![]() Answer: the 'minstall' option of program 'doorsd.exe' lets you do it. Look for 'ministall' in the DOORS Help. | |

I'd like to add a 2nd test database on our existing 8.1 DOORS server running on Windows2003 server, to occasionally copy our production db off so we can test new features and blow it up, etc. |

Hi John.
Run the DOORS server installer and where it prompts you for the DOORS data directory put in another directory location - e.g D:\DOORS_DATA2 instead of D:\DOORS_DATA. When it asks you for a port, enter a different one, which is not already in use. e.g instead of 36677 enter 36678. You'll then have two doors servers. To connect your client to this other server, create a DOORS short cut on your desktop and in the target add: -d "36678@myservername" after "C:bla\doors.exe" Regards, Ewen Miller QinetiQ |

Thanks all for your help.
We used minstall a couple of weeks ago and it worked fine. There are procedures in the admin docs. -JohnH |
