![]() Answer: I don't want to be picky, but I think the above is generally not a good idea. Although the Object Text can't be seen anymore, it still occupies the place on the screen. And I would guess that the original poster would like to have the "link arrow column" to be relatively narrow, probably the width of the link arrows. Even with little Object Text, this automatically results in extremely high rows with a lot of wasted space on the screen. As sad as it is, for the time being it seems we do have to live with the bundle of link arrows and Main column. Regards, Peter | |

I'd like to be able to display a column just containing the link arrows (with the arrows having their normal navigational capability). From what I've seen in the postings, no one has figured out how to add them to a layout DXL column. Does anyone know how to get them in a column with no other content (such as hacking up the main column somehow)?
An even better option would be the ability to put a clickable button in a column, but that also appears to be not possible. Thanks Al |

Well, this is a kludge, but nevertheless:
- create a new enumerated type containing just one value and set the color for that value to be white (or what ever is the background color for your DOORS clients) - create a new attribute which will have a default value of the one and only value listed in the above type (so that each and every object gets that value) - set the DOORS main column to get it's color from the new attribute ...end result is that the Object Heading and Object Text content is not anymore seen as they are the same color as the background Note: - you can have many main columns (or Object Heading and Object Text) in the view - some of the items in main column are not hidden by setting the text color the same as the backgroud e.g. URL links, DOORS table grids etc. ------------------------- Pekka.Makinen@softqa.fi SoftQA Oy -http://www.softqa.fi/ |
