When you specify the String value for the Key Word parameter:

• Use exactly the same characters (including spaces) and case (upper or lower case) as the string that appears on the document page.
• Note that instead of the string VIEW THE NOTE you could have used just the string VIEW at the same row and column location. However, VIEW THE NOTE is more particular than VIEW, and therefore possibly can help to distinguish this type of document from other documents of a similar format.
• The key word or phrase that you use does not have to occur on row 1 of every screen. It can occur on any row that you specify. For example, you might have an application that has an identifying character string on row 24 of every page.

When you specify the row and column values for the Key Word parameter:

• If you are having trouble finding an identifying string that occurs at the same row and column location on every page, consider using -1 as the row or column value.
  • A row value of -1 indicates that the identifying string can occur on any row of a page.
  • A column value of -1 indicates that the identifying string can occur in any column of a page.

  For example, you might specify a row of -1, a column of -1, and a string of "." (period). To match this identification, the document would have to have at least one "." at some row and column location on every single page. The "." could appear in a different location on each page of the document.
