All

We wanted to utilize an ole object (table) in one of our business rules but when we attempted to display it in a traceability view, the ole object did not appear. Is there a way to get this to work? Please advise. Thanks!

Look at the DXL in the traceability column.
To do this right-click on the column header, select properties, click browse, click current.

Thre should be a call at the bottom of the DXL to displayRichWithOle() rather than display() or displayRich().

If you created the traceability column using the Analysis Wizard, on the 5th screen of the wizard there is a check box to tell it to include OLE objects in the column.

If you wrote your own layout DXL, you can use the functions to specifically get/show OLE objects (as described in the previous post) or use the probeRichAttr_ function to get the data and set the last parameter to true

i.e. s = probeRichAttr_(othero,"Object Text", true)

then you can use displayRich to display the OLE in the column.
