![]() Answer: We use it quite a bit with CITRIX, both via a web interface and with the Citrix Neighborhood agent 9.23 and it runs quite well. Be aware of the install instructions noting that you cannot have the DOORS DB SERVER on the CITRIX machine that has the client. Not sure why, but that is what they say. Recently we were having some issues with one project, where users get hung processes, but that is probably due to a corrupt project (they had some problems earlier, unrelated to CITRIX). So, DOORS works great in CITRIX! One hint... have it set up so that ulogin.bat gets called on startup and assigns net use v: \\computername\c$ so that users can save files to their workstation and import from their workstation. | |

We are about to install and run a Citrix Metaframe Server V4 for our DOORS database at first with DOORS vers 7.1 and then to migrate to version 8.1. As this is new to us, we would like to here if their are problems or experiences with Citrix. We will be using the server to open up our database, one Project only, to give direct access by our major Contracter. Later this will be followed by the customer and other sub-Contracters, thus we will be using one database for complete Project Requirement Management.

Typically the experiences with Citrix have been positive, DOORS performance is better, you can use DOORS over a WAN effectively and administration is easier, as there is only one client to update.
You can read more expriences by running local search on Citrix in these forums . ------------------------- Pekka.Makinen@softqa.fi SoftQA Oy -http://www.softqa.fi/ |
