Mapping of SQL and JDBC data types to XML data types

The data type of a parameter or column of a result set in a message is specified using XML data types.

The following table shows the default mappings from SQL and JDBC data types to XML data types.

Note:
  1. BINARY, DATALINK, VARBINARY, and ROWID are not supported as stored procedure input and output parameters.
The following PL/SQL data type support applies:
  • The %ROWTYPE attribute is not supported as an input or output parameter.
  • The %TYPE attribute is supported as both input and output parameter.
  • The REF CURSOR data type is supported as an output parameter by JDBC but is not supported by pureQuery.
  • The SYS_REFCURSOR data type is supported as an output parameter by JDBC but is not supported by pureQuery.
