Fixes Defects: PI05748,PI06133 ,PI08503,PI09398,PM90878,PM90880,PM95740,SecurityFixes This patch contains the following software changes: PI05748: Problem: The IBM Rational ClearCase mvfsstat utility can report an incorrect value for maximum RPC delay time on multi-processor systems. Fix: IBM Rational ClearCase has been modified to report the maximum RPC delay time correctly. PI06133 : Problem: While running Rational Clearcase on AIX the customer may experience a system panic with a stack trace that resembles this (the key MVFS function in the trace is mvfs_aix_lookup_component): CRASH INFORMATION: CPU 0 CSA F000000030019600 at time of crash, error code for LEDs: 70000000 pvthread+014A00 STACK: WARNING: bad IAR: 00000000, display stack from LR: 04936EC8 [04936EC8]aix2onc_hold+000048 (F1000A02007C1038 [??]) [005A019C]vnop_hold+00003C (??) PI08503: Problem: Users of IBM Rational ClearCase might encounter spurious "File not found" errors during large parallel builds Fix: IBM Rational ClearCase has been modified to no longer return spurious "File not found errors" during builds. PI09398: Problem: A system on which a parallel audited build is running in IBM Rational ClearCase may hang due to a locking deadlock in the file system. Fix: The order of locking file system resources when writing audit records during a parallel audited build was modified to avoid a potential deadlock. PM90878: Problem: Large multiprocessor build servers running HP-UX 11.31 would experience sporadic system crashes during periods of high activity. Fix: Locking around the vnode reference count in the IBM Rational ClearCase Multi Version File System (MVFS) was corrected, to prevent race conditions between threads deactivating and reactivating the same file object. PM90880: Problem: When stopping IBM Rational ClearCase services on an HP-UX system which had been running a substantial load, it was possible to receive errors unmounting some VOBs, and that in turn prevented successful unmount of the viewroot. Fix: Changes were made in the ClearCase Multi Version File System (MVFS) file inactivation code to correctly release all resources on the last close of a file which had been opened by multiple processes. PM95740: Problem: Processes could hang if they attempted to access a file in the IBM Rational ClearCase Multi-Version File System that was in the process of being deleted. Fix: IBM Rational ClearCase has been modified to eliminate a race condition so that processes will not hang while accessing files that are in the process of being deleted. SecurityFixes: Problem: Some 3rd party components were identified as having security vulnerabilities. Fix: For details about these security fixes, go to www.ibm.com/support/entry/portal, enter the product, and then when prompted, the base version. On the resulting page, under Product support content, click "Flashes, alerts, and bulletins". Then filter by release and the document type of "Security bulletins".
