Hello:
We were using DOORS v7.1 DB till some weeks before. We had all the templates,a ttributes and all the stuff defined and we were able to generate Word documents through WEXP.
Now, we have migrated to DOORS v8.0.
The same module, with only content changes (not attribute neither WEXP issues changes), can't export the document with the styles that were generated with previous v7.1.
Has anyone noticed anything extrange with v8.0?
We have tested that there is more or less the same problem with the basic word export capability.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.

Looks like DORS v8.0 has problems with spanish encoding special characters which are used for naming the style patterns.
We have noticed that DOORS v8.0 has some problems with LATIN encoding.
Does anyone know anything about this?

Have you applied patches to your DOORS clients? Look into this issue in the Know Problems page for DOORS 8.0
https://support.telelogic.com/en/doors/info/kpr/kpr.cfm?vid=130&ContentGroup=Exporting "Certain Word styles captured in the DOORS attribute "Paragraph Styles" are not correctly applied when the module is exported back to Word." ------------------------- Pekka.Makinen@softqa.fi SoftQA Oy -http://www.softqa.fi/ |

Hi:
I have installed patch 8.0.0.6 and still have the same problem with Traditional Chinese bouble byte characters. After expoting to Word from DOORS, Word ignore my setting and generate a new character style which is not what I want.

Is it possible that you can send me a copy of one of your templates for DOORS 7.1? I am having problems understanding WEXP. I have the user guide, but no templates to see how WEXP works and how to setup a template. Edited: 9-Jun-2006 at 19:25 by William Lutz |
