I have my DXL script placed at a location "http://abc//DXLScript//2.dxl" ffice So when I try to implement a batch process like doors - b "http://abc//DXLScript//2.dxl" - u "Username" - P "Password" I am getting an error that batch file could not be found .. Is there any solution to pass the DXL present in an address location to the batch process. I would be very much thankful if any one suggest me a solution. |

The name of the file needs to be a Windows recognized file name. I've never tried it but am fairly sure your http: addressing won't work. As Karl said you need to change the file into something like the following:
[1] \\ServerName\FolderName\DXLScript\2.dxl when located on a server [2] c:\abc\DXLScript\2.dxl when located on your client [3] s:\FolderName\abc\DXLScript\2.dxl when located on a mapped drive. I've got a *.bat file that looks like this: "C:\...\bin\doors.exe" -u Administrator -P "MyPassword" -b "C:\DOORS-Stuff\DXL-Local\Ready\ArchiveDB-Batch.dxl" You can use forward slashes I believe. Double slashes are required to preceed a network ServerName (see [1] above); I believe double slashes are illegal in other parts of the name. If you can find the file with Windows Explorer then so can DOORS. - Louie |
