Hello all,
Fairly new to doors. We've created a requirements document and put a Data Dictionary section within it. Each row of the Data Dictionary section represents a given field/attribute. We've done internal links from each Data Dictionary object to a requirement within the same module. So, we've got a bunch of internal links. We've reached a point where this is unwieldy to manage/maintain, so we want to create a new module just for the Data Dictionary and link from that module to the main requirements module. What we want to do is export our Data Dictionary from the current module, import it into a new module, and maintain all of the links. Is this possible? If so, how can we do it? Thanks! |

Unless you have a dxl script to do this task for you, the easiest way may be to make a copy of the original module -- then use link-by-attribute to create the links.
Then delete what you don't want in each module. Other approach is Select Tools>Functions>Copy Objects, to copy your objects. Then use link by attributes. Edited: 11-Mar-2008 at 11:38 by ron lewis |
