Not really a defect or problem, but something I just discovered that I thought I might flag up. This will only be an issue if you are going to run DXL on 8.1 that was developed on 8.2.

The charcater class functions isprint(), isalpha(), isgraph(), isalnum() etc return different results for 8.1 and 8.2.

Basically, characters in he extended ASCII character set (decimal 128 to 255) are recognised as printable characters in 8.2, but not in 8.1.
