I'm having a bit of brain fade, guys.
If I've given a user RC (+MD) access to a module, which they the open as read-only, why are the Edit->Edit Mode Shareable and Exclusive Edit menu items greyed out? |

I've had two coffees now and still can't see it :-(
I can change edit modes from read only and I know you don't need to be Admin to do that. |

Alan,
No coffee necessary. This is a bug in DOORS 7.1, which you stated you were on. If I recall correctly, this bug occurs when the module has been setup for shareable. You can close the module completely and open it in any mode you like, but you can't switch modes. Good luck. ------------------------- Kevin Murphy http://www.baselinesinc.com |

Are you sure? I've not noticed this as a problem in 7.1 before, and I've changed edit modes on both of our modules that have been set up for shareable edit many times, as have others.
This appears to be something specific to one user. The only thing I can think of is that although the user is part of the group that has access to edit the module, the user was created and added to that group AFTER the module was set to be shareable. |
