Understand Stakeholder Needs
After you have determined the nature of the business problem, the causes for the problem, and the stakeholders who are affected by the problem, you are ready to begin to identify the features that must be provided by a successful solution. You do that by eliciting requests for features from your stakeholders and then deriving requirements from those requests.
You can gather features from stakeholders through the following techniques:
- brainstorming,
- workshops,
- interviewing,
- questionnaires,
- storyboarding,
- role playing,
- prototyping,
- prioritizing
