Hi All,
Can anybody advise on how to remove attribute header/name/title from a Word Export. I have a view with Main Body text and 2 dxl attributes. When I export the main body is fine, but in front of the attributes the attribute name is placed, when all I want is the attribute values, as formatted in the view. The altentative is to use a Word macro to remove, but surely you can turn off attibute name at start of word export? Any help would be appreciated. Jason |

Assuming you're using WEXP and wish to add the values of your dxl columns below the main text then... Set the column title to be a single underscore, "_", in order to ensure that column value is exported without a label. If you wish to force a specific Word style for that column value, set the column title to be "_:StyleName" where StyleName is your chosen Word Style. I've used this quite a lot for various purposes. The most recent being adding comments to a customer spec while keeping it in the format they were familiar with. We set up a style which indented and boxed our comments - it made them stand out well. There's a section called "Exporting from views" in the WEXP help file with a little more detail. Catherine. ------------------------- Catherine Weir |

If you are using the word.dxl file loacted the following lines
and comment out the lines as so void wordDumpColumnValueVBA (Object o, Column c) { string errMess //collapseSelection setRichClip richText " " //"{ {\\i "(title c) "} :}" //prints the title of the columns in the output errMess = oleMethod(objSel, cMethodPaste) ------------------------- jobina.l.johnson@boeing.com ![]() |

Hi Catherine and Jobina,
I came with a variation on Jobina's recommendation, by commenting out titlestring from Word.dxl I will try the WEXP version today, to see which is easiest. Thanks again Jason |
