With DOORS 7.1 when exporting Word to DOORS, all Word heading styles > level 9 end up in DOORS as level 9.
The import rich text capability allows mapping of the Word levels > 9 to the matching DOORS heading levels. Am I doing something wrong when exporting Word to DOORS? My customer has a very large spec that we must load into DOORS and it is tedious to manually edit the objects to the correct levels after loading with the Word export to DOORS capability. I believe DOORS 8.2 works this way also. |

John,
if you switch to outline view in Word, does the document display the hierarchy correctly (ie does it stagger the headings properly beyond 9)? If the customer document has Headings greater than 9, then DOORS should just import them with the relevant Level number, as far as I'm aware. It sounds more like Word has reached its default level limit and just applied Level 9 to any Headings that don't comply. Could you provide an example section of the document?
