Hi all,
when exporting modules to HTML, I know how to launch the Internet Explorer to show the exported html file using OLE. However, I just found out that the IE offers to save a web page as Web archive (.mht), one single file which includes all images in unicode. This is quite nice when one wants to exchange an exported document, as you then don't have to bother about all the images probably included in the web page. So I wanted to make this an option, but I failed in finding a OLE "Save as" method for the Internet Explorer. Does any one know it such a method exists and how I can call it? Thanks in advance, Peter |

Peter here is the command and some of the syntax:
objIE.ExecWB 4,2, "myfile" objIE.ExecWB 3,1, "myfile" Options: 4 = save as 3 = save 1 = prompt 2 = no prompt Edited: 2-Feb-2008 at 11:43 by ron lewis |

Hi Ron,
thanks a lot for the info. It partly works, i.e. I can invoke the "Save As" dialogue box. Unfortunately, though, I can't call it without prompt, nor can I force it to save the content as Web archive. When using "4,2", IE still opens a save dialogue box, with only HTML and text files as options. But again, thanks for pointing in this direction, Peter |

Peter, unless you can live with the options I showed or figure out a workaround, you are pretty much stuck -- IE doesn't provide much options in the area you are looking at. But there are workarounds using other objects.

Well, for the time being I can live with the user interaction to actively click a button in the save as dialogue. Thanks again for your help,
Peter |
