Use this page to select the type of expression that you want to create.

You can create one of the following types of expressions:

Function
A function expression is denoted by a function name and any parameters required. The function runs an operation and returns a value.
CASE
A CASE expression causes an expression to be selected based on the evaluation of one or more conditions.
CAST
A CAST expression converts an instance of a data type into an instance of a different data type.
Constant
A constant expression specifies a value such as a string or a number.
Subquery
A subquery expression is a SELECT, WITH, or FULLSELECT statement that typically returns a single value to use as an expression within another SQL statement.
Build up expressions by operators
An expression that is built by applying operators to columns or expressions.
