Hi When I try to archive certain module or project the Doors wizard gives me the following message: "Invalid combination of Multi-Volume parameters" and doesn't complete the archive.. Any ideas of why is this happening? |

I'm working from shakey memory here, but that's never stopped me before: In the ancient days when computers were young, meaning about 8 years ago, disk space was rare and folks used floppies a lot. DOORS implemented the ability to archive directly to a floppy and let you opt to 'span volumns' which means you expect the archive to be larger than .6mb ..err.. 1.2mb ..err.. 1.44mb. After partially archiving to the first floppy it would prompt you to remove the #1 floppy an insert a new #2 floppy, etc.
IIRC, DOORS now generates an error if you select 'span volumns' in the GUI or set the Span Volumns parameter true using DXL; if the target volumn is not removeable. Thus, if you archive to disk C: you cannot span volumns. - Louie You know you are getting old if you recall Bill Gates saying "Nobody is going to need more than 64kb of Memory". |
