I want to elliminate all bolding from the Object Text, but preserve all other formatting. Will this strategy work:

o get the RichText of the Object Text
o Tack on the no-bold formatting of "\\b0 "
o Write the whole thing back to the Object Text.

Or do I have to do something really strange like look at each rt chunk in the text, find the ones that are bold, then rebuild the rt chunk without the bold formatting and rebuild the entire string?

Louie,

I don't think the outlined strategy will work, because any "nested" bold markup will supercede the outer "unbold" markup. Have you tried it yet?

Your latter "strange" strategy is one I have used in the past with some success.
