It doesn't explicitely say whether or not DOORS 8.3 supports Windows 2000. But with one test machine I have DOORS v8.3 crashes with a DXL error ("realize dbExplorer") when I try to run it on W2k. I haven't heard back from support yet but has anyone else run into this ?

TIA

I experienced this last week on a server running Windows Server 2000 with Service Pack 4.

Here is the error message that was given to me:

-R-E- DXL: <M:\Program Files\Telelogic\DOORS_8.3/lib/dxl/config/baseWindowShow2.inc:37> An unexpected error has occurred: doors.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module doors.exe at 001B:006CCE6F

And, then the Diagnostic Log popped up giving me this:

Even though Telelogic says this operating system is not supported I believe they haven't officially tested it.

For example, I have been running DOORS 7.1, DOORS 8.1, DOORS 8.2 and DOORS 8.3 on Windows Server 2003 Standard 64 bit without any problems. They is no mentioned of 64 bit support. What is funny is that one day a Telelogic guy told me that having DOORS run on a 64 bit operating system was impossible. I sure proved him to be incorrect.
