Hi everybody. i'm writing a VBA script for powerpoint, which enables the user to
insert a link to a doors module. it's working fine, but if i want to show a module,
which already is open, but minimized, i have a problem.

the following code (DXL, now) happens to cause an internal error:

Module m = current
show window m

any ideas? can i access all window states of all applications from doors(or via vb)?

thanks in advance

DOORS 8.1 also includes bringToFront(Module) which might also help.
The same function, used with no paramters, brings the database explorer to the front.

I have not actually tried this yet, just quoting from the documentation!

By the way, I have tried using window handles and they do not work. At least I could find no way of getting them to work.

Check out this thread for a possible way to control DOORS windows using VBA through DXL. I created an include file to allow you to easily control individual module windows to hide, show, minimize, or mazimize them. It requires a free, third-party application called "AutoIt" available from http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3.

thanks everybody for your help, we upgraded to 8.1 this month so i guess i get this fixed. what i not hope for is that the new doors url's make my script redundant.
