![]() Answer: Thanks for help, but the solution was much more easier... I was at the "Project view" and that caused the error message, when I switched to "Database view" the archivation worked. But who would ever assume that? (My project name was free of illegal signs, it was alphanumeric. But this was also my first idea .) Nevertheless, thanks for your effort. -Adam | |

Hallo,
when I try to archive a project at our database the following error message occures : "Invalide project name". The archive file of course ends with *.dpa . Does anyone have a solution or know what that error message mean? When I try the same procedure locally on my computer and not on the database server everything works. Guesses:
[] Open the project, Tools Menu >> Edit DXL, type in the following, and then [Run] string NameProj = fullName(current Project) print ">" NameProj "<\n" That will print the name of the project. The carots >< are to insure you know the beginning and ending characters. [] The name of the project on the server has "illegal" characters in it as far as the Archive software is conserned. Who knows which ones are "illegal". [] The name of the project on the server has "illegal" characters in it as fare as the file-system is conserned. [] The name of the project has white space that you don't see. I suspect a trailing space [] You've got an embedded project inside your project that qualifies above. - Louie |
