When making streams, etc, we can use relative paths such that in a piece of DXL running at the Module level will look at the Addins folder as the base point. However, if we want to delete a file, it doesn't work, nor does it give an error.

The same goes for "readFile()" - this function can't handle relative paths either. Any clues how to get around this?

another funny note: when using relative pathes, it doesnt seem we can use "./filename.txt" but rather have to move at least one folder away such as "../temp" or "./temp"

Your code works for me. Of course the relative path of "../" for me goes to C:\Program Files\Telelogic\DOORS_8.3

Not a subfolder of the addins directory. Perhaps that is your issue, you're looking for results in the wrong place.

I suppose my setup is a bit different than most: in the DOORS icon from which I launch DOORS, I specify a Module-level addin folder with the "-a" flag, and a database-level addin folder with the "-J" flag. Perhaps if i had no flags, it would work for me as well.

Any clue how I can obtain the full path of either of these addin folders using DXL? It's like an environment variable, so perhaps I could grab it and use that full path instead of the relative path.
