Running a task manually

You can run a task manually from either the Designer Task menu or the Scheduled Tasks window.

To run a task manually from the Designer Task menu:

  1. In the Designer navigation tree, expand Scheduled Tasks.
  2. Under Scheduled Tasks, click the name of the task that you want to run.

    The Task window opens in the right pane and displays the properties of the selected task.

  3. On the Designer Task menu, click Run.

    The Task Scheduler window opens and lets you know that the task run was started on the designated host.

  4. Click OK.

To run a task manually from the Scheduled Tasks window:

  1. In the Designer navigation tree, click Scheduled Tasks.

    The Scheduled Tasks window opens in the right pane. The table in this window lists all of the existing scheduled tasks.

    Tip: To get a more complete view of the information displayed, on the Designer View menu, click Navigation tree, and then maximize the Scheduled Tasks window.
  2. In the table, right-click the row that contains information about the task you want to run, and then click Run Task.

    The Task window opens in the right pane and displays the properties of the selected task.

    The Task Scheduler window opens and lets you know that the task run was started on the designated host.

  3. Click OK.
