Hi
I would like to find out what is the purpose of the following module:"Change Proposal Staple Links", I've noticed that when I link between 2 modules the link are going thru this specific module instead "Doors Links" I would appreciate your remarks Alex |

'Change Proposal Staple Links' exists in the 'Change Proposal System' folder only; its created when you activate CPS for a project.
'Stapling' is a CPS feature. It appears to mean if you staple a slave CP to a master CP and approve the Master, the slave is also approved and will then get applied. What it really means is 'the slave is a useless duplicate of the Master' and is now dead on arrival. Instead of Stapling one would be better served to just reject the slave, commenting why. Anyway, CPs staples to other CPs using that links module. You should not be manually linking anything in the CPS folder, but if you do you would use the default link module, or when that's empty the module defined for each user, which by default is DOORS Links. If your links ARE going into this module then someone has defined a default link module to do so; or your user properties are set up to do so. Open the source module Edit, then File >>Properties >>Links. You should see the DLM there. - Louie |
