You can publish data models the Data Studio web console
from the workbench by using the Publish Data Models view.
Before you begin
You can only publish data models by using InfoSphere® Data Architect or the IBM® Data Studio full client workbench.
You can share the following types of models:
- InfoSphere Data Architect
- Logical data models
- Physical data models
- Glossary models
- Data Studio full client
- Physical data models
About this task
When you publish data models to the web console, you share
the projects and the data models in those projects with the web console.
After you enable publishing, you can publish data about your tool
and data models to the Data Studio web console.
Procedure
- If the Publish Data Models view is
not already open, open it by clicking the Publish Data
Models button.
- Enable publishing. Specify the following information,
then click Enable:
- URL for the web console
- Web console user ID
- Web console password
The workbench uses the information that you
specified to connect to the web console and enable publishing from
your workbench. The Publish Data Models view
is updated after you enable publishing and displays the connection
status.
- If you want to publish information about your workspace
and data models to the web console, select the models that you want
to publish, then click Publish.
Results
You enabled publishing from your tool. Information about your
tool, workspace, and models is displayed in the web console when you
publish that data.
