\bin\Doors.exe" -u username -P password -b "\\script_path\script.dxl" -data 36677@server exit_()

Thank you in advance for any help.

I think you just answered your own question.

Your command line looks good except for the exit_() at the end - you don't want that.

Hi Tony

Thanks for the reply.
Perhaps I didn't explain my problem that well.
If I run the batch file from a PC in the 'bluezone' domain i.e. \\bluezone\mpc
can you point to a server on the 'yellowzone' domain?

Simply adding .yellowzone.net to the server name doesn't work.

I think thats the kind of thing I'm after, how to put a more qualified server address in the commandline.

Thanks

Question you haven't answered is: Can you ping the server on yellowzone from the bluezone.

If you can't perform the ping, you need to check with your IT department.

Hi Ron

Yep, thats a good question! Silly to overlook this.

I can ping, with no answer. I get timeout.
A 'tracert' hops 5 times and then stalls, so I guess its not completely reaching the server somewhere.

So I guess thats the first issue to address!

Forgive my oversight.

Thanks
