A formal module containing over 4200 objects and associated links appears to behave differently when opened in "exclusive edit" and "read only" modes.

In particular, a series of objects appear to have an object level of 4 when opened in read-only mode. When the edit mode is changed to "exclusive edit" this same object has an object level of 2.

My concern here is twofold. First, is the database corrupted? That is, are there other defects that I cannot see at this time? Second, can the database be repaired or must it be restored?

This module represents many many man hours of work - I would very much like to salvage as much as possible.

Never heard of that.

I'd tripple check to make sure that what appears to be the case is in fact the case. Be sure to turn off all filters and sorts etc, and be sure to display the Object level.

I'd copy the module and paste it as a new one, then see if the copy has the same features. If its fixed, then I'd just use the old module, althouogh you'd have to relink it.

Hello John, I also had this problem with a module. If opened in read-only mode the structure was not displayed correctly. Some Level 1 - objects where shown at level 3. After changing the edit mode from read-only to shareable edit or exclusive edit, the structure was displayed in the right way. In my case the problem could be fixed by creating an archive of the module / complete project. After restoring the archive the structure was displayed in the right way. Regards, Frank
