Have a question, whenever I copy a module using DXL, it makes the copy of the module in the same folder/project as the original module.

If I include a path in the name of the destination module (e.g., /dest/modulecopy) in order to copy this module to a different path then I get an error in the copy statement saying that an illegal character "/" was used.

The documentation states that I can put a relative path in the argument but that does not seem to work.

How do I copy a module from one project into another project? I could make the copy and then move it. I have not tried that yet.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Shawn Wilson

Perhaps you need the "\" character instead of the "/" character. To code that in DXL use a double "\\".

You also need to be cognizant of the notion of "current" folder; which may not be the folder containing the "current" module (I don't recall); and I suspect that relative paths you use will be relative to that.

Thanks Louie. I tried switching the slash and it still didn't work. I also tried the double and that didn't work although I may not have tried the double both ways.

I ended up just moving the module after I copied it and that worked. It was still quite a pain to keep track of the folders and such but now functional.

Appeciate the help,
Shawn
