Hello, I have a module with approximately 4500 objects and multiple attributes. I use this to control a lot of information in one place, but allows flexibility to form tables using filtering (saved as Views) for exporting to Excel/Word.
But this is very cumbersome, as you might expect. With over a 100 views, it takes hours to select a new view, wait for it to appear, export, save, etc over and over. There has to be a way to do this better through DOORS. Any suggestions? |

Both the excel and word export script could be modified to
iterate thru views and export the views. |

Take a look at the new version of DocExpress. You set up a 'template' for how objects are displayed in Word (can be a table, or fancy formatting etc), then use an attribute to control which objects are exported in which 'format'. You need to spend a little while reading the documentation, but it's definitely worth the effort.
