In a module that has a column with contents of the Layout DXL (~ 300 lines), I need to replace that DXL script with a new DXL script. How do I import the new DXL script into the current Layout DXL? I have used ctrl+c to copy from a editor and ctrl+v to paste it in the current Layout DXL, but it doesn't work. I also tried right-click in the current layout dxl, but still not working. I really don't want to re-type every line in the current layout dxl. Please help me to import or copy the new dxl script into the current layout dxl. Thanks in advance! tql

cut and paste into the layout dxl window does work -- you did not give enought information for me to deduce what you were doing wrong --

So the obvious thing for you to do is to keep trying till you figure out out to paste into the window

Normally, when you update layout DXL, the behaviour of dialogs is as follows:

Edit Column Dialog
-> Browse...
Browse DXL Dialog
-> Current...
Edit Layout DXL Dialog
-> Change the DXL
-> OK
Edit Layout DXL Dialog closes
Browse DXL Dialog closes
Edit Column Dialog
-> OK
Edit Column Dialog closes

Sometimes, a module gets into a "funny" state...whereby the following behaviour is experienced:

Edit Column Dialog
-> Browse...
Browse DXL Dialog
-> Current...
Edit Layout DXL Dialog
-> Change the DXL
-> OK
Edit Layout DXL Dialog closes
Browse DXL Dialog does not close !!!

When this happens, your edited DXL has not been stored in the column. To get back to the normal behaviour, save the module and perform the edit again. I usually store my edited DXL on the clipboard in case this happens, so that I can save the module, perform the edit and then paste the edited DXL back in.

Had this problem in V5.2 but not noticed it in 7.1. One trick I found was, after hitting "Browse", to press "New" instead of "Current". You can then paste in your new text and save it as expected.
