Before you begin
- For Windows installations,
the user that is installing the product must have administrator privileges.
- For Linux or UNIX installations, the user that is installing
the product must have root or sudo root authority.
If you install pureQuery Runtime with InfoSphere® Optim™ Performance Manager Extended
Edition, see Installing InfoSphere Optim pureQuery Runtime with products that contain common software components for information about
the installation locations that you can choose.
About this task
Version 3.1.1 is available on a product DVD.
Procedure
To install this version from the product DVD:
- Insert the InfoSphere Optim pureQuery Runtime
for Linux, UNIX, and Windows DVD
for your platform into your drive. For Linux: Ensure that you have mounted the
DVD drive.
If autorun is enabled on your Windows computer, the InfoSphere Optim pureQuery Runtime
for Linux, UNIX, and Windows installation
wizard opens.
- If autorun is not enabled on your Windows computer, or if your computer is
running Linux or UNIX, browse to the directory that is specific
to the platform of your system and run the following .exe or .bin
file in that directory:
- For Windows, run IBM_OPQRT_V3_1_1_Windows_version.exe.
For example, if you are installing InfoSphere Optim pureQuery Runtime
for Linux, UNIX, and Windows V3.1.1
for the 32 bit version of Windows, run the IBM_OPQRT_V3_1_1_Windows.exe file.
- For Linux and UNIX: For a root user installation,
run IBM_OPQRT_V3_1_1_operating_system.bin.
- Follow the instructions in the installation wizard to complete
the installation.
When you install version 3.1.1 of
the product, you can choose to run the configuration tool. If you
want to configure a WebSphere® Application
Server to work with IBM® InfoSphere Optim pureQuery
Runtime for Linux, UNIX, and Windows,
select the Configure IBM InfoSphere Optim pureQuery Runtime option
on the Installation Complete page, then click Done.
If you do not want to configure the WebSphere Application Server after you
install the product, you can run the
configuration tool at a later time.
