OK...I'm having some kind of brain fart here.
I have a DXL script that I want to run say every hour. I set up a scheduled task to run it and it runs fine as long as I'm logged in to the computer. However, once I log out the task stops running. This is on WinXP, and I have "Run only if logged on" deselected. The script runs in batch mode. Am I missing something? I vaguely remember something about terminal services and scheduled tasks not working....but this isn't a terminal service. ------------------------- Scott Boisvert Engineering Tools Administrator L-3 Communications - Avionics Systems scott.boisvert@l-3com.com |

Are you using the DXL Server? (i.e. running DXL through dxlipf.exe)
Your local DXL server might not be running when you are not logged? ------------------------- Georges Reti Requirements engineering, Systems engineering CAE |

One possible temporary fix would be to instead of logging out, just lock your computer.

We figured it out. Our illustrious IT guys mapped the network drives incorrectly on the server. The batch file was pointing the U:\ drive and they had it mapped as the F:\ drive. Script just wasn't executing. At least that was the problem with the live server. I'll have to look into the DXL Server on my test server, I'm pretty sure its not running.

Scott
you also need to manually set from the default: Wake the computer to run this task ( under the Settings tab ) otherwise it won't wake up ------------- Gordon Woods BAE Systems (Operations) Limited, Warton, UK gordon.woods2@baesystems.com |

We figured it on the live server, the test server remained a problem. Figured that out too....its running Win XP.
