![]() Answer: Perhaps you are creating the skip(s) using "create" instead of "createString". In general if the skip keys are strings, you should use "createString" instead of "create". | |

We are trying to do a simple counting using skiplists, but we are confronted with two functions that apparently are not working; find and delete.
For "find" we wrote our own function, but for delete we did not succeed in creating it. The question, however, is: what are we doing wrong here. Why does neither the find work, nor the delete? See code below. Any help much appreciated. - Pieter ------------------------- Pieter de Waard www.nhindustries.com |

Gallion is probably right: when the "Key" is type string use "createString" to create it. Well, he's right if you insert "keyvals" as strings rather than exclusively as string variables.
Also, the "KeyVal" must be unique, of course. Also you need to delete before you can re-insert a new Data value; i++ in this case. There might also be an issue using the "&" in the call parameter; but I'm too lazy to track that one down. I use Skip Lists all the time and they seem to work. - Louie |

Thanks, the createString did the trick! - Pieter ------------------------- Pieter de Waard www.nhindustries.com |
