Just curious if there is a way to identify the DOORS Server you are connecting to during the start up  of the client.

What I'm looking to do is this.

We have two DOORS databases on two seperate servers.  Server 1 and Server 2 for instance.  So the database address (?) looks 36677@server1 and 36677@server2.  During startup of the client I want to check if the user is connecting to server 1 or server 2, and if they are connecting to server 2 I want them to use a different set of startup config files (i.e. formal.dxl). Both servers are connected to using the same client, we just modified the short cut on one of the icons with the -d switch to point the other server.

Any ideas about how I would go about doing this? Is it even possible?  I haven't been able to find anything in the DXL documentation about pulling the database address (?), but I may be searching for the wrong words.

Thanks all.

Not quite. Its:
print getenv("DOORSDATA") "\n"

<all uppercase 'DOORSDATA' is required>

variable 'data' is the default defined in the registry, but DOORSDATA is the one actually used, which could be overridden via a command line switch (in the 'target' of the DOORS icon used).
