Hi all,

i´ve got a question: Is it possible to define a Type for a Column with diffrent Values, dependent on the Level. (only the last level for each node)

for example:

1.A          <------- nothing to see
1.1 xxxxx <------- nothing to see
1.2 yyyyy <------- nothing to see
1.2.1 uuuuuuu <------- Enumeration yes/no
2.B                <------ nothing
2.1. dfsfsf       <------ nothing
2.1.1 iiiiiiiiiiiiii  <------ Enumaration yes/no

You can use Attr DXL to change what the user SEES by coding it so its sensitive to the level of the object. But I think you are asking to provide a GUI selectable value as well as something to see. There may be an Attr-DXL 'canvas' solution but I've never actually dealt with canvases.

You could write a normal attribute Yes/No, and also have a post-attr-save Trigger which disallows attribute save when the level of the object is illegal. That means the user could select Yes/No for level 2 objects, but when done it would erase and optionally tell him what happened.

Utz:

You may want to take a look at this Tony Goodman script to see how something like this can be accomplished.

Hi,

I experimented with the this utility .
It only allows to assign one value to the "sun category". I would like to have the capability such as multi-value attribute. Do you know if there is a version to accomplish this? May be Tony has a solution.

Also I could not get the menu item to show up on the "edit popup". I did load into the following directory as suggested.
DOORSHOME/lib/dxl/config/formalPopupFiles

Any comments?

Thanks,
