I am having more failures in DOORS with the same module that was having the EXCEPTION_ACESS_VIOLATION error. Now we are unable to open the module at all and get the following error message:
Unable to open module 'module path and name' Section file could not be opened: No such file or directory D:\DOORS\DOORS7.1\data\v6data\60\00\m00000d78.mod\current.ver\t10000de.dtc I found a file with the same name, but a .dtn extension. I copied it, changed it to a .dtc and the module worked for a short time. The error came back and I need to fix this for good. Anybody run across this or know how to fix it? |

Well, *.dtb files are the most recent 'B'ackup of the *.dtc 'C'urrent file. Never seen *.dtn, no doubt its the 'N'incampooped version.
You have database corruption and should contact Telelogic. They are going to want a copy of the module, probably both an archive of it as well as the entire "m00000d78.mod" folder of it. I'd set the module straight, archive and copy that folder, then force it into exception violation, then archive (if you can) and send the folder again. - Louie |

Louie,
I submitted a support case with Telelogic this morning, and still haven't been contacted by them. And just to clarify your response....you were suggesting to archive the module and have a copy of the .mod folder for two instances: 1)when the module is functioning properly 2)when the module is unable to be opened. Let me know if this is what you were getting at, or clarify if not. Thanks for the reply too! ![]() Edited: 14-Aug-2007 at 20:46 by Corey Carroll |

Telelogic finally emailed me today. They suggested to change the .dtb file (being the backup as Louie said) to a .dtc file and see what happens. I have not had any issues since yesterday after I changed the .dtn file to .dtc for the second time. They also requested a zip file of the .mod directory for the module, but I was unable to send it to them due to it being 78MB zipped. |

Corey,
Ask Telelogic to give you FTP access so you can FTP it to them. I do this all the time with my data. ------------------------- pete.kowalski(at)motorola.com |

Thanks, Pete, I will do that in the future. They said they don't want to see the files unless the problem arises again.
