Can we give permission to edit selective Attributes within a module, Example (if you have 5 attributes in a module and you want users to edit 3 of the 5.)

You can restrict access to certain attributes via: Edit menu >Attributes. Select an attr and 'edit' it. You can restrict access to the [1] Definition, which will prevent folks from deleting the attribute or stopping it from recording History etc, or [2] Values, which will prevent folks from changing the values for the objects.
This sort of restricted access is difficult to manage over several modules. So, while I'm at it, here are the things for which you can restrict accesses [1] Projects [2] Folders [3] Modules [4] Objects [5] Attr Defs [6] Attr Values [7] Attr Types [8] Views. I guess there is also [9] Groups and maybe print layouts and DB display schemes. - Louie |
