I am trying to use the Coffee machine tutorial with my TAU Modler. I first bring up me new TAU Modeler and am asked for a license key. I then point at the file sent to me by TeleLogic. The system accepts my key file and allows me to enter the tutorial. I am asked to create a work space which I do. Then I am asked to create a Project within that workspace. When I try this I am told the system is unable to get my license. What gives? I just pointed to the file to get access to the tutorial. System seemed happy when that was done.

Hi, sometimes the license file can be a bit fussy -- FlexNet doesn't like extra stuff at the end of a line for example. Also, you might check to be sure each FEATURE entry starts a new line.

Every now and then I see license files with cr/lf stuff in them, or other trash at the end of a line, or mis-wrapped lines.

The PACKAGE line should enable everything you need, the FEATURE actually unlocks it. So make sure you have both, that there is no extra stuff after the "\" characters and that they each start on a new line.

PACKAGE TAU_Modeler telelogic 2.7 COMPONENTS="TAU-M-ACDE:2.7 TAU-M-ADE:2.7 TAU-M-CDE:2.7 TAU-M-SCDE:2.7 TAU-M-SQDE:2.7 TAU-M-TDE:2.7 TAU-M-UCDE:2.7 TAU-M-UML-BASE:2.7 " OPTIONS=SUITE SIGN="deleted stuff"
FEATURE TAU_Modeler telelogic 2.700 28-feb-2008 5 VENDOR_STRING=T10-083705 SIGN2="deleted stuff"

Also, does the file have a SERVER and VENDOR line in it? Make sure they are correct, that the VENDOR daemon path is correct for your system.

Just making some educated guesses right now.

When I try to create a project I get "Can't find License" Yet I gave TAU my license file when I installed the software and the system comes up Okay. I really need this software as I am teaching a Rhaposidy customer OOA/D and they would like to use this tool for modeling.
