I'm trying to create something that characterises the user groups, users, permissions in order to document a database setup.
Thought I'd start with the 'for group in groupList example do { ...}' How does one initialise groupList in order to avoid the unassigned variable error? Are there any good code snippets for characterising what users can or can't do lurking around ;-) ? |

'groupList' is system defined and you cannot "initialize" it.
Attached find some code I tweaked written by someone else. It simply displays which groups have each user and which users are in each group. - Louie |

My task is to reorganize the access rights given in our projects. I would like to do some of the work with a script:
1. to uncheck the box "Access Inherited" of the formal modules 2. delete all given access rights 3. add certain groups with fixed rights By the way, this is my first born script... Module mod for mod in current do { // set to not inherited specific (mod) // no idea how to delete the already exsting rights //set access rights set (mod, read|modify|create|delete, "smith") } Can anybody enlighten me how to do it right? Thanks, Hiltrud |

Don't have time to track down the access code stuff, but consider the attached code to get started.
