I commonly use
(for all o in m)
previous o
when I am looking for previous object information as I am looping thru all objects. This allows me to see the 'actual' previous object without respect to the 'filtered' previous object.
QUESTION: Does anyone know of a way to do this from within a "DXL Attribute" when a filter is turned on? I would like to access the 'actual' previous object not the filtered previous object.
Thanks
Dan

Hi Reik,
Thanks for your response. I don't think I want to be looping thru all objects in the module from within an attribute DXL. (Actually, I've never tried it but it sounds like may be problematic) Have you ever done this?

You could turn off the filtering in your DXL attribute and turn it back on at the end of the program.

If all your object absolute numbers are in order one way would be to do:

Hi Dan,

I think it isn't so problematic as you think. There are often things to do with a for o in entire Module loop.
The code within the loop is small and does not access attributes, so it should be fast enough

Of course you are right - it is not a best performance solution. It would be much better to do the loop one time and store the reults into a Skip list - but this would only be possible, if you have a global Skip list. It must be shared between all ADXL sessions

Greetings
Reik
