![]() Answer: There is another posting about a third party encrypter (Qcrypt). The screen shots for Qcrypt look like they use functions within DOORS to encrypt the files. Does anyone have any more information about this? | |

Many of the DOORS supplied include files are encrypted. Anybody have any luck:
o Decrypting so we can take a peak at them? o Encrypting your own DXL so users cannot copy-then-change them? - Louie |

Louie --
When I took a Telelogic DXL scripting class, the instructor (from Telelogic) said that you can send any script to them and they will encrypt it for no charge. Pete ------------------------- pete.kowalski(at)motorola.com |

Pete,
Who taught your class? I have been asking our Telelogic rep about this, and he says that they offer this as a "pay service," but admits that they have never done it for anybody before. I don't understand why they don't release an encoder without releasing a decoder...I guess that would make it easier to reverse engineer (knowing both the exact input and output), but most of us interested in encryption just want to keep the honest folks honest. Maybe they could release a "simplified" version of the encoder for users and keep their "better" encoder for themselves (giving them additional security). Pete,
I called my Telelogic rep. this morning, they said this is not for free. You talked with Jorge Henriques himself and asked him to encode the script for you? What is Jorge Henriques' email address? thanks, hong |

Hong:
I don't remember who did it since I wasn't the one personally that sent in the script. I will find out who it was though. Jorge's email was given in my original post. Here it is again. <FONT color=#0000ff>jorge.henriques@telelogic.com</FONT> ------------------------- pete.kowalski(at)motorola.com Edited: 28-Mar-2003 at 16:43 by Pete Kowalski |
