Hi,
I'm unable to insert a VISIO 2000 OLE Object in a doors object, when I try to Insert->OLE Object->Dessin VISIO 2000, the error message appears: "Object could not be inserted" Best Regards. ------------------------- David POIRET e-mail: david.poiret@messier-bugatti.com |

Looks like you are creating a new Visio object in a new DOORS object. This won't work if the current client doesn't have Visio installed, nor of course if you don't have C access. Perhaps you intend to create the Visio object, copy it, then paste it into an existing DOORS object while the Object Text is being edited and the cursor is where you want the OLE.

Hi Louie,
Of course if I copy and paste a VISIO Object in a Doors Object, The Object is correctly inserted but I double click on the VISIO object then there is an Error Message "Unable to activate OLE object !" Best Regards. ------------------------- David POIRET e-mail: david.poiret@messier-bugatti.com |

Hi David,
ok so you do have visio installed. Is it possible to insert the visio in a winword-document and doubleclick on it in the word document and get visio opened. It should in principal be the same activation procedure. If this fails, the ole-activation for visio objects is not working. Before we go further let me know what the check was. Regards Hubertus |
