Does anyone know of a DXL capable of sorting a DOORs table by the contents of the 1st row in the table.
In the past I have had to export to EXCEL then import after sorting. Just wondering if anyone has done this in DXL (and if the DXL is available).
Thanks,

Bad news I am afraid.

You cannot move table cell or table row objects.
This means that there is no way in DXL to reorder the objects in a table.

The only solution is to create new cell and row objects, copy attributes across, and then delete the original objects. This is messy and will screw up your identifiers and will cause problems if you have links.

I actually made a DXL script which sorts the DOORS native tabels. It does NOT move the objects around since it is impossible according to previous responses.
This script actually swaps the attributes of the cells of the table.
In order for this to work the table has to be "symmetric" (i.e. every row has the same amount of cells) and the cells can not have in- or outgoing links.
