![]() Answer: Having discussed this with Telelogic, it would appear that my version of WExp was corrupted. After being supplied with v11.4.10, all is well. Thanks again for your help. | |

Good afternoon!
FM299-2634 is the last object in my module and is not an OLE. In fact, I get this error 35 times, one for each cross reference I am trying to put in to the document. I have created a captions for each of my OLE object that displays correctly. The caption has its own object ID (e.g. FM299-3988). Following the WEXP user manual I entered the following text in an object that needs to contain the cross-reference: [XREF: 3988]

I did some research into this area several months ago and found that the field command, as stated in the WEXP User Guide, must be "on its own" in the object text and cannot be appended to anything, ie Mary had a little lamb, see {ref Lamb} doesn't work, however {ref Lamb} on its own in the object text works and reports the contents of the bookmark Lamb. It is possible to append more than one field so my solution was { QUOTE "Mary had a little lamb " } {ref Lamb}.

Well, in contrast to what Martin wrote the cross referencing works fine the way it is described in the User Guide with our version of WEXP: 11.4.10.
Maybe there is a different behaviour for different versions. Karl |

Thanks guys for your help. Unfortunately, creating a new DOORS object with only [XREF: 3988] as Object Text doesn't help either. I'm stuck!
