I recently create a Dialog Box to create new users and is working excellent, thank to all the member of this forum for helping me out in the creation of this tool.
Now I want to dynamically populate all the fields using the outlook properties information for the specific user I'm going to create using the alias property. I know there is ways to integrate tools using API and the OLE Object, but sincerely I have not use any of those. If anyone have an idea, is more than welcome. I am just thinking off of the top of my head, and I don't have an outlook application in front of me.
I am not sure that you can access properties for the current user without going through the GAL. If you need to interface with the GAL, your users are going to get a warning message. There is a plugin for VBA called "Redemption" that will allow you to access the GAL via VBA. I used this (but not with DXL) to access properties in the GAL. Wish I could help more. Hope this at least starts you off on the right path. If you don't have to go through the GAL, this ought to be much easier. Keep us posted. ------------------------- Kevin Murphy http://www.baselinesinc.com |
