I am getting "Deletion of <project name> failed. Insufficient access" pop-up window.

I created the project and have full-control. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,
Jeff

You need RMCD to the project. Your user options must include the ability to "Create Projects" (DB admin or custom user).

You also need RMCD to everything IN the project: if someone has given you specific R access to their module then you cannot delete the project. I hate it when that happens.

For now perhaps you'd like to rename the project to "zzToBeDeleted" while you investigate.

I have RMCDA access rights to the project and still unable to delete. The project is empty. I have tried everything underneath the sun.

Thanks,
Jeff

We have run into this problem before when the access to a project is through a group instead of an individual user name. If you are getting your access through a group, I would try adding yourself individually, then delete the project.

You can also look at Manage Locks. If anything is locked (including a folder) within the project, you will not be able to delete it. We have not seen this particular problem with v7, but it happened a lot with v5 and v6.

If that doesn't work, we have sometimes needed to log in as Administrator to delete things.

Is it empty? Go to >Views and show everything; link modules, descriptive modules, deleted item; everything.

SWAGs:

[1] Put the DB folder in the left pane and single-select the project in the right pane.
[2] The DB properties has you with "RMC" access, allowing you to create but not delete.

You may still have a lock on the project. Make sure that you are focused on another project and then check for locks.
From the project window choose Tools>Manage Locks, if your project is displayed in the dialog box, select it and then unlock.
You should now be able to delete the project.
If not, contact DOORS support, there could be a locked file on your server.
