Hi all,
we are currently evaluating an upgrade from 5.2 to 8.1. What we discovered is that "Object Text" (and maybe other RichText attributes as well) get *lots* of RTF codes added whenever they are edited through the GUI (this does not happen when assigning directly through DXL). The RTF is not in the subset which claims to be "supported" by DOORS and also does not seem to be exported when exporting for either RTF or Office/WORD. It just sits there and significantly increases the size of your objects. What irritates me even more is that the language code does *not* correspond to the locale of the Object Text attribute (german=1031) and that the font does *not* correspond to the display font selected for this text level (Courier). This makes its presence (at least for me) highly questionable. The RTF can be made visible by using the layout-DXL library script "Display rich text codes" It seems to be there at least since 7.1 (I currently don't have a 6.0 client at hand) Does anyone have an idea what this is good for??? best regards, Dietmar Edited: 9-Aug-2006 at 16:01 by Dietmar Berg |
