Before you connect to the repository database for InfoSphere® Optim™ Performance Manager, you must enable
the option in the Preferences window.
Before you begin
- You must install InfoSphere Optim Performance Manager Extended
Edition, Version 4.1.0.1 or later in order to use this feature.
- The database that you plan to run the SQL against must be configured
in InfoSphere Optim Performance Manager for Extended
Insight monitoring.
About this task
If you have access to an instance of InfoSphere Optim Performance
Manager Extended Edition, you can connect to the InfoSphere Optim Performance
Manager repository database and collect data about the performance
of your SQL queries.
Procedure
To enable performance data collection:
- In the workbench, open the Preferences window. From the main menu, select .
- Expand the Data Management node
and select Performance Metrics.
- Select the Enable data performance collection option,
then click OK to save your preferences.
What to do next
You can now use the SQL editor view to run SQL statements
against your performance repository database and collect performance
data.
The Performance Metrics view displays this data for you to
view, compare, and sort performance metrics.
