Rational ProjectConsole
Maintenance Tool Help
If you have a Rational ProjectConsole
site that was created using an earlier version of Rational ProjectConsole,
you must migrate the data from that site to a new repository before you can
connect to it with the currently installed version of Rational ProjectConsole.
Note: If you created data transformations using an earlier version of the Rational ProjectConsole
Designer, you must upgrade these manually after you migrate your data. For
information about how to manually migrate existing data transformations, see
"Upgrading data transformations after migrating data" in the Rational ProjectConsole
Designer Help.
To migrate data from a Rational ProjectConsole
site that was created using an earlier version of Rational ProjectConsole:
- On the Rational ProjectConsole
server, click.
- Click Migrate data from a previous version
of ProjectConsole, and then click Next.
- From the Database type list,
select the database
- Specify required information about the databases you want to migrate.
The
database information you provide next depends on which of the following database
type you selected in step 2:
- After you specify the required source database information,
click Next.
- In the New repository name field,
type a name for the new repository in which to store the migrated data.
- In the Old install location field,
if the previous version of Rational ProjectConsole
was installed somewhere other than the default directory, enter the correct
path or browse to find
the installation location.
- In the New install location field,
if the currently installed version of Rational ProjectConsole
is installed somewhere other than the default directory, enter the correct
path or browse to find
the installation location.
- Click Finish.
On the status page, an Operation Complete message
should display. After that message is displayed, click Done or
Exit. If this message does not display, check the
status box for possible errors or exceptions. Then fix the error condition
and complete these steps again to copy or create a repository.
