System requirements

To run the Rational DOORS Web Access v1.3.0.1 server components, you need one of the following operating systems installed on your computer:

Note: Linux machines must have a localhost alias set.

To run the Rational DOORS Web Access v1.3.0.1 client you need one of the following browser and operating system combinations:

The Rational DOORS Web Access v1.3.0.1 client does not run on Solaris.

You also need a Rational DOORS Web Access Interoperation Server (a Rational DOORS v9.2.0.5 client or later), which must be installed on one of the following operating systems:

Depending on usage, a Rational DOORS Web Access Server system may need more RAM than this. The server components can be distributed across several machines.

Installing Rational DOORS Web Access v1.3.x

If you are upgrading from a previous version of Rational DOORS Web Access, clear the browser caches on client machines. There can be occasions when old resources, such as old versions of HTML pages can cause unexpected behavior.

Obtaining a license for Rational DOORS Web Access

In order to download and install Rational DOORS Web Access v1.3.0.1, your organization must have a license with valid maintenance and be running version 1.5 or 2.0 of the Rational License Server TL.

The Rational DOORS Web Access Interoperation Server v9.2.0.5

Although this version of Rational DOORS Web Access is compatible with the Rational DOORS Database Server v9.2.0.0 or later, the Rational DOORS Web Access Interoperation Server must be v9.2.0.5. The Interoperation Server is a Rational DOORS v9.2.0.5 client, which is only available from IBM Fix Central.

Limitations

Triggers

Rational DOORS Web Access does not support triggers or DXL scripts that display dialog boxes. Consequently, Rational DOORS Web Access does not support Rational Change for DOORS Interface, which depends on triggers.

System user name login policy

The system user name login policy for Rational DOORS databases is not supported with Rational DOORS Web Access.
