![]() Answer: To clarify my question, how would I ONLY display links to deleted objects but NOT links to non-deleted objects? Something like: if (!isDeleted othero) continue Update: I tried this and it works perfectly. Thanks, Ken. | |

Is there an easy way to display in-links from deleted objects (hopefully displaying the linked module and object id), or is this going to require yet another DXL?
Thanks, Ken. |

Hi Ken,
you could use a standard trace column but you need to remove the line: if (isDeleted othero) continue from the code. --> then deleted target objects will be displayed too. Greetings Reik ------------------------- Evosoft GmbH for Siemens Industry Sector Berlin, Germany |

The GUI doesn't let you do that. But you can use the wizard to create a layout column of linked partners, then edit that code to replace the 'if (isDeleted(othero)) continue' line to 'if(!isDeleted(othero)) continue', thus displaying linked deleted objects.
Note that you can delete an object with outgoing links. You cannot delete an object with incoming links, but if you delete the incoming links, delete the target object, save the targe module, but then close without saving the source module, then you can have a deleted object with incoming links. I hate it when that happens. - Louie |
