If you want to add an existing Microsoft® Visual Studio project to Rational® ClearCase® source
control, you must first move it to a ClearCase view
directory.
- Using Windows® Explorer or another file browser, locate
the Visual Studio solution that you want to put under ClearCase source
control.
- Move the entire directory that contains the Visual Studio solution
to the ClearCase view
that you want to use.
- In Visual Studio, click . The added
project appears in the list of projects of the target view.
- Right-click the project and click Open.
The solution is loaded in the Solution Explorer. The Visual Studio
project elements are view-private files until you add the solution to source
control.
You can now add the solution to source control by right-clicking
the solution in the Solution Explorer and clicking Add Solution
to Rational ClearCase.
