Hi All,
We are adding attributes to different templates which are then used for preparing modules. I find that in these modules many attributes are not being used at all and I do not foresee that they will be used in future. What is the contribution of these unused attributes to the overall size of the module and the database? What are the gains by deleting these attributes from these modules? - Krishna |

Would probably depend on the attribute(s) you are talking about. I personally wouldn't delete any system attributes (i.e. attributes predefined by DOORS) as there is probably a reason for them being there.
If they are user created attributes, go ahead and delete them if their not being used, it can help avoid confusing your users and having them misused. All that being said, I don't think the unused attribute is going to add any significant size to the module or database. ------------------------- Scott Boisvert Engineering Tools Administrator L-3 Communications - Avionics Systems scott.boisvert@l-3com.com |

Thanks for the response.
I searched for unused attributes for the object only in the modules. System, module and dxl attributes are not included in the search. - Krishna |
