Authorities and privileges for monitoring query workloads

Your authorization ID must have the authorities and privileges to perform monitoring tasks from the client.
The following table lists the authorities and privileges that are required for monitoring query workloads from the client.

Starting and stopping monitor profiles All of the following authorities and privileges:
  • SYSOPR, SYSCTRL, or SYSADM authority
  • EXECUTE privilege on the SYSPROC.ADMIN_COMMAND_DB2 or SYSPROC.DSNACCMD stored procedures
Creating and enabling monitor profiles, and performing other monitoring tasks All of the following authorities and privileges:
  • EXECUTE privilege on all of the following packages:
    • AOC5OADM
    • AOC5OEPJ (DB2® for z/OS® Version 8)
    • AOC5OEPK (DB2 for z/OS Versions 9 and 10)
    • AOC5ONPT
    • AOC5OPKG
    • AOC5OFMJ (DB2 for z/OS Versions 8 and 9)
    • AOC5OFMM (DB2 for z/OS Version 10)
    AOC5OWCK (DB2 for z/OS Versions 9 and 10 CM9)
  • For using the stored procedures, EXECUTE on SYSPROC.OPT_RUNSQL and SYSPROC.OPT_EXECUTE_TASK stored procedures
  • For using the Administrative Scheduler , EXECUTE on the SYSPROC.ADMIN_TASK_ADD and SYSPROC.ADMIN_TASK_REMOVE stored procedures
  • EXECUTE privilege on SYSPROC.ADMIN_COMMAND_DB2 or SYSPROC.DSNACCMD
