The code below works when I copy and paste it into the Edit DXL script dialog box, (when viewing my module), but I can't get the DXL script to appear in my ModuleAddins dropdown box. I tried copying another DXL script that was showing in my ModuleAddins, renamed it (it still appeared), but as soon as I copied my code into that new DXL script, it disappears from my ModuleAddins dropdown??
Any thoughts on why?? ------------------------- Brenda Heiss Cornell Edited: 7-May-2007 at 22:24 by Brenda Cornell |

Can we see the code?
![]() I have a hunch though you don't have the required: //Name of your DXL Script here /* * Block comment here */ at the beginning of your file. For it to put the name of the file in the User pull down menu, it looks for a comment followed by the start of a block comment. It uses the name you put in the first comment as the name of the menu item in the User pull down. ------------------------- David Pechacek AAI Services Textron dpechacek@sc-aaicorp.com David.Pechacek@gmail.com |

Yes, all DXL to appear in the menus need a comment line and a comment block 'near' the top of the file. I'm not sure how near but mine are at the top also. I think the relevant info is the first comment line and the first comment block, and the line must come before the block.
The name that appears in the DOORS menu is either the name correctly defined in the menu's corresponding IDX file, or if there is no such line then its the name of the DXL file itself. The comment line and block information appear when 'browsing' the DXL library (from a module). The comment line appears in the tree view and the comment block appears when you single-select a particular script while still browsing. - Louie |
