Thanks for the reply. I was just learning about Oracle's OLE automation. One thing I am trying to avoid is to be trapped into client/server mode (install oracle on DOORS client side). Oracle db is on Unix, Doors on Windows. Idea set up will be to dynamically poplulate Oracle data to a view when a DOORS user select it. Limited kwonledge on Visual Basic too. Do you have any example codes to elaborate a little bit more?

I was studying in DOORS API. I was thinking if I can connect Oracle through DOORS API commands, run a pre-written sql script which generates a text file at DOORS client side, so the client can read the file and write to dxl columns or attributes. Could not find enough examples to really understand how API commands work. Can use some help in this area too.

Hello,
I am trying to capture the data present in Oracle DB.

While I was searching the forum for the related queries, I hit across the query posted my Mr Marc Chetrit and Mr Chang.

I will be very thankful, if any DOORS-Oracle geeks, can provide me some idea or a code snippet to get the information out of Oracle.

Hope somebody will answer this SOS call.

Regards,
Shyam
