Does anybody have a script lying around ( :-) ) that creates an interface allowing the user to select an attribute, then display a summary of all entries found for that attribute in the (a) view or (b) module?

The SkipList part is straightforward (although the use of susch a feature should be limited to text attributes not containing too much free text; more to attributes having "more or less" a defined content. Of course the enum type is ideal, but in some cases we still prefer the freedom of the text attribute), but the interface part is what I'm looking for. Attribute pull-down list, display of results, etc.

The source for the Statistics tool (Tools/Functions/Statistics -- lib/dxl/standard/fns/doorsst.dxl) seems to be readable.
It looks like it covers at least some of what you're after.

Coincidentally, I have actually just added an attribute analysis utility for download from the following site. It's a relatively basic script but should provide the functionality you require.

C4 Systems forum

The utility is in the "Dxl scripts" forum. I'm in the process of creating a repository for scripts other users may find useful. Hope this helps.
